(OOC PM me with any issues you have so that we avoid OOC clutter in this topic.) "Do we avoid war? Or do we take this time to strike?" questioned General Petrious. To his sides were the heads of the Navy and Airforce, he being the head of the Army. In front of him was the Sun King, pondering what course of action to take his nation. To his sides, the Advisor of Defense and Advisor of Foreign Affairs were trembling. "They only have 50,000 men at the border, we have 200,000. We have control of the rivers, they do not" stated the Army General. The room seemed 120 degrees, even though it was heavily airconditioned. Three fans swirled atop them to draw away more heat. What would the Sun King do? Would he take this opportunity to strike or would he resort to more diplomacy? It was the toughest position he could be in. His Generals were all urging for war, while his advisers were uring for more diplomacy. Quiet...Silence... "Are our men already stationed at the border?" questioned the Sun King "Are the being accompanied by tanks and artiller?" The General replied with a simple positive nod to both questions. "Squadron General Ryhad, is the airforce ready to strike?" The General noted that they had been ready for weeks they had been on standby and that it would only take 20 minutes for a bombing mission to go across the border. "Admiral is the navy prepared to defend the Arabian Sea should anything happen?" The admiral stated the same response the other two had. The two advisers now became red, their hands trembling ferociously. "Then start the offensive!" stated the Sun King, entrenching his nation into a war that would last for quite some time.
The Tet Offensive - Green Lines are the 6 different Offensives - Black Lines are 20,000 troops and 20,000 regular border guards defending the border - Purple Line in the north is navy setting up defensive positions along Eyyguian Waters - Red Lines are Eyyguian bomber/fighter paths It seemed as though the whole airforce had taken off. 25 B-52 Stratofortresses, accompanied by 50 Panavia Tornados, two fighters for each bomber. Quickly the departed the dry desert landscape surrounding the gigantic airforce runways. Control towers were stocked filled with people yelling orders into earpieces. Their mission was to take out enemy artillery positions setting up behind the enemy infantry. It would be a mere 20 minutes before they reached the border and began to pummel the enemy. They crossed the border at maximum altitutde to try and avoid any enemy anti-air gun fire. However once they did, they began to descend to bombing range. Tons and tons of bombs decsended on enemy artillery and infantry alike, causing a whirlwind of heat, which added to the already smouldering summer day. Each river force is to be seperated into two, one venturing north, the other south. The Yemen River Offensive began first. 60,000 troops on the sides of the river began to venture forward to the border and firght the enemy force. The same happened with the Zanlu and Denali River Offensives. Each side accompanied by a combination of 5 Challenger Tanks, 5 Scitimar Tanks, 5 Sultan Tanks, 5 Spartan Tanks and 5 Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicles. This mobilization would ensure maximum flexibilty. A ferocious fire-battle ensued when they reached the border, they hoped that all of the artillery would have been taken out by the airforce, but that may not have been the case. Behind the infantry, 10 AS-90 Self-propelled guns, at all 6 offensives, traveled at walking speed along the rough roads leading into Akseom. Once they were in range of enemy troops, the 4 men operating the guns began to launch a massive volley. In addition, a second series of bombers departed. Another 25 Stratofortresses, 25 F-22 Raptors, and 25 Panavia Tornados departed airbases deeper in Eyyguian territory. Their mission was to destroy any airbases close to the rivers, or the border. Eyyguian generals had hoped that this offensive would halt any effective enemy counter-strike. In addition the Eyyguian Sun King made a public statement. "I, on behalf of all the people of Eyygui, declare war on the Democratic Republic of Akseom. Their nation has provided guns, ammunition, and bombs to terrorists and paid them to target the dam being built on the Denali River. In addition they have mobilized troops along the border. We will allow Akseom's embassy in Darlassam to continue to operate and will not sieze any property belonging to firms or people operating out of Akseom. We hope that even in times of war, our enemy will show the same courtesy." Edited by Eyygui, 21st July 2008 - 12:16 PM.

