Welcome, everyone! This is the (new, massively improved) galaxy map for the DT Space RP. For those of you returning, there are some new changes over previous iterations of the space map. First, we have transitioned to a "cluster" system, where-by individual systems are no longer marked on the map, instead being replaced by groupings of systems. Second, the scope of the map has expanded to now include the entire galaxy. Finally, we have modified the starting allotment of systems to add flexibility. There are two maps, both 2800 x 2800 pixels, or roughly 39 x 39 inches - in other words, they are large 1.8 megabyte files. Galactic RP scales unfortunately comes at the cost of galactic image sizes, but the price is well worth it. The first map is treated as the actual RP map. This shows all clusters on the map, the locations of the varying species and empires, and the travel lanes between systems (note: extra-solar travel between systems is only permitted along the designated pathways). The second map assigns a number to all available clusters on the map. This will be used to lay claims. Actual Map http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/84/dtgalaxy.jpg/ Numbered Map http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/84/dtgalaxynumbered.jpg/ Claims Process Unlike insurance companies, I will not be nearly as anal in dealing with your map requests. Just follow my simple directions, and you will receive your spot on the map. You can choose up to eight clusters at the start. You do not need to choose the full eight - any number up to eight will do. For each cluster, you can have up to three systems, for a maximum total of 24 systems across eight clusters. Again, you are not required to have three systems per cluster, only up to three systems. Having only two systems in one cluster does not mean you can have four in another. The limit is three. Use the template below to make your map request. Use the numbered map to select which clusters you would like. Remember that the gray dotted lines between clusters denote the travel connections between systems.
- Addentum: Space has been reserved on this map for future expansion. If you look carefully, clusters were generally placed along the various spiral arms of the Milky Way. Some arms, and some sections of arms have been left barren for future expansion. Consider these areas unexplored. Edited by Nuke, Dec 24 2011, 05:30 AM.

Excellent. I'll have those claims worked into the map. As the file is rather large, I'm going to wait until a few more people get their claims up until I post an update. |

Once a large enough spread of clusters is on the map, I can begin to look at it as a larger compilation and begin fine-tuning the various aspects of the map - text included. Fortunately, Photoshop makes that rather easy to do. |

Got it. I'll make certain that I continually update the Numbered map, too. That ought to make things easier for everyone to claim systems (so we know who's where). |

I've revised my application a little, here it is: Name: Commonwealth of Spacer Worlds, known as Thirteen Colonies Desired Color: 15, 102, 22 (should be a shade of green) Cluster 1 (Primary/Capital Cluster): 8, Sagan Traverse - System 1 (Capital System): 18 Scorpii (Capital: Sagania) - System 2: Alula Australis (Capital: Solaria) - System 3: Rana (uninhabited, Drift stations) Cluster 2: 7, Newton's Cradle - System 1: Newton (Capital: Melpomenia) - System 2: Beta Hydrii (Capital: Oppenheimer) - System 3: 36 Ophiuchi (uninhabited, Drift stations) Cluster 3: 99, Kepler Verge - System 1: Alsafi (Capital: Cuhulín) - System 2: Fomalhaut (Capital: Asimova) - System 3: Herschel (uninhabited, Drift stations) Cluster 4: 6, Voyager Cluster - System 1: Achird (Capital: Aurora) - System 2: Columbia (uninhabited, Drift stations) - System 3: Delta Pavonis (Capital: Caliban) Cluster 7: 9, Summer Triangle - System 1: Altair (Capital: Altair) - System 2: Vega (Capital: Sakharov) - System 3: Auriga (uninhabited, Drift stations) Cluster 5: 10, Coalsack Nebula - System 1: Schwarzschild (Capital: Schrödinger) Cluster 6: 11, Far Frontier - System 1: Epsilon Crucis Australis (Capital: Hawking's World) - System 2: Darwin (Capital: Siquoiya) - System 3: Faraday (uninhabited, Drift stations) |

I'm wishing to preserve the Nth'ch star clusters relitive to the humans they've contacted. I'll let you pick the star cluster numbers Nuke to situate them relitive to human space. similar to the map here: http://s403.photobucket.com/albums/pp116/DragonGaming/Dragon%20Gaming/Space/Action/?action=view¤t=JumpRoutes.jpg [Human Space] ..[#4].[#5] [#2][#1][#3] The Nth'ch don't refer to names of systems (or now clusters) but their grid reference (relative to Prime) hence the letter/number system of system names. Cluster 1 (Primary/Capital Cluster): [00]{Nth'ch Prime sector} Center Nth'ch space - System 1 (Capital System):Ceoyai-Apu (Yellow sun) - System 2:Iurmonu (binary, white dwarf/red star) - System 3:Do'Hruatho (Orange sun) Cluster 2: [L01]Left Nth'ch space - System 1:T'Aurade Sigma (blue sun) - System 2:Og VI (red sun) - System 3:Ezon Decimus (yellow sun) Cluster 3: [R01N01]Right Nth'ch space - System 1:Uivie (blue sun) - System 2:Tmuorn VIII (binary red/white dwarf) {moon planet Nemisis} - System 3:Ewrabus Nonus (orange sun) Cluster 4: [L02N02]Left gate to humans - System 1: Devious tyrant (orange sun) Amber zone (primitive mamalian society) - System 2: ?? - System 3: ?? Cluster 5: [N01]Right gate to humans - System 1: Lurking Mastermind (orange sun) Red zone (dangerous machine planet) - System 2: ?? - System 3: ?? [edit] O.k. Looking at what's left relative to the human space looks like the Nth'ch cluster will be relative north of it(and Nth'ch relative north now aiming down) so here are the system locations (info above) C1: [90] 00 (Nth'ch Prime) C2: [95] L01 (Left Nth'ch space) C3: [88] R01N01 (Right Nth'ch space) C4: [119] L02N02 (Devious Tyrant amber zone) C5: [89] N01 (Lurking Mastermind red zone) I'd like to keep the bugs zone color purple if possible. Dragon, I'm not placing your systems for you. You can wait until I update the map (tomorrow evening, I'm thinking) if it's that much of a problem not being able to see where everyone is. |

He actually stated which systems he wants to claim in the latter half of his post he edited (88, 89, 90, 95, 105). But yeah, was a touch confusing. Why he's claiming so few, including 2 border dmz systems, is a bit confusing) Also, yay for updates. I want to see me on a map! lol

I see. The bold red numbers immediately next to them seem to have thrown me off. To clarify my reasoning, I don't do people's requests for them given that 99 times out of a hundred the person in question will decide they don't like the way I did their request and ask (or in most cases, demand) that I change it. I wore out my tolerance for being dicked around like that a long time ago, so I just don't do it. Simple rule, never broke it. |

Don't forget to add in the cluster numbers, Warr. I've updated the map (in preparation for my not being here this weekend). The numbered map has also been updated, as promised, to make future selections a tad bit easier. Also, I adjusted the text font a bit, so it should be more readable now.
