So here we go again. This time around, after criticism about the quiet cabinet, I'm going to try being a little whiny. As soon as I settle into the summer a bit I hope to begin working on a few amendments that I think will help with regional operation. Increasing term lengths to 90 days, instead of 75. Considering our election activity and competition levels (though this one was an improvement mainly due to some overparticipation by one individual), I think a slightly longer term will improve the stability of the cabinet and improve our voter participation a little while making cabinet positions that much more desirable. File the required paperwork so we can have a presidential puppet to speed up any future changes of power. Dealing with almost a month of endorsement trading is undesirable. Finally, additional forum management rights for MoDA. SG will remain in charge of managing groups and their authorizations. It was my position during the last cabinet that our current forum set up is needlessly complex with nested subforums out the wazzoo, leaving many with very few posts and making the entire thing difficult to navigate and monitor. I think that changing this falls more readily into the purview of MoDA and this is one of the topics I will be especially TG spammy about. Otherwise, new business? Old business? Bring it on. |

Aaaand I'm back as interim MoJ. While interim, I will not start any actions (like the long promised purge), but I will be available for the other MoJ duties. It's up to the future-elected MoJ to verify residency requirements, if nobody objects. Edit: Defwa, could you please update the WFE to show me as interim? Thanks! Edited by Borq, 13 May 2015, 19:58.

So there was discussion some time ago about putting the WA delegate into a puppet but before it could be considered, we needed a better name than President of the DSA. What does everybody think about the Proconsulate? Fancy, vaguely menacing, technically accurate- everything I look for, personally. |

I actually like President of the DSA. It's simple, not at all menacing, very accurate (in accordance with the Charter). By the way, we would need a Charter amendment for that, I think. Just a couple of changes regarding the obligation to endorse the puppet, and a couple of new paragraphs about the meaning of the puppet and how it is passed from President to President. Maybe also about what happens when one President refuses to give the puppet to the newly elected president. This could actually be bad and difficult to handle (and a good argument against such a system). |

Yes an amendment would be required. And I would think the password would need to be left with the SG and founder in case of emergency. But really, our main problem in transfer of power has been the endorsement transfer. Everybody chooses to leave the WA to shed their endorsements. Having that power in a puppet eliminates complications in power transfer but how would we be at any more risk for a "president for life" situation than we are now? |

I'd like it I know what you all think of an embassy with A Liberal Haven. Personally I like the idea. |

If we have the ambassadors and LH isn't going to get us in the middle of any drama, I'm pretty much never going to refuse a suggestion. |

The first Charter compliance audit of this Cabinet term:
The data is a little outdated (it doesn't reflect ejections made earlier today). |
