Drake woke up yawning, he wasn't sure how long he had slept, he couldn't honestly remember the last time he had slept. It felt like he had just woken up from a coma though, hibernation. He felt completely recharged. Drake sat up looking around letting his brain register where he was for the time being, he remembered that he was on a boat. With ghost, and a guy possessed by an angel. Looking to his side he saw Maria there, she seemed like she was out of it. He decided to let her sleep and got out of the bed, he walked out the little guest room.

Sareena: Awake finally?

Drake looked over Sareena was sitting on the couch, she had taken her sling off "How's your arm?" he asked her, she moved it a few times.

Sareena: Healed but still sore...won't be doing anything to crazy with it...

"Well at least you're feeling better..." he said nodding to her, Drake walked out on the deck and looked around. The ocean looked nice, though the sea air was getting to him a bit. He looked over seeing land not too far from there. Drake wondered how long they had been sailing, he wasn't even sure if Rhode was the one sailing the ship or if his ghost friends were. He never bothered to ask.

Voice: Knew you'd be here soon enough

Drake turned around someone landed on the ship. It was Alastor he cracked his neck walking over to Drake "You knew I would come back" Drake said to him "I told you I would when I finished up with Mephisto" He added. Alastor smirked at him.

Alastor: Yeah I know...glad you did though, just had to put out a fire involving one of the Samael's generals. If we're going to attack Baal, now would be the time

"Fine, seems like you have a plan. Lets here it" Drake said to him.

“Don’t worry I’ll come with you so you don’t get eaten by Crocodiles,” laughed Rin as started on a second steak since no one seemed to be going for any more. “If it’s all the same to you Adrian I think that is how Uriel kisses people, knocking them on the back of the head that is.”

“Joking aside thanks again,” said Rin before looking over to Anthony. “See you won’t be alone Drake will be coming too.”

Ziken smirked at the reference of physically calling him on a phone. He didn’t work like that most of the time, nor would he probably any time soon. He walked up to Alastor and drew the mark holding it out for a second so he could get a good look.

Ziken: In a manner of speaking… Just draw my sign on the ground or a wall and I’ll be there shortly, of that you can count on. Just remember I won’t be there instantly like in the movies these mortals watch.

With that Ziken nodded to Alastor, and the paper burnt up in his hand. It had been awhile since he had given out his sign, it was one of his weaknesses that he was able to be called to a specific area though not necessarily a specific spot.

Tren watched Ziken leave and was thinking over what had been said. Drake had already found Maria a replacement so he didn’t have to worry about looking around for that. “Thanks anyways John, looks like they found a replacement already though,” said Tren as he scratched the back of his head. “Oh and thanks for helping out in the battle too.”

Around this time Yang had quietly as a whisper walked up to them with two objects behind his back. He pulled the objects forward showing the newest Halo game that looks fairly similar to John’s armor. Tren almost face palmed finally realizing why Yang was quiet. He must think John is a celebrity or something. The second object was a black marker to right with.

“Sign Please?” asked Yang a bit unsure of himself. Tren grinned to himself walking away over to the main discussion. He counted mentally that they currently had three people going under the sewer to sneak in and figured he would offer to help down below as well.

“I guess I’ll go into the sewer with you guys as well, I figure most people can handle themselves on the outside just draw out the engagement and no heroics,” said Tren. He knew some of the toughest opponents might be on the inside of Ba’als fortresses. Anthony hadn’t been able to stop Drake’s rampage before so having extra help just in case would be a good idea though he was glad that the blade was far away from Drake. They would have to worry about Rin however, he didn’t know how she put up with that blade so easily.

Rin patted Anthony’s thigh for a moment before standing up and walking towards the upper level of the mansion. She had seen her brother signal her for what she assumed was a private conversation. She moved upstairs and down the hallway to the last door open in the back. It lead to some sort of sitting room with paintings of many different things on the walls and comfy seats. Yahiko was leaning against one of the far ones with his arms crossed. Upon seeing her he stood up straight unfolding his arms.