With the news of the Eyyguian offensive, the Republic began seeking the proper intelligence on the affair. From any standpoint, it seemed that the Eyyguians were handling the invasion quite well, and the Lateral Republic would need not intervene. Nevertheless, a message was sent to Eyygui:

President Danew sat in his weekly meeting with Emporer Singleton. The old Emporer was reveiwing a status report on the Economy of the Country. The door burst open and in came an important advisor who handed the Emporer a slip of paper. Emporer Singleton read the paper and nodded. His eyes darkend and a crazed grin came to his face. Danew hated these moments. He was one of the few that ever saw the Emporer in this state. "It seems our new Allies have declared war on Akseom, Mr. President." The Emporer said in his deep, raspy voice. "We knew it was bound to happen your majesty." Danew said. "Yes. Now I want you to honor our promise. Ask them how we can be of assistance. You know of our goals. Now go." The Emporer said with a familliar twinkle in his eyes. "Yes... yes sir." Sinan Danew said. He quickly got up and went to follow those orders. He was happy to leave the Emporer. While Emporer Andrew Singleton was normally a great, kind man, at certain times... he could get rather creepy, sometimes sinister. An Hour Later the following message was sent to The Eyyguian government.

Admittedly, the engagement with the Eyyguians could have been a lot better, but Kimbwe had learnt the Eyyguians to think him a fool, that he would leave his Artillery unprotected against an Air Assault, the Eyyguian fighter/bomber attack had been slowed by the response of the Aksoem SAMs, but at least now Aksoem knew they were at war, Eyygui would be learning that warfare in this continent is a lot different to the skirmishes of their nation, this wasn't to say that the Aksoemites were any less capable than the Eyyguians, but there were more of them, each one lacking a certain morale crystallity that made up the so called civilised Eyyguians. In comparrison to an Eyyguian strike, which would often take hours to ready, the Aksoemites could pick up and be on their way in minutes, the first foray into Eyygui was made by boys aged around 12-16, armed with a cellphone, a bicycle and rudimentary tent, they'd find their way close to an enemy Airfield, then report on what the enemy has to launch today, a rudimentary but effective form of counter defense, it had been kept somewhat quiet that this tactic usually led to a lot of weeping angry mothers. To add to the boosting defences, a few hundred Radar Vans had been picked up, if anything was going to be sent long range to the Tet Defenders then Kibwe would know about it, the region of Tetwane was slowly filling with Soldiers, in addition to the Fiftythousand already placed, another two hundred thousand were on their way, along with T-54's, Mil Mi's and Hilux's, Aksoem was going overboard for this war. (Note: Considering the loose formation and unfixed positions of the Aksoem Soldiers, casualties were light, between 1,500 and 2,000 Soldiers were hit, either being injured or killed) Edited by Aksoem, 24th July 2008 - 06:33 PM.

