David continued walking, still unaware that he had moved miles away from where he had teleported into the deep desert. His wanderings drew the attention of a cluster of men with rifles. They watched the lonely david from a distance, their rifles trained on the intruder into their lands. "Should we shoot first?" One of the desert men asked. "Mah'ak would capture him for interrogation first." Another said. "Mah'al isn't here. Plus, there isn't a Stiech near by we can take him. we'd have to carry him over open desert at least 20 miles to Stiech Kan." The first one rebutted. A third one looked up from his binoculars and addressed the argument. "We can interrogate him here. Surround him, incapacitate him and then learn his objectives in our lands. If he is honorable, we can let him walk out. If he is not, we kill him." The other two looked at each other before looking back at the third. They all nodded in agreement and scrambled from their hiding place. |
