Rabinowicz looked between Slavakovitch, the two guards, and his phone. He only needed to thumb in one more digit. G-d forsaken heathens, he thought again. He angrily shoved the cell-phone back into one of his pockets. He glared at the guard that had spoken to him. "Sie.....ich wurde sie nicht vergessen." he responded back, before sending an annoyed look at Slavakovitch. Finding nothing else to do, Rabinowicz decided to sit down. Then he heard the distant boom, followed by a deafening blast. Then the sirens sounded. Sending an exasperated look at Slavakovitch, he angrily demanded, "Alright, what the hell is going on now? Explain, and fast. Do not waste my time with excuses."

Slavakovich fell to his knees at the blast, he noticed that the glass window had shattered, Slavakovich ran to the window and looked to the street, he saw troops running amongst the streets and heard gun fights break out in town.

"I think General Jehu is...Overthrowing the Chancellor."

Another blast went off, this time it hit the building next to them, and several of the chairs from inside the office flew out the window at this blast, the guard who had confronted Rabinowicz was thrown from the building and landed atop a police cruiser several hundred feet below.

The alarm sounded in the Government Building and the red light flashed, Slavakovich realised what this meant, he looked towards Rabinowicz and O'Park, "The door should be unlocked now, we need to evacuate." Slavakovich opened the door and looked down the hall, he saw groups of black-clad soldiers scurrying to gain control over the situation, he also heard guns further down the hall, Jehu must have raised a substantial force to take on Macklein's Capital Guard. Slavakovich guided Rabinowicz and O'Park out of the room and towards the emergency stairwell. When he had reached the ground floor he saw that the Capital Guard and Jehu's troops were in an intense gun fight in the foyer of the building, suddenly an APC crashed through the wall and led to the street, Slavakovich ran for safe cover.

O'Park, realizing the cell jammers were possibly out now, went for his cell phone, dialing the direct-dial number to the Chancellery, directly to the Lord High Chancellor's office, hoping for a signal

At the next instant Slavakovich falls to his legs as a large urban tank roars around the corner and crushes several men in it's path, at that instant, a man runs from a near building armed simply with an anti-tank missile, he fires it and it roars towards the tank, a direct hit! The tank is destroyed!

Meanwhile on the roof of the government building Macklein and Jehu are still having their drawn out movie-like dialogue.

"You know you won't get away from this one you know Macklein!"

Macklein, being insane for years actually expected something this...odd, a showdown on the roof of his office building,

"That's where you're wrong General! I did expect this!"

At that instant a Democratic League helicopter arrives and commands the Chancellor to stand down,

"Stand down now Chancellor! We will shoot!"

Macklein dives into a more heavily guarded area and grabs a parachute, having anticipated this, he ran and jumped off the edge of the building. Jehu was...puzzled to say the least, he didn't expect this to go over like a movie. The Chancellor pulled his parachute strap and began gliding towards a boat in the river.

Jehu pulled out his .45 and began firing in the direction of the Chancellor, only one shot hit and it ended up hitting him in the leg, "Damn" he thought.

He got away, this would surely extend the war for much longer than Jehu had wanted.

Rabinowicz stayed close to O'Park as the events were unfoldings. I should make a note to never return to this verkakte land, ever again, he thought quickly. Then he noticed the Vice Chancellor making his move with a phone. Rabinowicz removed his phone again. All he needed was one more digit to get through...

Tomas Schaedel III had come to the throne shortly after the death of his father, Dietrich Schaedel. His father had been a great man, guided the nation to the end of the Reconstruction, and brought about the democratic reforms. Tomas hadn't known many crises since the death of his father. And now he looked upon his father's values on how to deal with the fascist to the west. The meeting room was darkened as walls filled with maps of what was thought to be the current situation. Markers noted the current positions of units of the Reichswehr, the status of oil and metal shipments to Slaybackia, and possible locations of Slaybackian military units. Those had disappeared, after the men that tinpot dictator had sent east to the border had backed off. At first, the men in the room were sure that meant the negotiations were going well. Kanzler Kosciusz had beamed as the markers blinked out one by one. Marshall Gunderik breathed a small sigh of relief, knowing that none of his men and women would need to die in some senseless conflict. But something seemed amiss. Rabinowicz should have called them to notify of any progress with the negotiations. Tomas knew Tomasz well, and knew that he would not wait to tell them of any success. Something seemed....wrong. And that was when the phone connected to Rabinowicz began to ring. With a grin, Tomas picked it up, thinking of nothing but success. Everyone in the room looked upon him, expecting nothing but the fascists backing down.

"Hello Tomasz, good to hear..."

The look on Tomas's face changed. It changed from that of good intentions, to uncertainty and fear.

"Wait, what do you mean....is that gunfire?"

Gunderik visibly flinched. Something had gone wrong. Horribly wrong. And then Tomas's face contorted into a twisted grimace, half anger, half shock.