Yahiko: (Got a lead on a Muramasa blade in Europe. Think I have enough energy left today to get us over there swiftly.)

Rin frowned. She was torn, on one hand it was great that they may have found another Muramasa Blade and she knew it was one step towards facing the chains she had strapped herself with. Once she destroyed them all she would be free to do what she wanted. What she wanted…. she had never thought like that before. Destroying the blades had always been the end game for her, why the sudden change?

(I already promised to help them with Ba’al, with Anthony and the others,) said Rin a bit hesitantly. She could see the displeasure written on Yahiko’s face almost as soon as she said it. He walked over to the window looking out to the distance.

Yahiko: (There isn’t that much time to pass this up, the blade could slip away and you want to sit here and play hero. I get it.)

Rin’s frown grew. (Taking out the Primes is just as important as finding the Muramasa blades, Brother,) said Rin trying to reason with him. Perhaps he could go and she could catch up with him. (I’ll be able to follow you shortly after or when you can check back with me.)

Yahiko: (It seems you still don’t get it, the Primes don’t matter. They’ve never mattered, you kill them off they go back to hell. Whoopty fucking do. They came from there in the first place and you just sent them back home. They’ll come and visit for vacation in the years to come.Primes are Eternal.)

(Banishing gives us more time to look for the blades, and once we send most of them back we’ll have help looking for these blades, we need patience,)
said Rin walking over to her brother putting a hand on his shoulder. He rebuffed her touch turning towards her.

Yahiko: (I’ve had it with patience sister. I’ve waited four hundred years hunting these damn blades and I’ll not wait a second more than I have to. You hear the blade don’t you? It wants to be found. It screams to kill the others, how long can you stand that? I’ve seen your friends cover the blades influence but for how long will that last before you hurt one of them? Kill one of them? I’ve already played this song and dance. Don’t lecture me of patience.)

Rin brought her hand back to herself. She did indeed feel the blades presence even though Uriel’s blessing. At first it had blocked out most of the blade, but it was patient and found ways around it, or through it. After the last Muramasa blade had gotten destroyed it had become even more intense than before. She was used to that though, however whenever her blood touched the blade it became a different story.

(I’m staying Yahiko,) said Rin firmly coming to a decision. (But, I’ve not given up on finding the blades.)

Yahiko laughed into the air cruelly shaking his head.

Yahiko: (Do you understand why he made these blades? Muramasa’s ultimate goal. Don’t you see, he wanted to create a blade to destroy the Primes, but he had to make sure whoever came to use it could use it well enough to destroy them forever so he split it in order to hold an impromptu tournament. When I kill the other blade you’ll know and just remember that means we’re one step closer to fighting each other.)

(I won’t fight you Yahiko, if we are the last ones I won’t fight you,) said Rin. He’s been at this a long time, and its weighing on him. My little brother, what has Muramasa put you through? Was what I had just a taste of what he did to you? I’m sorry….

Yahiko: (If that is the case then you should just give me your blade now and be done with it.)

Rin drew her blade out without another word and held Muramasa sideways. Her face was grim and determined. You want it over and I can sympathize with that, but you’re wrong thinking the blade’s destruction will bring you any solace, brother.

(Take it, but your goal is still far off and when we meet again I will help you find the rest, and destroy them.) Rin watched as Yahiko’s face went from surprised, to suspicious to down right angry.

Yahiko: (So be it, I told Muramasa you were a horrible match with the blades and this only prove it. I’ll kill him before the end, and then the Primes, and then finally humans can be at rest.)

Yahiko’s blade slashed up and then down slashing cleanly through Rin’s Muramasa blade, it fell in half and then shattered into nothing. Yahiko looked at Rin as if he was searching for what was in her eyes. Don’t let it eat the rest of you… In time I hope you come to understand that there is more to life than just the blades. I’ve recently discovered this, but there is no one for you. No one but me, so I’ll be there for you when I can.

