![]() ![]() Monday, March 9th, 2009 10C WAR! ![]() Boston, Massachusetts - After lengthy deliberation in the Continental Congress, the majority vote on allowing President Freeman war declaration powers in the case of the recent European genocide which might have an effect closer to home. The passing of this temporary permission has led to the official opening of hostilities between the Continental Union of America and the Socialist Democratic Republic of Naplemania and, more importantly, its monarchist dictatorial ally in Paris which holds colonial possessions in the Americas. As always, the Globe is proud to bring you this breaking story straight from the heart of the American Capitol. This debate followed soon after the impassioned and reasoned plea of the Commander-in-Chief to the Congress and the American people on March 5th to invoke the Monroe Doctrine to drive any potential genocide from the American continent. While the centuries-old doctrine of Manifest Destiny and battling the forces of Imperialism on the American continent has entered use before and certainly stood the test of time as defacto foreign policy groundwork, this is the first incident in recent memory which tested the longevity of this 186-year old decree of President James Madison. The reasoning is that, following the support of King Michel "the Mad" of the Naplemanian Italian genocide against West Slavic peoples, these policies of genocide will extend to Dictatorship-held Venezuela, an act strictly prohibited on American soil by the Monroe Doctrine. Voting split mostly along party lines with the most of the "nay" votes being offered by the Socialist Party and several isolationists within the Reform Party. The majority Democratic Party voted unanimously in favor. Several Carrier Battle Groups of the Union Third Fleet (Southern Atlantic) have deployed en route to Royalist Venezuela from Naval Yards in Portsmouth, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina. President Freeman, an ex-Marine, will be traveling personally to Washington Federal City tomorrow to observe a military parade of our brave armed men and women dispatched to this conflict and will personal thank our armed forces for the duty to humanity they are about to undertake. No matter your personal opinion, we here at the Globe wish and hope that this war will have a swift end and all the men and women of the Continental Command a safe return home. Long Live the Continental Union! ![]()

![]() 20 August, 2009 35c Alliance of the Americas in the works among other topics discussed at Los Angeles summit ![]() President Marshall (right) greets Central American President Santos Los Angeles, South California - The two leaders of the major independent powers on the American continent begun the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles today coinciding with the recent ADCON announcement on expanded colonialism in the Americas. While the Summit itself was agreed upon through correspondence and announced on the 17th of August, the City of Los Angeles specially prepared a suitable venue, security and road-closures to accomodate the arrival of the two world leaders. Units of the Continental Army are also on-hand to crush rioting in the more lawless areas of the city for the event. While the final product of this conference is yet to be determined between the two Presidents, released records of correspondence indicate that the intention is to form an alliance between American nations to repel any and all European colonialists and invaders from our native soil. This comes as ADCON begins its expansion over American land and rumors that NATO or other powers will respond in turn, leaving American land and peoples as bystanders and slaves to a European conflict. President Marshall of our Enclave greeted President Santos of the Greater Republic of Central America with a hearty handshake and a proclamation of "Viva Centroamérica! Long Live the Union of America!" President Marshall's popularity with Hispanics in the Los Angeles area has increased dramatically as support for this conference rallies across the city. ![]() 23 January, 2010 50c French becomes sole official state language in East Canada State East Canadian State Legislature in Montreal Montreal, CE - Following a special vote of the State Legislature in Montreal, French has become the official language of the State of East Canada comprising of Continental American-held parts of the former Canadian Province of Quebec. While most states do not have official state languages and the Federal government has no official national language, the move was made in light of concerns to preserve the Francophone identity present in the former province which was plagued with separatist issues. East Canada earns the rather dubious distinction of the tenth state to adopt an official language along with Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, California, Illinois and Iowa. Unlike other states, however, this presents the first time a state in the Federation has adopted French, rather than English, as a sole state language. The neighboring State of West Canada has adopted both French and English as official languages. This news means that all business