Greetings, comrades of the Seventh Cabinet of the DSA!

Congratulations on being elected or reelected to your respective Cabinet positions and I look forward to working with all of you in this new cabinet. The issues below are what the cabinet will be deliberating on, and like in previous cabinets, these recommendations are simply what I would like the 7th Cabinet to discuss as its shared agenda. All of you are free to provide any feedback, ideas, or additional issues that you believe should be discussed by our cabinet.

For all new cabinet members, this meeting is designed to be a discussion of our region's issues as a whole and the various initiatives concerning each individual Cabinet member. Therefore, I recommend that all of you participate in this meeting at least once per meeting in order to keep the entire Cabinet informed of your various tasks, duties, and concerns. Each meeting, you will receive a small list of recommendations for your ministry to address, but you do not need to discuss all of your recommendations at once, as long as you get to each of them eventually. And with this statement, I officially open the 1st Cabinet Meeting of the 7th Cabinet.

1. Amendment #39: Total Revision of the Charter

2. Complete commendation for Grolsch

3. Review jobs offered in the 'Help Wanted' subforum (if you want an assistant for your ministry, post the job in the subforum)

4. NS Cultural Expo
I have not heard from the main nation about this in quite some time, but this is still a possibility.

5. Leftist Alliance (Continuation of IRALL)
I think this discussion should start all over again, possibly on the NS forum, to try to create a large leftist alliance, like what was proposed with the IRALL treaty.

6. International and Embassy Expansion
After some recent incidents, I think it is important to look for some new regions and approaching them about diplomatic relations. We already have one embassy (UDLS) on the way, but I would like to find some other new embassies.

7. Automated Welcoming Telegrams

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Items for individual ministries to address:

Secretary General (SG):
1. Along with me, encourage maximum participation for the Charter Revision so that it gets done.
2. Make sure everything is updated (Amendments, Charter nations, etc.)
3. Once the Charter Revision is finished, start a voting process for both the revision and the commendation for Grolsch.
4. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA):
1. Make embassy recommendations to P/WAD
2. Keep an eye on the UDLS. The embassy should be established soon.
3. Try to find new regions to potentially establish embassies with. Also, try to create some closer friendships and alliances with some of our existing embassies.
4. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Justice/Head of Supreme Court (MoJ):
1. Audit region for Civil Rights (CR), Political Freedoms (PF), and National Categories (NC) compliance
2. Make recommendations to P/WAD for nations to eject, if any
--I would like to eject as few nations as possible until Charter Amendment #39 is completed, but report all of the violators anyway.
--Last term, Ratateague and I would give extensions to improving nations in order to prevent ejections of nations that are trying to improve.
3. Contact Ratateague to familiarize yourself with the position

Minister of Immigration/Regional Promotion (MIRP):
1. Make sure the auto-telegram system is transferred and working properly.
2. Try to find more info about the NS Cultural Expo

Minister of Domestic Affairs (MDA):
1. Come up with new debate ideas.
2. Try to come up with a new contest or game, although we already have a lot at the moment.
3. Update all the information in the NS Wiki.
--There should not be too much to change. Mainly population and a few other minor details.
4. Update all the information in the DSA Capitol
5. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Cartography (MoC): (or interim MoC)
1. Verify all nations on map are:
--Existing
--Reside in the region (domestic puppets okay, too)
2. Add nations from map opt-in subforum who request placement on map
3. Essentially just keep the map current and updated
4. Contact The Saint James Islands to familiarize yourself with the position.

I don't know how I feel about TCU. Ritchardville posted some genuinene concerns on the RMB. However, the Union of Free Nations responded to my telegram saying they.are.very interested. They are one of the most promising regions I have seen.

I've had a remarkably busy weekend IRL, but I'll hopefully be getting to a compliance check quite soon. Happy U.S. Labor Day, everyone.

Is there any possible way we could use any of our recruiting tools to help the UPFS gain numbers? They now only have 17 regions and are becoming very inactive.

Not only would we be helping a comrade region, but certainly if we help them gain numbers, they will grow much closer to us than to TI. Casita is campaigning to close embassies with the UPFS if they don't close theirs with us. If we help them out, the wont close their embassy with us.

We can't afford to lose them.

I think that's a good idea, so Gervase could you tell them how to set up the auto-recruitment tool? That just might help. I think we should just open up some preliminary diplomatic relations with the Union of Free Nations then.

I am also very busy IRL this weekend, but this is just because of the 3-day weekend.

I see no problem with raising the limit to 30 percent. However I think we shouldn't raise the limit past this.

Regarding the embassy with the Versutian Federation, I support it fully. It'd be nice to have another embassy with a region that is democratic, and left-leaning.

The Cooperative Union sounds like a good region to pursue embassies with, however I do not know much about the region.

Lastly, the Union of Free Nations does sound promising, and they have 29.3 percent of nations in the prohibited category, so we could set up a embassy with them.

The VF is planning a large offensive to take back Coffee House. If we are interested in helping, we should propose an embassy now. If not, we should wait.

On the NS Expo, I did a little digging through the forum a few days back, but didn't bother to inform you of what came up. I ought do so now. (Warning: it is quite long, thus it is spoilered for your sanity.)

On the NS Expo

If you'd like a tl;dr: I doubt the expo is going to happen. Even its proposer doubts it'll happen.

@Terlibe In that case, I think we should wait. I don't think we need to help out Coffee House because they invasion is already over.

@The Saint James Islands Oh well. I was hoping to take part in that because we haven't done any expos in a while, but I guess we can just wait for the next one.

Also, I just wanted to get some opinions on implementing the automated welcoming telegram. There are some discussions on the Charter revision as well about adding that in.

I think the welcome telegram is a good idea, and that we should just come out and simply say "All are welcome to participate in the regional government, and highly urge the to sign the charter ASAP. That way I think if people are notified immediately then they will know to do it soon so the more serious nations can participate sooner.

Also, hi everyone!! :)
