So here we go again. This time around, after criticism about the quiet cabinet, I'm going to try being a little whiny. As soon as I settle into the summer a bit I hope to begin working on a few amendments that I think will help with regional operation. Increasing term lengths to 90 days, instead of 75. Considering our election activity and competition levels (though this one was an improvement mainly due to some overparticipation by one individual), I think a slightly longer term will improve the stability of the cabinet and improve our voter participation a little while making cabinet positions that much more desirable. File the required paperwork so we can have a presidential puppet to speed up any future changes of power. Dealing with almost a month of endorsement trading is undesirable. Finally, additional forum management rights for MoDA. SG will remain in charge of managing groups and their authorizations. It was my position during the last cabinet that our current forum set up is needlessly complex with nested subforums out the wazzoo, leaving many with very few posts and making the entire thing difficult to navigate and monitor. I think that changing this falls more readily into the purview of MoDA and this is one of the topics I will be especially TG spammy about. Otherwise, new business? Old business? Bring it on. |

Hi everyone, I guess we're in business. So, directly to my first task: I couldn't find any indication in the prev. cabinet meetings regarding a recent audit on prohibited nation categories, and if any of the nations were already given notice or/and put on probation. I'd like to take care of this. SJ: I know that in the past you kindly provided such audits. Is there a tool which can help me do it myself? Or do you have any suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks! |

Terlibe, do you have any opinion on the possibility of setting up a voting bloc with some of our embassy allies? If you're familiar with WALL. If we can get them to arrange similar early voting systems, we can improve our impact with WA votes by all voting together at the same time. I bet the versutians would jump at the chance if they're in a state similar to where I left them as ambassador. It may require we give up some of our voting independence but considering we only ally with leftists, I wouldn't expect a huge disparity. Edited by Defwa, 13 May 2015, 02:35.

Hello all. Sorry to begin this new term on a sour note, but as I mentioned in the RMB, I don't believe Borq can be legally elected as MoJ. I've included a slightly longer rationale on the runoff election page. Defwa as President should appoint an interim MoJ within two days, while the election is being run. Right, sorry I didn't notice that. It was because due to the setup of the vote, you could not see the preferences expressed by each voter, taken together, right? In the meantime, please remove my access rights to the Closed Cabinet meetings. Also, Defwa, please update the WFE with the correct (new) election polls. |

Defwa, I like the idea, however there may be some issues. The Versutians are technically not a leftist region. At least, they didn't use to be. They are a region that basically allows their citizens to do what they please with their nations. I opened an embassy with them a while back because they had a stable government and were a peaceful, kind region. However, recently turmoil has struck and they are undergoing a major trial in which the former WAD is being accused of corruption. I'm also not so sure the idea would go over well with members of the region as, like you said, it would greatly diminish our voting independence, and as a relatively large region, that independence is important. Nontheless, I think we should talk to the members of our region and our ally regions about the idea, because it is certainly interesting. |

Also, I'd like to make a motion to make Communicar my advisor. That is, if he doesn't nominate himself and win the election for Minister of Role Play. Regardless, I'd like to know if anyone opposes. |

I guess I continue to misunderstand that amendment. Caused me some confusion during runoffs with Kotovania too. Well okay then. Borq, you've been ejected from the cabinet. Borq, you've been assigned to the position of interim Moj. Welcome to the cabinet. I'll get the WFE updated and send out a mass telegram about this and MoRP but I need to know how long the nominations and votes are for. Edited by Defwa, 13 May 2015, 16:31.

I was not aware of TVF's events. That's exciting. I do want Communicar involved in the cabinet. I think he's got some good stuff to him. My intentions in a voting bloc aren't quite pure. Because of our size and our current level of involvement with WA early voting, I would think we'd dominate such a group. And there would be provisions for if any vote is severely against our wishes for a bail out. Anyway, I'll see if I can figure out any other ways to increase our exposure and influence. While I have you here- what would you like me to do with the rando embassy requests I get? Most of them are completely non compliant and my impression of someone who can't be bothered to read the first few lines of our WFE and send requests to the right person is to ignore but if you want to receive all requests I get, I can do that. |
