EDIT (FROM NUKE): Please see Post 3 before replying to this thread. A thread merger has disrupted the original order of this thread. Please blame Zetaboards for skimping on its moderation capabilities. Thank you.

Association of Nth'ch
Other names: Other species refer to them as 'the bugs'
Family: Animal
Genus: Insectoid
Species: Various

Height: Depends on the insect type. Most range from 4-8 feet in length though many can be sort of upright (dragonfly variants for example) making them 'stand' up to 6 feet. Winged species have wingspans up to 12 feet.

Weight: Also depends on species. The heaviest would be the 'brood queen' responsible for the various worker drone sub species. The lightest would be some of the smaller worker drones

Colouration: Wide diversity even in same species. The Nth'ch take pride in the evolutionary diversity that many other species abhore. What doesn't kill the Association can only improve it.

Lifespan:

Home planet:

Home system:

Physical description:

Special characteristics: Each species tends to specialize in it's purpose to the collective. Command cast are typiclally large wolf spider types. Navigator cast resembles large moths with elaborate antennae. More coming soon

- Ability 2:

History:

[occ] I'll get more elaborate on the Nth'ch when I return home on march 3rd. But this is the basics from abroad.

PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD, NOT THE OTHER ONE, SO I CAN FORMAT YOUR POST AS IT MIGHT BE NECESSARY TO KEEP THE "CODEX DAEMONES" ORDERLY.

Below is how your post should look once posted, INCLUDING THE "CODE" FORMAT.

Code:

[center][b][big][big][big]Arzhamars[/big][/big][/big][/b][/center]
[b]Other names[/b]: Selenarans
[b]Family[/b]: [i]Selenaris[/i]
[b]Genus[/b]: [i]Selenarensis[/i]
[b]Species[/b]: [i]Selenarensis[/i]

[b]Height[/b]:
- [u]Males[/u]: 130 - 150 cm (140 cm. average)
- [u]Females[/u]: 140 - 160 cm (150 cm. average)

[b]Weight[/b]:
- [u]Males[/u]: 20 - 40 kg (30 kg. average)
- [u]Females[/u]: 30 - 50 kg (40 kg. average)

[b]Colouration[/b]:
- [u]Hair[/u]: Shades of black, purple, green or blue.
- [u]Eyes[/u]: Shades of orange, blue, gold, silver, green, or red.
- [u]Skin[/u]: Shades of purple, blue or ash.

[b]Subspecies[/b]:
-- [u]Nycterii[/u]: Feature purple or blue skin and just about any eye or hair colour, these Arzhamars are the most wide-spread variety and live in the more tolerant regions of Qahir-3. They feature better night vision than the other varieties.
-- [u]Pyrii[/u]: This variety is more much tolerant to heat, and lives near volcanic regions. They tend to feature ash skin and orange or red eyes with ash or black hair, though variations are not uncommon.
-- [u]Ela'rusii[/u]: This variety is much more tolerant to cold and lives near the polar regions of Qahir-3. They offer ice blue skin, hair and eyes, with variations in shades. Variations in shades are uncommon but not unheard of.

[b]Lifespan[/b]: Up to 160 to 200 years, adulthood at 16. Arzhamars age at about the same rate as humans, until the age of 25; at that point, they cease growing old, with old age visible through the silvering of their hair.

[b]Home planet[/b]: Qahir-3

[b]Home system[/b]: Selenar-2/46

[b]Physical description[/b]: Arzhamars are humanoids not too shorter than humans and of a similar appearance, but much lighter because of the conditions on their home planet. They generally have seemingly frail but actually stout builds with little excess fat, long pointed ears (10 to 15 cm long) and little to no body hair, due to the high average temperature of their planet. Although they lack physical strength by comparison, they tend to be smart and agile, favouring speed and cunning over brute force. They have big hearts for their size, and generally live about twice to two and a half times as long as the average human can.

[b]Special characteristics[/b]: Arzhamars have excellent vision even in the absence of proper lighting, but they cannot see in total darkness. They also feature excellent hearing thanks to their long, pointed, directional ears, and excellent scent with their somewhat flatter noses, that can detect scents up to many miles away. They have very good adaptive abilities and can survive in different environments in terms of atmospheric pressure and composition without support, so long as the atmosphere isn't too different from their own (such as, for example, Earth's.) They have a nanite host and pheromonal communication capabilities (see below.)

- [u]Nanite host[/u]: Arzhamars each host a symbiotic nanite "host", microscopic bio-machines that live in their bodies. These viral machines reproduce by utilising chemicals and metals found in the body and pass on from generation to generation, and generally provide additional immunization to disease (making Arzhamars harder to infect by diseases) as well as the capability to learn "harnessing" them. They generally "feed" on foreign bodies, including nanites of other individuals should they somehow change bodies. By "harnessing" them, an Arzhamar can achieve seemingly "supernatural" phenomena by using them to affect the moisture, temperature, and other characteristics of their environment, and thus create imitations of the classical elements like water, fire and ice, achieving effects that can be considered "magical" by an inexperienced observer. Such a thing requires training, however, and more advanced "secrets" of the nanites require very hard training to unlock. Most Arzhamars do not realise they host such nanomachines, and consider these capabilities innate. These nanites are a "relic" left over by the Selenar Empire.

- [u]Pheromones[/u]: By partly utilising their own biological structure and partly their nanites, Arzhamars can exploit pheromones to a certain degree, allowing them to communicate and affect emotions over short distances (generally up to 10 metres.) By utilising advanced technology they can utilise pheromones to pass on complex messages in the form of a unique telecommunication potential.

Nuke, if you can move Dragon's post in this thread I'll be glad.

Sorry Antaris, I was working remotely from memory. I'll be able to give you full backgrounds when I get back from Minnisota in March. Thought I'd get the basics up and edit in the rest when I got back.

Mashriqi
Other names: Souls, Beings, Tziki
Family: Primai
Genus: Mashriqi
Species: Mashriqi

Height:
- Males: 80 - 110 cm (93 cm. average)
- Females: 76 - 99 cm (88 cm. average)

Weight:
- Males: 65 - 100 lbs. (73 lbs. average)
- Females: 60 - 90 lbs. (68 lbs. average)

Colouration:
- Hair: None.
- Eyes: Shades of orange, brown, and red.
- Skin: Shades of light pink to white.

Subspecies:
-- Mini: A diminutive, but almost physically identical species, in the same family and genus as the Mashriqi. Intellectually immature, they live in trees in the forests around the Homeworld. They are darker in skin color than the Mashriqi, and are often kept as adopted pets.

Lifespan: The average age of death is 88.

Home planet: Mashriq-2 or Homeworld

Home system: Homestar

Physical description: The Mashriqi are humanoid primates, that walk on two legs. They are short, about the size of human children, a remnant of their species past that lived in caves. They are highly intelligent and inquisitive, but violent, and ultra-fertility leads to overpopulation, which in turn leads to near constant warfare.

Special characteristics: Although oxygen is necessary for their survival, their atmosphere is comprised of heavy nitrogen and carbon dioxide gasses, which they have adapted too. An ideal environment for a human would be suffocating, though not enough to kill, and make the Being very uncomfortable. They generally travel in exo-suits when outside their planet.

Is "Homeworld" the proper name of their star system? Also, what is the number of stars (suns) in it?