"The bastards are already forming up, and fast" stated General Petrious "Have our men on the Denail hold their positions, the river is about to be sucked dry." Immediatly the dam was almost completly closed, allowing enough water to pass by so that it did not crack under pressure. Still virtually no water was passing through to Akseom, the river would be drying up in a matter of days. The dam was also outfitted with incredibly anti-air defense. A nearby base provided 24 hour radar coverage while SAMs and other anti-air weaponry were placed around the dam. It had become almost a symbol to Eyyguians, the cause of the war and the bane of Akseom. On the offensive Eyyguain forces gained ground quickly. The mobility of the tanks and soldiers, combined with the lack of an actual defense propelled them across the border, ripping through the scattered initial force of 50,000. They had hoped to be in range of the enemy artillery soon. The advance was halted by a counter-offensive of hundreds of thousands of ill-equipped enemy. Eyyguian soldiers did not know how to handle this, most looked like civilians. "Open fire on everyone" shouted the commanders. Denali Offensive: This area was turning into a bitter wasteland. Most of the enemy defenders were there and thousands more came. However when the order was given to halt the advance, the Colonels questioned it, but obeyed. Rudimentary defensive positions were established on the hard ground next to the river. It was impossible to defend and attack through a desert. Yemen Offensive: Some of the more bitter fighting was done in the rich farmlands of Akseom. The Yemen or Central River, as many called it, contained fertile soil on both sides. How many beautiful farms had been destroyed so far by both forces. When the Eyyguian Army passed through a small farm border villiage, they noticed it was almost burned down the ground. They wondered who had done this. Zanlu Offensive: The northern-most offensive saw the fastest movement and least fighting. From the sky it seemed the Eyyguians were forming a wave, the Zanlu offensive as its head. The initial Eyyguian airstrike destroyed virtually half of the SAMs and artillery. However as enemy fighters came within range, the situation became more difficult. A war in the clouds began when Eyyguian fighters and enemy fighters met. Through the clouds they raced, the faster, heavier armed and more manuverable Eyyguian fighters made quick work of the enemy fighters. Yet the price of victory was bitter. Almost half of the initial strike was destroyed by enemy fighters and SAMs. Those that headed back to the border bases noticed serval children near the airbase and waved to them, giving a thumbs up. Many of their visors were damaged so they did not noticed their color or that they were vile rats from Akseom there to spy. Additionally the rest of the military began mobilization, another 200,000 men. (OOC Put your little rats to work )SIC "Send a small bomber squadron to a nearby enemy airbase, raise it to the ground before it harrasses more of our soldiers. Sources indicate that this is where most enemy fighters, that were shot down in the initial offensive, are being kept." A force of 2 bombers and 4 Raptors was sent to bomb the airbase. Once again a fighter noticed the kids around the base and waved at them, thinking they were allies. |

(OOC: I love my Rats, and they love me :P) Tetwane Counter Offensive: -Denali River The small gerrison of fiftythousand men was being slowly relieved by the reinforcements, but fighting was still thick enough to cause morale issues, reports were coming in that retreating Regiments were being robbed by friendly reinforcements for their ammunition and weapons, lest they never be used, as the Denali River closed up, water became an issue for the beleagured men, logistics were still arriving in thin drabs at this point. Fortunantly this had not siezed up the army enough not to notice the visible halt in the enemy lines, they could not be given the opportunity to regroup, a nearby Mortar Regiment had been reassigned to keep them pinned down, whilst a surviving Artillery Regiment began to get into position, ready to wipe them out piecemeal. Tetwane Counter Offensive -Yemen The land was flat out here, nice and smooth, still quite rugged, but nothing that the caterpillar tracks of the T-54 could not handle, it was almost elegant to watc h the two Tank Regiments sweep over the fields, it had been a good many years since Aksoem had last been able to flex its armoured muscles, the varying landscape and jungles of Sendria making Armour an impossibility. Despite the beautiful conditions, they