Yahiko: (Don’t die fighting Ba’al. It would be a pity if you didn’t live to see me accomplish what you failed to do.)

With that he turned opening a red rift that Rin could only guess lead to Europe. It shut behind him and she stood in the room looking at the spot that he had disappeared into for a good minute wondering if what she had done was the right thing. Would he be ok by himself? But the choice was made and she couldn’t take it back now.

Just as quickly as he went into the room, he was ushered out, along with Drake, and had the door shut on them. The voices on the other side of the door told him that Maria was awake..

Well, I guess we will just let them be then.

He looked over at the shorter man, bouncing his helmet in his hand, and left for the living room. Scratch that, he went for the kitchen, getting himself a steak. He would have normally eaten more, on account of his body, but this would be fine. He took it back to the living room with everyone else, grabbed a nice piece of floor, and started eating. It was harder than usual because of his armor, but he made due, until he could drop it and find some clothes that would actually fit him. He was a little larger than everyone else, and didn't exactly pack an overnight bag. He looked at Tren as he was addressed again.

No problem. I'm a soldier, so its what I do.

Drake managed to get a new sniper rifle from Alastor, which would keep Maria happy. He watched this exchange with sharp eyes, not trusting the demonic weapon. He would keep his eye on it for now. When some people started to devise the plan to attack Baal's place. He knew how it would end, but said nothing. At least he thought he did, if he remembered his history.

He had just finished eating when the shy man, Yang, slowly made his way towards him. He had his hands behind his back, hiding something until he got near. When he showed his hands, he couldn't help but laugh, as the other man held out a game and marker. He must have thought that John was some sort of celebrate or super hero.

He took them, still really blown away, and looked at the game. It was called Halo, and it had some armored dude who looked quite a bit like him. Halo was it? Wow... he knew nothing about this stuff.

Um...

He had no idea what to sign on it. Lets see... thinking about it for a moment. He uncapped the pen, and wrote down some words on it.

Become a Hero. John.

Here you go. That was my first, and very weird...

Good enough. Hopefully this kid wouldn't be too disappointed. John felt extremely awkward now.

Adrian laughed at what Rin said before looking around at everyone who was volunteering to go in Baal's castle, who were being volunteered and he just scratched his head. He sighed heavily.

Adrian: You guys, have any of you ever heard of the phrase suicide mission? Cause that's what this is you know

Uriel: Calm down

Adrain: Calm down, I'm the only one here without powers, I'm not enhanced, I'm not possessed by an angel or was given angelic power I'm not for all intents and purposes the son of satan I'm a normal guy with a knife. And that can cook good. And...

"And that knows his way around military grade equipment" Anthony interrupted "Listen Adrain, no Pennywise, no one is asking you jump head on into this shit. Rhode is right, this place is the perfect base, but its vulnerable. How about you get to making sure its invulnerable and we'll handle the demons" Anthony said to him, Adrian looked around before going in his coat and pulling out his mask. He put it on.

Pennywise: Show me the armory please

Alastor pointed towards a door that led to it, Pennywise stood up and went to it.

Alastor: Okay THAT was weird

Anthony smirked "You don't know the half of it." He looked at Rin when she got up to leave and smiled at her. Drake looked at Rhode "You're right though we could turn this place into a fortress. Alastor any other weapons or vehicles we should know about?" He asked him Alastor shrugged.

Alastor: There's about 3 tanks out back, honestly I say this dude was a drug lord but he may have been a dictator of some type. Now Drake if you don't mind come with me so I can get you armed...

Alastor walked out the room with Drake following. Anthony pointed at Alastor then pointed to the back of the house "Did he just say there were tanks out back?" he asked Uriel looked at him for a moment.

Uriel: No Anthony, I know what you're thinking and the answer is no

"We should race them!" Anthony said standing up with a stupid smile on his face. Uriel sighed heavily face palming.

