Have you written something creative that you want to show off? Unsure whether your school's assignement went well? Perhaps you have some poetry, or just any odd piece of writing on which you want comments on... well here is the place to post it. Create a topic and post whatever you have written, then wait patiently as our hidden army of press critics and writing aficionados raid the forum. Tips for the writer 1. When you post, try not to be negative So try to steer clear of "I think that's crap" and instead point more towards "What do you think?"2. Make sure that your work is ran through a spell check, as it makes its quality a lot higher 3. I can't think of a word limit, as I can't envision it, but say 3/4 Word Document, Arial size 12... It's better not to kill the reader or you won't get comments ![]() 4. Keep it neat, separate paragraphs with a gap of one line rather than this.... Tips for critic 1. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Mention good bits, how well they worked, and how the not so good bits can be improved. Be sensitive. 2. Preferably no scores out of 10 as it can be quite ... damaging? It might not, if it's good, or even if it's bad it might incite writer to do better. Still, better to be safe than sorry. 3. Friendly and unpatronizing attitude. Can't think of anything else |