seemed to be working more in favour of the advanced Eyyguians, getting in range was the biggest problem, with the Challenger Tank able to pick out the ancient T-54 from miles away, this had become more a war of communication for the Aksoemites, with one Unit distracting the Challengers, and another hoping to outflank them, the Aksoemites had enough numbers to pull this off, but it would not work for very long before the Eyyguians changed tactic. Tetwane Counter Offensive -Zanlu The Aksoemites were trying hard to win this war for air superiority, knowing it would effect the way the rest of the war went, already a request had been put in for more SAM's and Migs, but who knew when they would arrive, the pilots in the air only knew they'd need to have the enemy too weary to fight the next wave. Calls for reinforcements have put the numbers on the Aksoem Border to 450,000 Men (Not Including Logistics) |

Reinforcements were already being sent to the front. Denali Offensive The forces had come to a halt only to be pummeled by enemy mortars. Luckily the Eyyguian artillery was quick on hand with mobility and more range than the mortars. As soon as enemy positions were spotted they were pummeled by artillery. Bombs and bombs fell upon the scorching earth as the soldiers began to realize that the Denail River was shrinking fast. The lack of Akseomite armor vehicles in the Denali river prompted the Eyyguians to form a counter-strike with the little armor they had. 5 Challengers and 5 faster Scitimar tanks, supported by a column of infantry poured towrads the enemy line. Eyyguian artillery fired, then moved southward, fired, then moved again, hoping to keep a fix on the enemies lines. Casualties: 1,200 infantry Reinforcements: 70,000 infantry, 40 Scitimar Tanks Yemen Offensive This offensive saw much more mobility than the Denali Offensive. The faster, heavily armored and heavily armed Challenger tanks proved to be a surprising counter-measure to the horrible yet cheap enemy tanks. Wave after wave was repelled until the enemy began to use more clever methods of attack. The left part of the line (your right) was getting out-flanked by the enemy tanks. The generals quickly ordered men from the third and fourth lines to move up to first and second lines. While no more tanks were able to be called upon, these infantrymen came prepared to handle the weak T-54s. They began firing anti-tank weaponry at the enemy's ammunition hulls, hopefully breaking through their weak armor and exploding the whole tank on contact. Enormous infantry casualties were incurred with this offensive, the Generals hoped that the enemy had suffered more. Eyyguian artillery kept pounding enemy artillery, hoping to take them out. They Eyyguian (gargh forgot the name of my artillery) had more range than the enemy artillery and was able to carry this out, yet slowly. The offense was gradually slowed because of the immense enemy numbers. Casualties: 6,700 infantry, 1 Scitimar Tank, 1 Challenger 2 Tank Reinforcements: 100,000 Infantry, 100 Challenger 2 Tanks Zanlu Offensive: The offense began to get weary of enemy air assults. Quickly SAMs were moved to the front lines and F-22s were called to fight enemy Migs and other inferior enemy crafts that would come. As F-22s departed, more and more pilots began to see the kids. Strangly they had a darker skin tone than the Eyyguians and they had set up tents. It was rather strange to the pilots. Regardless they proceded to attack the enemy, not venturing into their SAM sites. Casualties: 1,300 infantry Reinforcements: 20,000 infantry, 30 F-22 Raptors |

Tetwane Counter Offensive: -Denali River For such a small garrison, the Denali soldiers were putting up stiff resistence, though the enemy were not being pushed back, they were finding it at least difficult, oddly enough the Eyyguians had opted to send in the Armour, despite the soft marshy ground of the shrinking river bed, despite the lack of cover several units had been formed up with anti tank RPG's, some of whom were dragged off to the Yemen theatre, considering the disproportionate amount of Armour in each Region. A great boost to Morale came when the Aksoem Artillery, a little slowed, began to open on the Eyyguian formation, moving in from the East and firing upon the flanks of the Eyyguian mass, once word reached the outer retreating positions, a second surge of Aksoemites began, focused in the center of the Eyyguian column and directed against their large infantry units. Tetwane Counter Offensive -Yemen Having now heated to an epic tank battle, which for the most part the Aksoemites were losing, much attention had