So here we go again.

This time around, after criticism about the quiet cabinet, I'm going to try being a little whiny. As soon as I settle into the summer a bit I hope to begin working on a few amendments that I think will help with regional operation.

Increasing term lengths to 90 days, instead of 75. Considering our election activity and competition levels (though this one was an improvement mainly due to some overparticipation by one individual), I think a slightly longer term will improve the stability of the cabinet and improve our voter participation a little while making cabinet positions that much more desirable.

File the required paperwork so we can have a presidential puppet to speed up any future changes of power. Dealing with almost a month of endorsement trading is undesirable.

Finally, additional forum management rights for MoDA. SG will remain in charge of managing groups and their authorizations. It was my position during the last cabinet that our current forum set up is needlessly complex with nested subforums out the wazzoo, leaving many with very few posts and making the entire thing difficult to navigate and monitor. I think that changing this falls more readily into the purview of MoDA and this is one of the topics I will be especially TG spammy about.

Otherwise, new business? Old business? Bring it on.

SJ, you seemed to want to keep it in place while just removing the possibility to filibuster and while I'm not a fan of that, if we're just going to make it ceremonial, we might as well remove the need for recognition completely and just have authors putting their own work to vote then checking procedures after the vote.
My wording might not have been particularly clear on this, but I agree with Defwa that there is no need for the President or Secretary-General to open things for scrutiny/voting. I don't think there's any place for anyone to have the power to veto legislation in the DSA.

South Jarvis, and everyone else who served in previous Cabinets since the 12th: any idea why there were no polls for evaluation of Cabinet activity since then?

I had been wondering the same myself, the process seemed to just end randomly

As Secretary-General of the Twelfth and Thirteenth Cabinets, I staged evaluations for the previous Cabinet after being advised to do so by the P/WAD.

For the Fourteenth Cabinet, Upright Workers was Secretary-General and did not stage evaluations.

If anyone sent Defwa a TG since friday, I have not received it. I've been out of town and there's apparently been some WA drama which is going to serve as a surgical TG strike against Bitely, which has overflowed my TG box.

Ejections complete, though.
