Comrades, old and new: welcome to the newly-elected Tenth Cabinet of the DSA! First off, allow me to extend felicitations to you all on your successful elections! Yay! It was no cakewalk this time. Candidates competed with campaigns and platforms. I think that's a first, but if it isn't, it's gaining a lot more traction now that it's noticeable. So many were qualified, and just as many were attractive candidates, making it tough to decide! No worries, you are While the by-election is being held, take notice of the meeting format. It's divided into two parts - three if you count the discussion. The first is the Agenda, which are the everchanging objectives we hope to achieve. Depending on extenuating circumstances, these objectives can change or be given different priorities. Hopefully, it's because they've been completed. The second, Items for individual ministries, are your regular (if not daily) chores. They are predictable and never end. Take joys in the little accomplishments you make to stave off any boredom. Before you know it, your term will be over, so don't dilly-dally and be left with any regrets. If you feel you need orientation in either of these areas, please contact the previous ministers or myself. The next part is copied and pasted because I'm unoriginal and couldn't think of another way to word it: For all newcomers, the purpose of these meetings is to discuss issues facing the region as a whole and receive status updates from ministers on their duties in the region. I shall ask each of you to regularly (preferably at least once every week or two) update the Cabinet on the status of your ministries and share any concerns. I shall provide each ministry with a small list of items to address, though you need not discuss all of these at once as long as you get to each of them eventually. I officially open the 0th Cabinet Meeting of the 10th Cabinet. Yes, 0th. It's preliminary. ---Agenda--- Familiarize yourselves with your positions and get settled. Preferably in your office in the specific sub-forums. Decorate your desks and organize your file-cabinets. Nothing more for today. Wouldn't want to overload you on your first days. Baby steps. Class dismissed! ---Items for individual ministries--- Secretary General (SG): 1. Make sure everything is updated (Amendments, Charter nations, etc.). 2. Organise an evaluation of the Ninth Cabinet. 3. Appoint an advisor, if desired. Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA): 1. Make embassy recommendations to P/WAD. 2. Try to find new regions to potentially establish embassies with. 3. Monitor ambassadors for potential inactivity. 4. Appoint an advisor, if desired. Minister of Justice (MoJ): 1. Audit region for Civil Rights (CR), Political Freedoms (PF), and National Categories (NC) compliance. 2. Make recommendations to P/WAD for nations to eject, if any. 3. Familiarize yourself with the Charter. Minister of Immigration/Regional Promotion (MIRP): 1. Make sure the auto-telegram system is transferred and working properly. 2. Review and revise recruitment telegram draft. 3. Keep your eyes peeled for interregional events. 4. Experiment: find out what works and what doesn't. Perhaps a survey could tell us why people chose our region. Minister of Domestic Affairs (MDA): 1. Come up with new debate ideas. 2. Try to come up with a new contest or game. 3. Try to update all the information in the NS Wiki. (I am speaking of course of the new NSWiki.org created by Afforess. Contact TSJI for info on how they managed it.) --There should not be too much to change, aside from population and proofreading. 4. Update the DSA Capitol factbook. 5. Appoint an advisor, if desired. Minister of Role Play (MoRP): 1. Verify all nations on map are: --Existing --Reside in the region (domestic puppets okay, too) 2. Keep the map current and updated. 3. Encourage new roleplays in the Gymnasia. |

Done. I've managed to get access to the map database and I'll pass you the password. If it's okay, I'd like to be able to have my NS email as a backup in case something goes awry and I need to get access to the account again. |

You've all done wonderful work so far. Now that the merger between the SLU and UDLS has completed, does that mean that we will only need one embassy? With the recent development of the RWU tag raid on The International, I'd soon like to shift focus back to the interregional left defense idea. Where did we last stand on that and the interregional alliance between us, SLU, UDLS, and VF? Edited by Ratateague, 21 Apr 2014, 03:48.

It is my sad duty to recommend the following nations for ejection out of the Democratic Socialist Assembly: Glossarian Imperial Exchange of Kandorith Urduni The statistical parameters of these nations have violated Charter requirements for Residency, and I properly warned them about consequences of non-compliance, but unfortunately they failed to correct their nations on their own and ignored my offers of assistance. |

What? Kandorith?? The founder of the new CIL contacted me yesterday and would like to create an embassy. The region is actually called "CIL" if you'd like to take a look. It contains some long time members of the CIL and the broke off from Communist International after they felt they were treated unfairly by the government there. |

I think we should keep both embassy's open for now until we are asked otherwise. As for the defender organization, people are currently drafting their own charter/constitution, and then we will all meat and look at them and hopefully create one for the organization. |

It is only a puppet. I believe Kandorith has created it for the ByteCoin event. |

You don’t need Cabinet Approval for appointing Cabinet Aides for yourself. You will need unanimous consent of the Cabinet only if you will want to invite your Aide onto one of the closed-door Cabinet meetings (like this one). Personally I would support the proposal to allow Comrade Kryftland to participate in our meetings. |

Oh I apologize. I would still like a generally consensus on how everyone feels about it. And while we're at it, I move to allow him into our meetings. |