been attracted to it in the deployment of reinforcements, the merciful Generals had decided that the deployment of T-72's should be in Yemen, instead of the Denali River which was seeing less armour engagments, the reinforcements however, would not arrive for some time, the heroic and valiant T-54's would have to cope for now. Having ditched any extra weight, the odds for sucess were slightly increased, the Aksoemites now much more fighting a guerilla war, taking enemy tanks into makeshift traps, and blocking off roads with burnt out hulks of dead T-54's, crude defensive positions had been built in certain places, just to prevent further infantry advances. The addition of RPG soldiers from the Denali was added to the advantages which now made Aksoem somewhat equal, the small formations had split up across the region, sent on seek and destroy missions, hunting down enemy Tanks and getting off a few blasts before dissapearing into the fertile plains. Tetwane Counter Offensive -Zanlu The F22's were pulling the Aksoem fighters backwards, further over Eyygui, and closer to their SAM's, before the Eyyguians had a chance to spring their trap, the Air Marshall called back a few squadrons, and left the others to patrol Aksoem airspace, with conflict having died down, the Aksoemites took the opportunity to call in as many SAM trucks as could be found, and whatever Mikoyans were lying around, it was safe to claim the Eyyguians were winning, but the fight had not left the Aksoemites, the Drebimbe "Spooks" Squad had been called in, knowing the position of enemy Airbases and SAM's, they could now properly organise some sabotage missions. "Them and their bastard artillery, blast them!" cried out General Petrious, clearly frustrated that the war had gone from glorious manuver and fighting to a hodgepodge of elementary tricks the Akseomites were playing. "Bring in the EA-68, I want every flying mission to bring at lest 3 of them to jam the enemies SAM radars. From then on we launch bombing sprees all over and we control the air. We will show these tribal bastards that it takes more than glue and mines to win a war. On all three fronts, every single bomber and fighter in the airforce was called upon. Bombers were evenly divided on all three fronts, but fighters were mostly deployed to the northern front, where most of the enemy fighters seemed to be concentrating. Each party brought with them 3 EA-68s, which flew up higher than the rest, guarded by 2 F-22s on both sides. The rest of the fighters would bomb the hell out of enemy SAMs and artillery, as well as the occasional camp of infantry. "And why the hell do these bastards know where our planes are headed? They have fighters on all positions. I smell a fucking rat in the premise! I want every airbase searched, the surrounding land searched and guards put on patrols around the area 24 hours a day!" Denali Offensive Things were grim as massive casualites were sustanied. The troops were called back in an effort to get out of the enemies artillery range. It was the first time the Eyyguians were pulled back in the war so far. Yet they were given word that 200,000 soldiers from their allies were on their way. All were to be stationed at this front and would easily overpower the enemies forces. They would hold all positions until they arrived. Yemen Offensive Regardless of the obstacles, the Eyyguian Army had enough armor to continue to push the enemy back. Eyyguian artillery launched a foray of bombs to any enemy that got within range, though sometimes not as fast as the armor would have liked. Several tanks were hit by RPGs and were moved behind for repairs. The momentum of the Eyyguians had slowed down on this front as well. Though the arrival of 100,000 reinforcements and several armor squads refreshed the ranks. The river ran red with blood of both sides. Bodies were falling inside, poisoning the river. Yet it convineintly flowed downward, deeper and deeper into Akseom, running through many towns and cities. Clear water supply lines had been established behind the front lines as the soldiers were instructed to not have the river's waters for fear of disease. Zanlu Probably the largest air battle ever in history was taking place on this front. Hundreds of planes fought for the skies as the ground troops took second stage. This was the first front that the new Eyyguian air offensive took effect. Hundreds of fighters and bombers accompanied by the radar jamming EA-68 arrived. They had hoped that enough frequencies would be disrupted to render enemy SAMs, artillery and even enemy fighters useless. None of those, with the exception of some artillery, could be used without radar. SAM missles relied on radar to track their targets. A furious battle erupted. |

