So here we go again.

This time around, after criticism about the quiet cabinet, I'm going to try being a little whiny. As soon as I settle into the summer a bit I hope to begin working on a few amendments that I think will help with regional operation.

Increasing term lengths to 90 days, instead of 75. Considering our election activity and competition levels (though this one was an improvement mainly due to some overparticipation by one individual), I think a slightly longer term will improve the stability of the cabinet and improve our voter participation a little while making cabinet positions that much more desirable.

File the required paperwork so we can have a presidential puppet to speed up any future changes of power. Dealing with almost a month of endorsement trading is undesirable.

Finally, additional forum management rights for MoDA. SG will remain in charge of managing groups and their authorizations. It was my position during the last cabinet that our current forum set up is needlessly complex with nested subforums out the wazzoo, leaving many with very few posts and making the entire thing difficult to navigate and monitor. I think that changing this falls more readily into the purview of MoDA and this is one of the topics I will be especially TG spammy about.

Otherwise, new business? Old business? Bring it on.

South Jarvis: Wait, we changed it to 'DSA Promotion'? It's always been 'Regional Promotion', ever since I've been here.
o_O

The WFE says 'Min. of Immigration/DSA Promotion', and I believe it has since I've been here. The (quite old) Regional Government forum page, however, says 'Minister of Immigration & Regional Promotion', and the abbreviation MIRP suggests that it was originally 'Regional Promotion'. The Charter also uses 'Regional Promotion', so I suppose any change to the WFE was made unofficially.

...Defwa, please change it back to "Regional Promotion" before I punch something.

I've always had it referred to me as "Regional Promotion", and I guess I pushed it's use after my election. I decided to look at the RMB:

The first use of "Regional Promotion" was used by New Bazlantis, around 3 years and 44 days ago, in the election for the First Cabinet.

However, "DSA Promotion" was first used by Liossalde, around 2 years and 14 days ago, in the election for the Sixth Cabinet. I can't find any evidence of it being officially changed. However, Gervase, the elected MIRP, continued using "Regional Promotion". This continued till the Seventh Cabinet.

The Seventh Cabinet (Haltari) strangely mentions it as "Regional Promotion" and "DSA Promotion". The Eighth Cabinet also did the same thing, but TSJI referred to it as "Regional Promotion". Then, for every session of my tenure as MIRP (I believe 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, and 15th), I have officially used "Regional Promotion".

Therefore, I think that the official name should be "Regional Promotion".

Additionally, while I was crawling through the backlog of the RMB, I found this:

I don't know how long its been there but I do know that occasionally our WFE can get tight when it comes to character count. It may have been modified in the past when there was more material on the WFE to save space.

Ok, so we moved the charter... and I didn't even know...

Where is the up-to-date and current Charter? I need it so I can link to it on the LeftExpo Page.

Ok, thanks. But shouldn't all of the links that point to the charter go to this version?

Because all links go to the archived version.

Can the WFE link to the Charter be replaced with this link to the forum, please?

Also, the WA Delegate-elect and MIRP of the Labour and Socialist International have put a motion to dissolve the LSI into the DSA due to inactivity within the LSI.
Just following orders.
The link on the WFE goes to ^that^ thread, which has a link to the actual charter.

Ah, thank you.

Also, I've noticed something.

We've never actually become a signatory of the Arnhelm Declaration. I mean, I saw that we did vote on it, and it did reach a majority, but on either of the two main areas to sign up for it, both the NS Fourm and Republic of Europeia pages on the Declaration, no member of the DSA has actually signed it. Thus, the NS Forum page does not list us as a signatory.

I think we should probably fix this immediately, but I just came here to get some opinions.

That's a good idea.
