Given recent events and fresh ideas from our fellow region members, I believe a new place to discuss them would be appropriate. I will hope that a Cabinet meeting for every 25 days will remain feasible, though its return is just an experiment for right now. I shall still ask each of you to regularly update the Cabinet on the status of your ministries and share any concerns. I have again proposed an agenda to carry over from the previous meeting and provided each ministry with a small list of items to address, though again you need not discuss all of these at once as long as you get to each of them eventually.

Therefore, I declare open the second meeting of the Eighth Cabinet.

---Agenda---

1. Region Tags
This had come up during my term as MoC, but little was ever done on this. I would like to get the Cabinet's and possibly Congress's opinion on this and edit them appropriately.

2. Leftist Alliance (Continuation of IRALL)
The discussion resumed and stagnated on the NS forum. This would essentially be an alliance of leftist regions in the same vein as IRALL.

3. International and Embassy Expansion
I would still like to see us expand our links further, see a couple more embassies established and encourage more nations, especially active ones, to serve as ambassadors.

4. Forum Activity
Of particular concern to me is the lack of activity amongst the Congress outside of elections and a relatively slow forum in general. I would like to get some resolutions and laws passed through Congress to start the ball rolling, have the MoRP encourage more role plays in the Gymnasia and see the MDA do the same in the Great Debate Hall.

5. NS World Fair
The People's Socialism is currently in discussions with the South Pacific on the DSA's role in the World Fair. Our region may want to start getting its presentation ready.

6. DSA-TI Relations
Given the continuing military zone in force in the Internationale and the continuing evacuation of non-WA nations, I would like the Cabinet to determine a future for the as of yet unofficial and limited DSA involvement in the situation.

7. Proposals from region-mates
Commendation of Haltari for service as P/WAD and MIRP
Fifth Cabinet entry in Capitol Factbook (proposed by Grobladonia, in progress)
Ministry of World Assembly Affairs (proposed by United Federation of Canada)

---Items for individual ministries---

Secretary General (SG):
1. Make sure everything is updated (Amendments, Charter nations, etc.).
2. Organise an evaluation of the Eighth Cabinet before the end of the term.
3. Appoint an advisor, if desired.

Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA):
1. Make embassy recommendations to P/WAD.
2. Try to find new regions to potentially establish embassies with.
3. Monitor ambassadors for potential inactivity.

Minister of Justice (MoJ):
1. Audit region for Civil Rights (CR), Political Freedoms (PF), and National Categories (NC) compliance.
2. Make recommendations to P/WAD for nations to eject, if any.

Minister of Immigration/Regional Promotion (MIRP):
1. Keep tabs on the auto-telegram system and make sure its working properly.
2. Continue negotiations and discussions on the NS World Fair.

incoming Minister of Domestic Affairs (MDA):
1. Come up with new debate ideas.
2. Try to come up with a new contest or game.
3. Update the DSA Capitol factbook.
4. Appoint an advisor, if desired.
5. Contact Suceavija or Arahu to familiarise yourself with the position.

Minister of Role Play (MoRP):
1. Verify all nations on map are:
--Existing
--Reside in the region (domestic puppets okay, too)
2. Keep the map current and updated.
3. Encourage new roleplays in the Gymnasia.
4. Appoint a chair for the DSA currency discussion.

yes I am. I'll just need a day or two to catch up with everything, but at least I've already taken care of our beloved map.

Comrade Lemur, welcome! You'll need the updates to the map, to change the Capitol's Factbook:
- Toka313
(and some others CTE'd I need to take out of the map)
+Royal Usha
+Hutertopia
+South Jarvis
+Herrebrugh
+Tomes
+Kujan-Bulak

also, tech issue: why don't I have the rights to move around and pin/unpin things at my Ministry?

question to our fellow SG: the scrutiny for the ammendments 40-41-42 has been runnning for a month already, without many comments in the last week. would it not be the case of closing it and starting a vote?

Hi everyone! :)
I just wanted to check in and get started. I was wondering how I start the auto-recruiter using my home computer? I was also thinking I should pick up where TPS left off with the World Fair coming up - where is that being worked on at this time? Is it in our forum somewhere or NSG perhaps? I look forward to working with you all again :D

@ Lemur Isles & Corujean: I just coincidentally noticed that Crito13 still exists and still resides here. One that did CTE just recently and is also on the map is Misertus.

@ Corujean: The reason you don't have permission to pin topics or move them around is that you need admin status to do these; only the PWAD and SG have admin status. They should be able to move things around per your request.

I'll fix the list now :P

But Suceavija, I don't think you need to be an admin to be able to pin/lock/move topics, you just need moderator status over a given forum. I'm able to do all that stuff in the MDA office :P

Oh, and welcome back to the Cabinet!

Welcome back to your old haunt, Suceavija. I'm eagerly anticipating getting the region back on the north side of 400 nations, and I think you're just the man for the job.

@Corujea
I have two quick updates I need to inform you of: Free World Alliance moved out of the region and the People's Socialism lost Charter status.
On the amendments, I'll talk to Haltari about it. If Haltari wants to continue pursuing the amendments, I'll see if we can get some final comments and hold a vote.
On admin powers, I can grant the MoRP group moderator status over the MoRP forum. On that last thought, Arcomo has noted that he and the other ambassadors have moderator privileges. (I'll try to get some more info on what limits there might be.) While I trust our current ambassadors, I want to bring that up right now.

@Suceavija
Welcome back to the Cabinet again. :ermm:
I've sent you a telegram to make arrangements on the auto-recruitment and I'll get you the MIRP's Google account.
The World Fair is headquartered on the Gameplay forum and I've already signed us up for a regional venue. If you telegram Escade, I'm certain she can catch you up.

@ Lemur Isles: Good to know about the moderators - and thank you!

@ Gervase: Thank you! I hope that I can be of help to the region to that extent!

@ Corujean: The map looks great! ;)

@ The Saint James Islands: Thank you? :P I got your telegram but I don't know anything about either tool or how to get them started on my home computer. I think I also should learn how to reboot the tool if necessary since my antivirus and windows seem to require a full shutdown of my computer every couple weeks for updates :/ I will be in need of your guidance and advice for this much; but then I should be good to go thereafter. I look forward to helping to boost our numbers!

Progress report & Questions:
- I have posted the first of my population updates in the RMB

- I have found the NS World Fair and I have TG'd Escade to request help with continuing the work on our booth. In case she ignores my inquiry, what does having a venue entail? Do I need to prepare a statement or is that already taken care of?

- Knowing that we are an Arnhelm Declaration Signatory, does anyone know if 'poaching' is illegal for me to do? What I mean by that is can I cherry pick regions that are of no strategic value to us (and certainly not other signatories) and personally contact potential recruits, or is that practice forbidden by the AD regardless? I would do this as time allowed above and beyond using the recruitment tool.

- Are my services still needed for reorganizing the Forum? I have about 2 weeks of available time to help with that before I become relatively inactive due to RL demands.