"That bastard did WHAT? He will pay, do you hear me? Never has something been done so....barbaric!"

Tomas was turning red from the anger. He looked as if he might lose the control he sought to keep in tight situations. But this was an outrage, a slap to the face to any decent, normal, and sane person. He switched over the call to speaker mode, so everyone could hear as Rabinowicz repeated what was occuring, and what had happened. Tomas and Kosciusz looked at each other, and nodded in silent agreement. Kosciusz spoke.

"Gunderik, we are going to need to get some view of what the hell is going on over there. Civil War, uprising, whatever. We need a sattelite over Herr Rabinowicz, to help find out where he is in that city and what the situation is. Can you do this?"

"Yes, sir. Understood."

Gunderik grabbed a phone near him, and punched in the numbers. Things had gone wrong alright. Hopefully it wasn't too late to get their man out.

Slavakovich knew very well that if either O'Park or Rabinowicz were to get harmed, that would bring about many horrible things in whatever the nation's future was, he quickly called the two over to a safe spot and began to think of ways out of this.

"Maybe...just maybe."

Slavakovich ran around the room until he could find a sledgehammer, he then began to smash away at the floor of a nearby room, underneath the floor he found what he was looking for!

"Just as I thought! Macklein must have had an escape tunnel built under the city! Quickly! We can get to the military base from here, it should be under Jehu's control, chances are he'll be sympathetic to you guys! Gentlemen, you HAVE to trust me here, it might be the only way you'll get out of here."

Meanwhile on Macklein's command boat...

"Chancellor! Good day!"

The Chancellor limped into the room.

"How is the defense going gentlemen?"

"Poorly sir, Jehu seems to have a majority of the Army and Navy on his side, and sooner or later the Civilian force will join with him too."

"Damn! Well, what about our satellites? What do they read?"

"Well, sir, right now our main one is malfunctioning, there must be another satellite in the region."

"What!? Who's spying on us?!"

"The satellite is unmarked, probably one of the Jews who were sent here."

"Shoot it down."

"Sir...?"

"SHOOT. IT. DOWN!"

"Yes sir."

At that moment, in Northern New Slaybackia an ICBM launch pad became active, a rocket fired, it would only be seconds until it would reach the Schaedelin Satellite....

Anti-satellite attempts had never really been all that successful. Conditions had to be perhect, trajectories known, correct armament used, etc. As the Schaedelian Reconaissance satellite slowly and methodically captured pictures of the chaotic events below, relaying them back to the Schaedelian High Command meeting being held, it took little note as the Slaybackian missile sped towards its target. It took no notice as the missile's warhead detonated, sending forth what could have been a deadly hail of shrapnel. It took no notice(except for what the trained eye would only percieve as a malfunction in the image resolution of the pictures captured) as this hail harmlessly passed by, and the satellite continued its job.

Rabinowicz was growing tired fast of these increasingly insane events. Civil war, chaos on the streets, people that seemed to think they were in some damned action movie. And yet, his only chance at survival was to follow yet another insane person in a country that was fast becoming the number one spot that should have been a mental hopsital. So, follow he did. When I get back, I'm asking Tomas for a long break, going to a little place south of the great metropolis of Koscuizkoza on the East Coast. Nothing but sitting back, relaxing, and not dealing with crazy operatic fascists, flashed through his mind briefly.

OOC: Are you sure you would have the ability to do such? It has happened only 3 times IRL, and two of those were on fast-decaying satellites. Plus, I don't think a small nation would have such capacity(IRL, USA, Russia, China, and possibly India only have the technical capacity) unless it was extremely rich. Being saved for an IC response later.
OOC: It's worth a shot, I'm using the new ICBM with the burst-Warhead, so splash damage could do it.

After reporting to the Prime Ministry what had occurred, O'Park decided that he would, in fact, follow the New Slaybackian through the tunnel. Anything was better than the wartorn city, he thought.

-----

The Prime Ministry sat in the Situation Room, except of course, the missing Vice Chancellor. The Prime Ministry, the unofficial term for the small council of key Cabinet members, was made up of the Lord High Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor (currently absent), the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister, the National Security Minister, and the Deputy Chancellor, the courtesy-title with naught but an honorific given to the Leader of the Opposition, were the members of the Prime Ministry. They agreed to put the military on full alert, and be ready to launch forces into their southern neighbor, should the situation warrant the intervention.

The Civil War had been raging for weeks by this point, this is the account of the last few weeks of events.

Slavakovich guided the men through the tunnel to an airbase over the hill from downtown New Slaybacksburgh, the base was in chaos.

Slavakovich exited the tunnel and called the men over to a command bunker, while walking down the stairs to the bunker Slavakovich saw Jehu standing inside of it over top of an electronic map of all of New Slaybackia.

"General!" Slavakovich was stunned.

Jehu turned around and saw the Minister standing there with 2 other men, they all looked very frizzled from the recent events.

