Greetings, comrades of the Seventh Cabinet of the DSA!

Congratulations on being elected or reelected to your respective Cabinet positions and I look forward to working with all of you in this new cabinet. The issues below are what the cabinet will be deliberating on, and like in previous cabinets, these recommendations are simply what I would like the 7th Cabinet to discuss as its shared agenda. All of you are free to provide any feedback, ideas, or additional issues that you believe should be discussed by our cabinet.

For all new cabinet members, this meeting is designed to be a discussion of our region's issues as a whole and the various initiatives concerning each individual Cabinet member. Therefore, I recommend that all of you participate in this meeting at least once per meeting in order to keep the entire Cabinet informed of your various tasks, duties, and concerns. Each meeting, you will receive a small list of recommendations for your ministry to address, but you do not need to discuss all of your recommendations at once, as long as you get to each of them eventually. And with this statement, I officially open the 1st Cabinet Meeting of the 7th Cabinet.

1. Amendment #39: Total Revision of the Charter

2. Complete commendation for Grolsch

3. Review jobs offered in the 'Help Wanted' subforum (if you want an assistant for your ministry, post the job in the subforum)

4. NS Cultural Expo
I have not heard from the main nation about this in quite some time, but this is still a possibility.

5. Leftist Alliance (Continuation of IRALL)
I think this discussion should start all over again, possibly on the NS forum, to try to create a large leftist alliance, like what was proposed with the IRALL treaty.

6. International and Embassy Expansion
After some recent incidents, I think it is important to look for some new regions and approaching them about diplomatic relations. We already have one embassy (UDLS) on the way, but I would like to find some other new embassies.

7. Automated Welcoming Telegrams

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Items for individual ministries to address:

Secretary General (SG):
1. Along with me, encourage maximum participation for the Charter Revision so that it gets done.
2. Make sure everything is updated (Amendments, Charter nations, etc.)
3. Once the Charter Revision is finished, start a voting process for both the revision and the commendation for Grolsch.
4. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA):
1. Make embassy recommendations to P/WAD
2. Keep an eye on the UDLS. The embassy should be established soon.
3. Try to find new regions to potentially establish embassies with. Also, try to create some closer friendships and alliances with some of our existing embassies.
4. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Justice/Head of Supreme Court (MoJ):
1. Audit region for Civil Rights (CR), Political Freedoms (PF), and National Categories (NC) compliance
2. Make recommendations to P/WAD for nations to eject, if any
--I would like to eject as few nations as possible until Charter Amendment #39 is completed, but report all of the violators anyway.
--Last term, Ratateague and I would give extensions to improving nations in order to prevent ejections of nations that are trying to improve.
3. Contact Ratateague to familiarize yourself with the position

Minister of Immigration/Regional Promotion (MIRP):
1. Make sure the auto-telegram system is transferred and working properly.
2. Try to find more info about the NS Cultural Expo

Minister of Domestic Affairs (MDA):
1. Come up with new debate ideas.
2. Try to come up with a new contest or game, although we already have a lot at the moment.
3. Update all the information in the NS Wiki.
--There should not be too much to change. Mainly population and a few other minor details.
4. Update all the information in the DSA Capitol
5. Appoint an advisor, if desired

Minister of Cartography (MoC): (or interim MoC)
1. Verify all nations on map are:
--Existing
--Reside in the region (domestic puppets okay, too)
2. Add nations from map opt-in subforum who request placement on map
3. Essentially just keep the map current and updated
4. Contact The Saint James Islands to familiarize yourself with the position.

@TSJI Simply post your suggestions for the world fair here, so we can decide on what we are sending. Also, you could tg unibot to ask him about the world fair if you would like to know a bit more.

Also, regarding Suceavija, I think he will show up eventually, but more occasionally. The thing is that Cabinet meetings became much more important under my 3 cabinets, so back when he was president before me, most ministers only commented a few times during the entire term. For example, in the fourth cabinet, Suceavija only really commented 3 times during the entire cabinet meeting, and I only commented twice. Like I said, I'm sure he'll come eventually though.

Okay, then.

Also, I just lost my Internet connection in a fiery storm of BS. So auto-recruitment will be down and I won't be able to post the part of the proposal I have done until one of my two machines is back online. I'll telegram Gervase to see if he'll volunteer his computer temporarily and unibot to get more details about the World Fair. It'll take a while from my phone, but it's what I can do.

My computer is available. It'll take me a little bit to get things set up again, but we can go back online this evening with my computer.

It actually turns out that my computer is back online. The net was down in my entire home, but it was more temporarily then I thought. I do apologise for any inconvenience.

Sorry if I haven't been as attentive as I normally am lately; it's been a really busy couple of weeks. I rarely talk about my real self on NS, but since we're behind closed doors: I work for the Organization of American States in the area of international labor rights, and we had a preparatory conference of Ministers of Labor last week that I helped run. As you might imagine, it was lots of fun being at the big table at the front of the room and looking out over all the delegates behind their countries' nameplates, but preparing for it and carrying it out it kept me very busy. You can probably see why the mission of the DSA is close to my heart!

All that to say, I should be back on my MoJ duties more closely now that things have settled down. And if anyone wants to talk about the status of workers in the western hemisphere or ask what working for an international organization is like, go right ahead.

That's really cool, Gervase! I only have a very rough understanding of the OAS. In terms of labor issues in the western hemisphere, what is the general vibe there like?
What are some of the contentious disputes happening there currently about labor (if you're free to comment)?
To what extent does each nation have influence within the OAS? Does the USA set the agenda for it as well or is it more decentralized?

@ Terlibe: I am not too worried about Smartopia. I feel that anyone who wants to serve and can be trusted with the duties and privileges of a Cabinet position should be able to hold one at some point in their stay in the DSA. With that nation in particular, there have been a couple pretty bad RMB faux pas that would make winning an election rather difficult for them. I hope that it's just a misunderstood RP thing; but if that's the case he needs to do a better job at clarifying.