with the state government in East Canada, including paper work, will be only available in French while private enterprises and stores are required to have French names and signs within the state. Federal government forms and services, however, will continue to be offered in a multitude of spoken languages in America as with states which have not adopted an official language. It is widely-expected that this change in state policy could lead to an influx of Anglophone East Canadians into West Canada, Acadia State and the New England region. The State Legislature, in recent months, has seen the return of many Quebecois cultural symbols and the promotion of "Canadien" heritage more in-line with Quebec's original name: Canada, which it has fought many legal battles with West Canada for the rights to since both states were admitted into the American Federation. There has been much speculation if this move came with the political motive of appealing to Quebec nationalists to support the Federal States and the further goal, in light of the current situation in Canada, of enlisting support from French Canadians to favor the Continental Federation over the United Empire in light of recent tensions over territorial expansion by both nations. Continental Universal Healthcare System (CHS) reaches new states ![]() Aid station in Iowa open to the public and refugees from conflict with terrorists and PMCs Des Moines, IA - Federal America has ensured that the comfort and right to free medical treatment was extended to the new citizens of our Continental Federation from the new states involved in repatriation to the American Homeland. While the new states are not fully secured, the urgency of providing aid and all the government services granted to all Americans by Washington goes hand-in-hand with its commitment to irredentism. In describing the much-welcomed move, Secretary of Health and Human Services Rear Admiral Joseph Sestak was quoted as saying, "the American promise of liberty, equality and justice for all cannot and will not stop at an imaginary line or waver in the face of danger. It can and must extend to all of America Irredentia and to anyone who wishes to call her home and serve the Federation with citizenship. As an armed serviceman, healthcare was always provided to me and my family by a grateful nation and under the Federal States, the Armed Forces will return the favor to the Nation." As with the rest of Federal America, healthcare and medicare will be provided free of charge regardless of birthplace or former U.S. citizenship though, as medical professionals are limited, an oath of allegiance to the Federation will be required in order to receive treatment at hospitals and aid stations. With the return of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois into statehood and the addition of the State of Acadia, Americans in these states are jubilant and eager to pledge their civic duty to their Homeland and the Continental Republic for which it stands. As a result, the end of Phase 2 of the War of American Reunification sees a vast majority of Americans alive today in those states covered by healthcare and other humanitarian services where hospitals were in a reckless state of abandon before, all thanks to the Federal States of America. No longer will they suffer from a lack of access to medical treatment and other necessities due to the terror of predatory warlords, Private Corporate Armies and Christian terrorist groups. Formerly deserted hospitals are now staffed by Continental Army surgeons and areas lacking or with no medical facilities receive the benefit of equal and fair treatment for all their ills at Continental Army aid stations with available helicopter transportation to hospitals. These are all continued signs of a wounded America standing up on its own two feet oncemore and nursing its wounds due to the courageous and patriotic efforts of civic-minded Americans. This is all made possible by the soldier, the scientist, the engineer, the doctor, the worker, the economic and industrial entrepreneur and, regular citizens doing their part, like YOU. For many who were about to lose loved ones to easily curable and preventable diseases, their joy is clear, in the words of 38-year old Iowan Jim Sheridan, "If it weren't for America's promise, I would have lost those I care about most, my daughters. I'm overwhelmed, my heart swells with love for the Federation and I hope my community can repay the debt we owe it in years to come." An idea as old as a free America, every man a minuteman ready to defend his or her Continent and every minuteman a brother-in-arms ready to protect and care for each other. So, the next time the life of a loved one, be they a son, daughter, wife, husband, parent, grandparent, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend or same-sex marriage partner, is saved from death or illness, be sure to thank the hard-working medical professionals in the Continental Healthcare System and the Federal States which have made it all possible. Do not take your country for granted, ask what you can do for America and the Continental Federation today for a brighter tomorrow. Edited by Hawkeye, Jan 23 2010, 09:13 PM.

