A quick note: I see you've formatted this as an Act, which I am fully supportive of, however the last time I tried to amend the Charter through an Act, Riasy, then Minister of Justice, declared that unconstitutional. I am working on a Charter Amendment which will make absolutely legal the amending of the Charter through legislative Acts. You can wait until that Act is passed, or reorganise this as an Amendment. Some minor technical changes: Spoiler: click to toggle

I think you should change 1. Title from This Act may be referred to and cited as the Cabinet Term Length Act 2015. to This Act may be referred to and cited as Charter Amendment: Cabinet Term Length. This would be more in line (in my opinion) with what Riasy meant and South Jarvis reminded us. I don't think the amendment gets a number until it is accepted, right? I didn't check, I'm just imagining this. Edited by Borq, 3 Jul 2015, 11:20.

Editing now. I don't think the number really matters, seeing as if this isn't passed the page will just disappear into obscurity anyway. The Title bit should have been edited after SJ's post, i missed it |