___

Drake followed Alastor to the back of the mansion to a library lots of books, most of which off the shelves "Do a lot of reading?" Drake asked looking at some of the titles. "Breaking Dawn?" Drake asked him. Alastor snatched the book from him.

Alastor: It was the guy who owned the house before me, I was ummm burning the books. Yeah burning them.

"If you say so" Drake said Alastor shook his head cursing Drake under his breath. "What are we doing back here?" Drake asked Alastor who smirked and pulled out the dagger that the demon had given Drake. He tossed it to Drake who caught it. "Thanks" Drake said.

Alastor: Yeah when I saw that dagger, I realized something. It was part of a set, but I guess it never crossed your mind either...

Alastor pointed up at a weapon on the mantle that looked much like the dagger. Drake's eyes widened "The...the Old Man's sword. I thought the guild confiscated it, how did you get it?" Drake asked turning around to Alastor.

Alastor: Well when you plowed your way through the Guild base, I raided it afterwards, found this thing. It felt...different than our father's sword. I guess its more...well more in tune for your human side. Go ahead and take it...

Drake grabbed the sword his demon arm started to glow, but not like before this time it felt different. This time it felt warm and safe, like his grand father was standing right there with him. Drake looked at the sword nodding at it.

Yang smiled wide when his video game was signed and then speed off to the in house movie theater he had wandered into earlier to hook up a gaming system so he could play it on the big screen. It wasn't long before loud halo sounds were coming down a particular hallway.

Rin walked through the hallway towards the stairs and felt lighter. Not just because of the physical absence of her blade but also the lacking of a presence. She soon came down the stairs as Adrian was wearing his mask and setting about some task or another. She looked at him with a slightly raised eye brow but moved back to the couches. She jumped over the back of it and landed in a sitting position with a bounce.

"What should we be racing?" she asked a bit confused as to what Anthony was talking about, and Uriel seemed to be thinking it was a bad idea. She smirked a half smile knowing it was probably something ridiculous.

"Racing tanks, can't say that wouldn't be every little boys dream," said Tren cracking open a bottle of coke. "I think we have more pressing things than just that Anthony. Though now that that Uriel's back with us, didn't she say there was going to be a test to be in the hell guard? Not that you haven't been busy but should I be expecting that any time soon?"

Tren took a drink from his coke almost downing the whole thing in one go before looking at who was left around. "We haven't heard much on the subject from you on Samael either, any heads up we should know since he's a potential enemy of ours?"

Wait... what was that? Adrian just became someone else? The man put on a mask and seemed to become someone else. He cocked an eyebrow, but still finished his food. He rose to his feet, heading to the kitchen to let the people talk about... whatever they were doing.

He put his plate in the sink, and got himself a glass of water... and second. and third... He was thirsty, what could he say. We went back into the living room, and there was mentioning of racing tanks. He chuckled at this. Racing those were fun, but he seen by going through museums that they were much too small in these times to be able to fit him out of his armor, nevertheless in it.

Rin bounded down the hallway, giddy at something or other. He shook his head, a smile on his face. Well, it seemed like people were loosening up. That was good in a time of war. He was still silent about the tanks, and the subject of Samael. They didn't need his knowledge on him, and would never get it.

Well you people have fun with racing tanks around. This mission shouldn't be a suicide mission if all goes off well.

“whoa wait what? We have tanks? As in armored vehicles with huge guns? Why are we worried about this Ba’al guy again?” Rhode asked. He hadn’t spotted any tanks. “With tanks why can’t we just roll up on Ba’al’s fortress and shell it into dust?”

If it were that simple, why did the mortals lose the great war?

“Fair point, but Ba’al isn’t expecting a bunch of mortals, some half demons, one of his own generals and an eight foot tall whatever the hell this guy is *points to John* to roll up on his house with some tanks.”

Rhode shrugged. “Just saying. Question, how far away is Ba’al pad from this place?”

Uriel sighed heavily again as everyone talked about racing tanks.

Uriel: We're not racing the tanks, no one listen to Anthony. He's not in charge here...