![]() This is Federal Network WDC-TV for January 19th, 2010: The Voice of America's Capital Heartland. Ahead of local news, we bring you tonight's top story: MOBILIZATION! Following increased militarization efforts in Canada by the United Empire of Great Britain and the declaration of a Canadian constituent state of the United Empire which has directly claimed all of Canada, including the States of West Canada, East Canada and Acadia and the Republic of Montelimar, President Marshall was forced to take a firm stance against our former allies. The call has gone forth to all citizens to mobilize in the face of continued aggression towards their fellow Americans. ![]() In a special press conference at the White House today, the President dismissed critics of American legitimacy in Canada stating, "To be quite honest, America has a few paramount and sacred duties to perform which boil down to: the restoration of American peace and order and the preservation of self-determination and democracy from oppression or subjugation. President James Monroe enunciated the Monroe Doctrine with a clear vision of these duties in mind, that America be left to the Americans, that no further European empires attempt to subjugate our continent, at that time in support of Simon Bolivar and the recently-independent South American nations. Today, we can and must be the new torchbearers of this oath to future generations of Americans and to the promise of America. While we may have lost our way in the dying days of the United States of America, the Federal States of America cannot and will not make the same mistakes. You may ask yourself, dearest America, is Canada really America? Canadians do have distinct dialects, distinct history, distinct peculiarities. Well, so do Illinoisians, so do New Englanders, New Yorkers, Midwesterners, Californians. Are they not American? Of course they are. America is not one single culture, it is many united as one, a strong, untearable, irrepressible patchwork of independent and hardy folk with their own unique lifestyles and communities. One is not more American than the other whether this continent is your birthplace or your adopted home. It is your right. Today, Stephen Harper, that Benedict Arnold of the Canadian State, for lest we forget, Benedict Arnold was an aristocratic conservative blowhard as well, threatens the self-determination of Canadians, of our fellow countrymen, with years of subjugation to masters in the so-called Mother England. We, my fellow Federal citizens, cannot stand idly by and allow this any more than we could if New England or if Virginia was threatened with re-colonization under the hated redcoats of old. All Federal citizens must take this sacred duty to heart if we are to stand as one." President Benjamin Marshall went on to adopt and reaffirm his commitment to President Franklin Roosevelt's Good Neighbor Policy in an outreach to our South American counterparts which we share our continent with, "It is the foreign policy of our Great Nation, as it was before America's true course was derailed by the likes of honorless, egotistical Republicans like Richard Nixon, Joe McCarthy or Ronald Reagan, to be a good and faithful neighbor of the Pan-American community. To be the neighbor who resolutely respects himself and, because he does so, respects the rights of others. The policy of our true forefathers has been to help, not to hinder, to aid those that are struck down, not to impose tyranny upon them. This is why I reaffirm our commitment to these principles on the American continent and why these Federal States, under my command, have provided the most to relief efforts in Brazil. This, though, is not far enough. We, as faithful Americans, need to atone for losing sight of our way under Republican Administrations of the past. We need to show Latin Americans that we regard them as equals in more than just word. This is why I extend an offer of alliance and a partnership of cultural exchange and cultivation to the nations and peoples of South America. The culture of the American continent, my fellow citizens, is our culture too. This was true under the cultural exchanges of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and doubly true when President John F. Kennedy sought to protect South American nations from European subjugation. Indeed, President Monroe's Doctrine, a quintessential American document of foreign policy, was created with the defense of the new South American nations, unable to defend themselves on their own at the time, in mind to prevent any European empires from snatching them up. It's with this view in mind that I present the same commitment to Latin America, if their leaders and representatives were to accept a mutual protection pact. This Good Neighbor Policy, of course, applies to our fellow Americans throughout North America as well." ......... |

![]() Marines secure Hawaiian, Virgin Islands Marines conduct amphibious landings all across the Hawaiian Islands, including 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines Regiment at Kaneohe Bay (pictured above) Honolulu, Hawai'i Territory - Escalating colonialism in the Caribbean Sea has prompted residents of the former U.S. Virgin Islands and the former State of Hawaii to call on the Continental Armed Forces for protection. As more empires, including the British, the French and the Spanish, and mercenary companies such as G.C.I. take a stronger interest in occupying the Caribbean for labor and servitude, the Americans who inhabit the Virgin Islands, originally from our own States, have contacted the Federal States to occupy and reintegrate the islands into the Federation to send a clear message for empires to avoid. While the original protection zone was planned to be St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John and Water Island, the aircraft carrier F.S.S. Edward Moore Kennedy received distress calls from the former British Virgin Islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke due to dwindling resources as the British Empire has remained too preoccupied with re-colonizing Canada and Jamaica. The newly-created Virgin Islands Territory of the Federal States of America will undergo an integration program before becoming the State of the Virgin Islands. On the Hawaiian Islands, the residents, now that a Federal naval presence had arrived in the Pacific Ocean, sought the path to statehood once more with a return to the comforts, ammenities and services guaranteed by the Federation. While both a pro-Federal Republic of Hawai'i and a largely ineffectual pro-British Kingdom of Hawai'i had developed on the islands following the global collapse of nations, the Republic had long been an elected government and is thus seen as more legitimate voice of the Hawaiian people. The request for reannexation was made by plebiscite over all the Hawaiian Islands and was largely expected due to the large number of people who were born under the United States. Throughout the islands, Marine Regiments have made multiple amphibious landings to little or no hostility. On Oahu, the Marines were able to calmly walk through the streets of Honolulu while mingling with the locals. It is rumored that the Royal militia groups have retreated from the former Royal Palace and Governor's Mansion into the mountains and forests on Oahu to hold out against the Federal States Marines who will likely engage them in the following days. Air Groups composed of F-35s from the F.S.S. Chester Nimitz continue to patrol the airspace over the Hawaiian Islands and will be involved in mop-up operations of militia forces. |
