Hello, comrades, and congratulations on your election!

This term holds some excitement with the NS World's Fair, only a few weeks away. Other than that, it's business as usual, more or less. Newcomers, check out your job descriptions in the Charter, returning Cabinet members, welcome back! If there are any questions, feel free to ask. I'll be pretty available this term, so I can respond within 2 days at the most.

Below is the proposed agenda for the term.

President/WA Delegate:

  • Find out what the people want from the Cabinet via polls.
  • Organize preparations for the World's Fair

Secretary General

  • Keep the Members of Congress list up to date
  • Update the top-of-forum bulletin to more accurately reflect any new goings-on in the forum.
  • Create an evaluation of the previous Cabinet
  • Amend electoral provisions regarding abstentions

Minister of Foreign Affairs

  • Ensure that there are active ambassadors to each of our allies
  • Investigate potential allies, both those that request being allies and those that you believe have potential.
  • Announce election results to allies.

Minister of Immigration and Regional Promotion

  • First and foremost, prepare for the World's Fair!
  • Update the DSA Population Statistics, seeing as the most recent entry in in September.

Minister of Justice

  • Continue to audit the DSA and its Members of Congress for Charter compliance. South Jarvis can supply you with a list of non-complying nations.

Minister of Domestic Affairs

  • Host a new contest similar to the best country one
  • Reinstate some sort of DSA news bulletin
  • Propose a Featured Five each week

Minister of Role Play

  • Keep the map up-to-date, including looking into the previously proposed vector format.
  • Try to bring back interest into the role-playing section of the forum and Forum7, both of which have seen little activity.

Finally, we all need to prepare for the World's Fair, as we all play some role in representing the region.

Oh, goody, back to my days as Minister of Justice...

Maybe.

Also, it seems that Kiptoke has become the Grand Prosecutor, having started the last 2 cases, not that we have that many. It's probably because of Phoenix Wright. Yes, I know that's primarily defense, but I choose to ignore your logic.

Indeed; fortunately, our ambassador in LSI, Javandria, has been quite attentive and I've noticed a few other familiar faces keeping their LSI puppets active -- yourself included, South Jarvis. I'll keep the rest of the Cabinet abreast of the situation as it develops. As it stands, the region remains locked.

Also, I've been exchanging messages with Unibot III about the possibility of exchanging embassies with the Rejected Realms. We've been discussing the fact that the RR have too many nations in our prohibited categories (~40%) to qualify according to the regulations I issued a little while ago, and accordingly we're at a bit of an impasse -- I've basically said that the policy is popular and I don't want to change it unilaterally. Indeed, given that the MFA is required to reflect the regional principles in the embassy policy, I have my doubts that tossing this requirement out the window or raising the threshold too high would even be legal. If an embassy with RR is something we really feel we should pursue, let me know, but otherwise it seems that it's not going to happen given our realities.