"Dr. Slavakovich! How did you get here?! Where have you been!?"

"I used one of Macklein's old escape tunnels, we were in the government building, Macklein nearly tried to kill both of these diplomats!"

Jehu looked concerned, he knew that this would soon turn New Slaybackia into an international pariah.

"Look, we can't do anything from here, sooner or later Macklein will find this place..."

The bunker shook, alarms went off and a tired looking younger soldier ran down the stairs, he approached Jehu and told him the situation:

"Macklein found us, they just bombed the front gates, there's an armored brigade coming up the road."

"...Scheisse..." Jehu looked around, he glanced at the electronic map and quickly pulled a small flash drive from it.

"I'll get you out of here, don't worry."

He ran up the stairs and guided the three men to an underground hanger, in the hanger was New Slaybackia's new experimental VTOL aircraft.

"Get in, fast."

The hanger shook as another napalm bomb struck the airfield.

Jehu approached a pilot nearby and ordered him to fly the diplomats and Slavakovich to the Northern Command (The northern command was the most heavily gaurded and heavily defended base in all of New Slaybackia, it was also under Jehu's control), he told the men that he'd meet with them soon afterwards.

The pilot climbed into the VTOL and started it up, Jehu hit a button and the doors to the hanger began to open.

Macklein hovered above an electronic map of New Slaybackia, he had it zoomed in to show the location of his forces around Jehu's bunker.

"How many men to we have approaching that base?" Macklein had asked a nearby commander.

"Sechstousand mein Fuhrer."

"Good, primarily armored, correct?"

"Ja"

At that moment another man walked in holding a laptop.

"Sir! We just got reports that Slavakovich and two other men were detected using the escape tunnels underneath the city! They are believed to be with Jehu now!"

"Good...we can kill 2 birds with one stone, bomb the base."

"Jawohl mein Fuhrer!" The man then walked quickly out of the room.

Macklein was determined not to allow anybody to escape his wrath.

As the pilot scrambled to take off, another bomb hit the base, the hanger was starting to fall apart, it could not take this much damage.

After some fiddling with the controls, the pilot got the VTOL off the ground and out of the top of the hanger.

"Open fire!" commanded one of Macklein's armored brigade commanders.

The infantry tried to shoot the VTOL down but the armored plating and quick speed of the aircraft made sure that no damage was done and no harm came to the men inside.

Several Hours Later...

The VTOL lands in Northern Command and the pilot helps the men out.

A man in a formal military uniform walks up and shakes hands with Dr. Slavakovich...

"Dr. Slavakovich, nice to see you escaped Macklein's rampage, and nice to see that these gentlemen did too."

"Yeah yeah...I get it...now do we have any way to get these guys out?"

"Not quite sir, Macklein's forces are to the east and west of us, if we were to try to drive them out, they'd surely be captured, if we were to try to fly them out, chances are the helicopter or plane would be shot down."

"Dammit, then what can we do?!"

"Just hope sir."

"We don't have time for that! We're on the brink of getting invaded!"

"I realize that sir."

"Dammit! ... *Sigh* Try to see if you can get anybody in their government's on the phone."

"Yes sir!"

"And captain?"

"Yes sir?"

"What happened to Jehu?"

"We don't know sir, Macklein captured the base about 20 minutes after you left, no word from either side on Jehu's condition."

The hangar somewhere in Baricia was dead-silent. Filled to the brim with pilots and officers, not a sound was being made. Colonel Emil Anieliwicz surveyed the men and women. If their mission worked as planned, the deaths of thousands would be avoided, and a necessary war would be finished before it was started.

The attack will be split into two portions. The main attack force, which will be under my lead, shall strike directly from the North of Macklein’s ship. This force will consist of 50 Schaedelian MiG-35s, 21 Alliance F-22s, and 24 Barician MiG-35s. The secondary attack force…"

Anieliwicz gestured towards Air Major Friedrich MacJakob of Baricia.

"…will be lead by Air Major MacJakob. The secondary attack force will fly to the West of Macklein, coming in perpendicular to the main attack force. This force will consist of 84 Barician MiG-35s and 12 Barician Su-35s. This is going to be a Time-on-Target attack, the main force will wait long enough for the secondary to be in position, then coordinate the attack to hit simultaneously. With the amount of aircraft we have assembled, Macklein won’t have a way out. Even if he gets out, the Barician Imperial Navy have the Imperial Sovereign and the Thor on hand to prowl his watery grave, along with two full battle-groups."

Anieliwicz glanced up and down the ranks of pilots and officers. He needed to add one more thing before this got started.

If we kill this Macklein bastard, thousands upon thousands of lives will be saved. Kill one, save thousands. My Brothers and Sisters in Arms, if we succeed, we will have protected our homelands from this insane aggressor. Our allies in the Alliance have sent some of their pilots, who are here. This is a united effort. We shall go down in the histories of our nations for our actions in this grand hour. That is all. Good luck, and Godspeed."