The Sith Troops arrived at Denali to find the Eyyguian troops back behind cover from Artillery. The Third Army under General Nicholas Sandler, had arrived. To turn this Offensive around, the General moved his camoflauged artillery into position as quietly and secretly as they could, then began a barrage of their own towards the Aksoemian emplacements. The General orderd 50,000 men to charge forward towards the frontlines. |

Tetwane Counter Offensive: -Denali River With the Eyyguians pulling back and momentum being carried by the attachment of rallied Aksoemites the order was given for a full attack on the Denali River offensive, if the Eyyguians were going to start moving soon then General Kibwe wanted them in a position where they could be held back, another detachment of Artillery was deployed to the Denali front and an attachment of Mil Mi 24's in case he wanted to push this attack. Amongst these fresh reinforcments were around 100,000 new soldiers, to be held in reserve in case the Eyyguians wanted to push back, for now the offensive continued, Artillery pounding the centre of the Eyyguian morass, a wall of Mortar fire keeping them caged in, and several infantry units pushing round the flanks to surround them. Overall Casualties: 3,100 Infantry, 12 T-54 Tanks, 23 Artillery Pieces Tetwane Counter Offensive -Yemen Having pushed hard for a stalemate it was a welcome greeting awaiting the T-72 reinforcements, easily able to tip the scales and take out those enemies who had challenged the T-54's, although still outgunned, the continued guerilla tactics boosted the usefulness of the T-72's, Kibwe estimated the outcome of this battle to be a stalemate drawn in Eyyguian blood, but the cost of defending this territory had been deep, thousands were dead, more on his own side than the Eyyguians, the river Denali had bodies floating, and the previously flat plains had been rocked with tractor marks and tank shells. Overall Casulaties: 9,800 Infantry, 64 T-54's, 2 T-72's Tetwane Counter Offensive -Zanlu Reports from the Aksoem Spies indicated a massive attack incoming, as if every available weapon of war was to be sent Kibwe's way, it was fortunate that the Air Marshall had called upon every Airfield south of the Zanlu, although they were still facing an enemy that was stronger and now likely larger than theirs, the battle for the skies would not be lost, it could not be lost. SAM's were deployed to every airfield in use, and others to protect the exposed Artillery, the Mig patrol was doubled and a new patrol sent further towards the border, Radar Vans were deployed on the border to track the enemy movement. The plan was set into motion and would likely hold the Eyyguians up until further reinforcements could be assembled, when suddenly the Radar frequencies located in the SAM's and Migs went dead, this wasn't a typical Radar Jamming, there had to be something causing this, and it would likely have to stay local, in range, Air Marshall Nkruma knew what General Kibwe would want him to do, but he was unsure that he had such a lack of care over human life. A special unit of Migs were sent into the air, those who had trained in specialised air manuevers, those who could get close enough to the enemy jets to accurately gun them down, or, if need be, run them out of the air, these new Migs would need to run very finely with the enemy, almost so they could wave to their enemy, this was a return to the ancient dogfights of the first world war. Tetwane Counter Offensive -Najran Away from the fighting, heading north with its shadow cast over the fertile lands below, huging close to the ground so the enemy wouldn't easily see them, the lone operated Mil Mi-24's of the Drebimbe "Spook" Regiment spirited over the border, with the guidance of the Aksoem Rats, they were able to dive around some of the stationary SAM's, but found themselves often confronted by the Eyyguians mobile Anti Air units, when the concentration of these began to heighten, they knew they had to leave. The Mil Mi's were stationary for only a moment, the Spooks having trained in ditching from ten feet drops, siezing positions across the border and opening lines with the local Rats, they began to co-ordinate their efforts, seeking out the enemy SAM's ready for the Zanlu Counter Offensive, taking cover around the enemy SAM spot and sniping their way through the enemy unit, before destroying the enemy piece. (OOC: Get on AIM, discuss the Drebimbe Spooks and other things.) Edited by Aksoem, 26th July 2008 - 03:50 PM.