Anthony laughed "She's right, we'll race tanks when we get back!" he said, he sat down and looked at Rin "Tanks we're racing tanks..." he said smirking about this. Uriel looked over at Rhode again sighing about Anthony.

Uriel: Az is right. The tanks will be helpful in bringing down his stronghold, but killing the demon himself, may require a little more than human weapons.

"Then why don't we...well you power up the tanks some with your energy?" he asked her. Uriel turned to Anthony.

Uriel: Anthony that is...actually a really good idea. You've finished your test as far as I am concerned Tren. You are an agent of the Hell guard as well.

When he asked about Samael Uriel crossed her arms and lowered her head.

Uriel: He was an arch angel...one of the strongest just next in power only to Michael and Tyrael. But there was something more with him, he was a warrior angel the aspect of war to us. He was supposed to fight for humanity, but when he became twisted along the way only saught to destroy the demons. This is the reason he ventured into hell, took their powers to use against them. He was thrown out of the hell guard and fell, we thought we'd never hear from him again.

"Oh man...that means he has his angelic power and demonic power...how strong did he become when he absorbed the power of hell?" Anthony asked her.

Uriel: Strong enough to face 6 of the Hell Guard including Michael and nearly beat us. He left under his own accord, we never actually defeated him in combat.

Alastor and Drake walked back up front Alastor hearing Rhode's question about the location of Baal's stronghold.

Alastor: Its about a half a day ride from here. I would suggest we teleport whoever is going into the stronghold that way the tanks can focus solely on fighting. According to my scouts several of Samael's squads are moving towards the stronghold. Thanks to the base you guy's exploded.

Drake was examining his new sword listening to what Alastor was saying about Baal's stronghold. "Then we leave tomorrow morning" Drake said to them "That'll give us time to let both sides weaken themselves for our attack. Myself, Anthony, Tren, Sareena and Rhode will go in" he said he looked at John "You're a soldier right, you might be better served commanding our outside team. Rin, Yang, Maria, Uriel...unless anyone have any objections to that plan?" Drake asked them. Alastor smirked at this.

Alastor: Good plan, I'll leave earlier to lead my men. I will try to get Abaddon to attack further out so that he'll be out of the way for you guys. Check the armory I have human weapons, demon weapons and a few angelic weapons. Take what you need...

"A holy man pushing redemption huh?" said Tren slightly bemused at the sentence. "You said he was an Arch Angel, and didn't we say the Horsemen were serving him? Why is Death working for an underling? Oh that's right he's a son of a bitch that's why."

Tren waved the subject off deciding not to discuss it. Their last encounter with him only pissed him off more. If they were attacking tomorrow he was going to get some training in this evening then. Most likely it wouldn't matter much but at least it would allow him to stretch his muscles a bit hopefully keeping them loose for tomorrow.

Rin nodded to the plan, she had planed to be in the group of five but with the loss of her blade it probably wasn't the best place for her at all. She now only had her wards, stronger then average human strength, and the demonic bow she had shot once. She might have to test it out a few more times to get the aiming of it down, but most of her night would be left for drawing small wards and stockpiling them to be of any use in the fight.

She saw a deck of cards on the table and then had an idea. They were excellent for throwing at least according to the new knowledge Uriel's English boon had given her, and she could draw wards upon the cards. It might be an optimal replacement for her now running thin paper, and ink. She hadn't ever tried her wards on anything but walls, Rhode's boat, and scroll paper. While still listening she started to pick up the deck and draw her Japanese wards upon them hoping that they would still infuse with what normal effects they had.

When Alastor mentioned that he had a few spare demonic, and angelic weapons left over in this drug lord's mansion she perked up for a second. "I'll have to take a look a bit later in there then, I'm not sure there would really be anything in there that I'd prefer to use though something is better than nothing," said Rin shifting as she continued to draw.

