So here we go again. This time around, after criticism about the quiet cabinet, I'm going to try being a little whiny. As soon as I settle into the summer a bit I hope to begin working on a few amendments that I think will help with regional operation. Increasing term lengths to 90 days, instead of 75. Considering our election activity and competition levels (though this one was an improvement mainly due to some overparticipation by one individual), I think a slightly longer term will improve the stability of the cabinet and improve our voter participation a little while making cabinet positions that much more desirable. File the required paperwork so we can have a presidential puppet to speed up any future changes of power. Dealing with almost a month of endorsement trading is undesirable. Finally, additional forum management rights for MoDA. SG will remain in charge of managing groups and their authorizations. It was my position during the last cabinet that our current forum set up is needlessly complex with nested subforums out the wazzoo, leaving many with very few posts and making the entire thing difficult to navigate and monitor. I think that changing this falls more readily into the purview of MoDA and this is one of the topics I will be especially TG spammy about. Otherwise, new business? Old business? Bring it on. |

Thanks! As stated before, this will have to wait until elections for MoJ are done - this is not an emergency, so I shouldn't abuse my interim position. Does this data reflect all residency requirements including endorsement of the WAD? |

@Defwa: the way the MoJ election is going right now, it will either be a draw, or neither candidate will get a majority. If this happens, please consider myself out of the race, so that you can have a functioning cabinet. I'm writing this here so that our SecGen can object if this is not doable, and also because I will be out of the country for about a week, with limited access to the Internet. Thanks! |

I'll make sure Eilean is pressured to do a purge. Now that I'm aware of the endorsement rule, I'm definitely going to try to get that done. |

[the following takes place in real time] "Oh, I forgot to check if there was a cabinet meeting set up" *checks* "Oh god how much did I miss" Hello everyone! I exist. I've just run my position on auto-pilot, essentially. Nothing new here. Although, I may address the same issue to you all that I've had for three terms: TSJI still has the password to the GMail account with the official population counts. I've kept a copy with me on my personal account, but there's no way I can update the real, actual charts. You see, this is why I've only really wanted to run for MIRP. Because of the charts. If I didn't have the charts, gee, I'd probably already be a much higher up position. But the moment I lose the cabinet seat, the next in line will have nothing to work with. Considering the fact it's been months, that could be a lost cause. Unless an old SG might have it? But I admit to not fully knowing what we're referring to (probably in part for having not seen it in some time) |

As far as I'm aware, precedent has been that abstentions are not counted in determining a majority. Thus, Borq wins the MoJ election. Regarding the population statistics, is this not it? If it is, any future MIRP can just make a copy of the document and continue working on it. Edited by South Jarvis, 20 May 2015, 06:53.

OK, so I'm back. Yeey! Now, about that purge that Rat started: I'm quite sure it didn't include those residents who omit to endorse the WAD. However, I also think that this part of residency requirements was never enforced in the past. Correct? On one hand, we want all residents to abide by the residency requirements, but on the other hand we don't want to reduce our region to half its size. How can we handle this? Simply ignore the WAD endorsement requirement? Or should I actually TG each nation which did not endorse and ask them to? And then what? Put them on probation and then eject them? What do you all think about this? Edit: @Defwa: would you please update my title on the WFE please? Thanks! Edited by Borq, 20 May 2015, 15:10.

Send a TG informing them of the charter requirements for now but not a probation letter, until we can reach consensus on whether or not to enforce it more harshly. If we do it, I'd definitely be okay with extended probations. What good is our large population if they're uninvolved and not contributing to the region? Edited by Defwa, 20 May 2015, 17:13.

I've received an offer to be interviewed by the Rejected Times. When I get the interview questions, I'll be running my responses through here. This could be a good exposure opportunity for us. |