Denali River This front was becoming a hellhole. It was drenched in the smell of Jews as they arrived. They had brought their Jew foods and their Jew drinks, it was almost overpowering the Eyyguians. Yet they had their respect for aiding them in this battle. A symbolic picture was taken of the Eyyguian Commander of the Denali and the Jewish General. It was on the front cover of every newspaper in Eyygui and for the time being, the Sith Republic was respected. As soon as they started charging however, it was unclear of what was happening. Yet the Commander recieved a telegram from the airforce reading "All out charge on all enemy positions, we control the air" As soon as he read that he gave a small inspiring speech to his men. An an all out volley was launched. All 150,000 Eyyguian troops began an all out charge, following a full night of Eyyguian artillery bombardment. Meanwhile the airforce had arrived, bombers began to destroy enemy artillery and SAMs, knowing full well that the Ea-6Bs had the radar's locked down. Fighters engaged in evasive actions, protecting the allied bombers and radar jammers. Those who could target ground troops did the same. It seemed as though a final push had been given to the beleagured Denali Offensive. Yemen Offensive The arrival of the new enemy tanks had halted the Challengers and the infantry guarding them. The Commander recieved the telegram and then responded "We are not able to move forward, the enemy has us pinned down and we have them pinned down. Airforce pound them." The squadron leaders recieved the reply and had it noted. Immediatly they began to arrive on the front they unloaded a painful barrage of bombs upon the enemy front lines, softening up their tank offensives, they retaining half the bombs for artillery and SAM sites. Fighters just protected. Zanlu Offensive The front with the most manuvarability quickly became one of the bloodiest. Enemy fightesr now began to entagle themselves with Eyyguian fighters. And though the Eyyguians were faster and stronger, the enemy was insane! They were running themselves towards the Eyyguian fighters, blowing both sides into the air. To those on the ground it was a stunning display of fire. Regardless bombers dropped their payload on enemy artillery, SAM, and infantry sites. All troops began to charge at the enemy, with the few armor they had at their fronts. Home Front "Sir this child has been working for Akseom, spying on our planes, he is the rat" coldly said an Eyyguian guard. They had finally found a rat! And they would use him, even though he was a child. The enemy was more immoral for sending them into battle, they thought. Quickly children were caught all over airbases, they were locked up in cells and some where interrogated for information. |

Kibwe watched, as reports came in across the line, even heroic Yemen, where he had just offered the survivors a place in legend, the enemy was acting as ruthlessly as he now, and he did not much care for it, in the end he knew this line would have to be closed off, and it's brave soldiers fallen back, he had just hoped for a little longer, a few more dozen good heroic stories, like the ones he read about in western comics when he was younger, "Order the Tetwane Counter Offensive closed, fall back to the second marker, regroup, reload, and reinforce, we're going in again soon, but this time we won't be holding back!" Kibwe made the silent threat under his breath, gritting his teeth. If Kibwe's dream was to be realised, it would require the largest mobilisation in Aksoem history, but realising that this war was being fought over Aksoem soil, not Sendrian, of the 350,000 men who survived the carnage on the Tetwane Front, only 100,000 would make up the second counter offensive, combined with 600,000 men of the Aksoem reserves, these divisions had the technology expected of a modern war, no T-54's or Mig 23's, it was all T-72's and Mig 29's. Interestingly, this deployment started in the Eastern constraints of the Terlaka Gabez Region, a ruthlessly anarchic region, in which was deployed two purely Armoured Divisions, some T-72's escorted by the weaker T-54's, imbetween the Zanlu and Yemen Rivers, in the region known as Kogosi, flanking the enemy bulge was another two divisions of Armour, and an Artillery Regiment poised to attack. on the Yemen flats, the other side of the border, in the Nkruma Region, was another Armour Regiment, a heavier one ready to take advantage of the flat farmlands terrain of Yemen, supported by an Artillery Regiment, just to ensure the enemy was weak enough, and lastly, taking up the opposite flank, and occupying the Denali River was a wide deployment of four Armour Regiments, 2 Rifle Regiments an Air Assault Regiment and an Artillery Regiment, Kibwe was taking no chances in securing a hit against his enemy. Supporting the entire front were several regiments of Mig 29's, and weaker Mig 23's, Kibwe was equally concerned about losing Air Superiority, now that his SAM position had been severely weakened, by the enemy Radar Jamming, the whole Offensive was to be codenamed Alaba, the mythical second born daughter of Aksoem founder Queen Yadit, Kimbwe thought it fitting to have Aksoems second chance named for the same all those centuries ago. (OOC: would you believe me, if I told you, I'm not taking any chances) Alaba Offensive - Black Lines, Armour - Teal Lines, Artillery - Dark Blue Lines, Rifle - Dark Green Lines, Air Assault - Green Dots, Air Support (1 Per Regiment) |