"I'm set with my sword, and gun no need for anything else but thank you Alastor for the offer," said Tren trusting his own equipment to see him through. Though he did note an oddity, Rin had an empty sheath on her back, and the blade was missing. For now he decided not to ask but it worried him that she had let it out of her sight. "If anyone needs me I'll be outside working on not destroying any more of Master Alastor's building while training. Master Alastor, man try saying that five times fast."

As he moved outside he nodded to Drake saying he was good with the plan before moving out the front door. It was finally good to actually use a door today. Rin stopped drawing for a second and looked at Anthony. "Is it me or is White Hair singularly determined when it comes to fighting demons? I've seem him fight, in the last battle. He fights like he doesn't care for his life, like it's already used up." said Rin making an observation.

Drake looked at Tren he was right they should get some training. Drake wasn't used to his grand father's sword the Hell Slayer. He also wasn't used to the dagger, Drake turned to Alastor "Hey, think you can run some sparring with me? I want to get used to these weapons before tomorrow" Drake said to him, Alastor nodded to him.

Alastor: Of course...meet me outside

Alastor started to head out Uriel turned to Tren.

Uriel: He has the power of a Hell guard and possibly power that rivals even the primes. If he figured out how to use the powers in tangent with one another. He would be stronger than a throne, that is the reason Death possibly bows to him.

Drake headed up stairs, Anthony turned to Rin, he noticed she wasn't wearing her sword anymore. And she was writing up wards on cards at that. "Where's your sword...and your brother?" Anthony asked her, when she bought up Tren he looked at the man as he walked out the house. "Possibly? But that's up to him to decide, if he finds something worth actually fighting for. Then he'll fight like he wants to live" Anthony said leaning back and putting his arm around Rin. He smirked at her playfully "Wanna head to the armory and get you a new sword?" he asked her.

___

Drake walked upstairs and went to Maria's room. He opened the door Sareena was still sitting next to the bed Maria was sleep now her wounds looked better. Drake walked over to her and kissed her cheek "Got you a gift Maria, I hope you like it" he said to her putting the gun next to the bed. Maria's eyes opened and looked at the gun she smiled "I love it" she said to him going back to sleep.

Sareena: Told you she'd love it

Drake smirked at Sareena and smiled at Maria before going back downstairs. He went outside Alastor was there waiting for him.

Alastor: Master Alastor, Master Alastor, Master Alastor, Malster Laster...damn it

"What the hell are you doing?" Drake asked him, Alastor turned to him laughing. Drake sighed and backed up some.

Alastor: Nothing much, shall we get started?

"Of course" Drake said pulling out his sword holding it with both hands. Alastor smirked not pulling out any weapon. He motioned for Drake to come at him, Drake ran at Alastor and swung his sword several times, Alastor laughed dodging the attacks with relative ease.

Alastor: Not good enough Drake!

Alastor held out his hand and stopped the sword and punched Drake back. Drake tumbled back several times before stabbing his sword in the ground sliding back stopping himself.

“Ok, since planning is done apparently, i’ll head down to the armory to clean Starshatter and take inventory if anyone needs a particular weapon, let me know.” Rhode said.

He got up and headed for the basement but passed by Rin and noticed her drawing her wards on a deck of playing cards. He passed by her then had a thought. He spun on his heel and sat down with Rin. “Hey Rin. got a question for you. I’ve used that ward you drew on my boat a little bit. Put it in my car, stuff like that. I was wondering, what if i carved them into bullets? I mean, i’m not sure what good that ward on my boat would do, but i’m sure you know more than just that one right? If i carved one into a bullet and shot it at someone, you think it’d do any good?”

Perhaps mixing in a bit of mortal magic is a good idea. Give it the trifecta.

“Also, i have a compound bow and some arrows in the trunk of my car. They’re your’s if you want them. Picked them up in florida. I was going to maybe do something with it but upon thinking about it i decided id just stick with firearms.” He added. “Whadya say? You used a demon sword for a while, maybe try giving some mortal ingenuity a shot.”
