Greetings, comrades of the Seventh Cabinet of the DSA! Congratulations on being elected or reelected to your respective Cabinet positions and I look forward to working with all of you in this new cabinet. The issues below are what the cabinet will be deliberating on, and like in previous cabinets, these recommendations are simply what I would like the 7th Cabinet to discuss as its shared agenda. All of you are free to provide any feedback, ideas, or additional issues that you believe should be discussed by our cabinet. For all new cabinet members, this meeting is designed to be a discussion of our region's issues as a whole and the various initiatives concerning each individual Cabinet member. Therefore, I recommend that all of you participate in this meeting at least once per meeting in order to keep the entire Cabinet informed of your various tasks, duties, and concerns. Each meeting, you will receive a small list of recommendations for your ministry to address, but you do not need to discuss all of your recommendations at once, as long as you get to each of them eventually. And with this statement, I officially open the 1st Cabinet Meeting of the 7th Cabinet. 3. Review jobs offered in the 'Help Wanted' subforum (if you want an assistant for your ministry, post the job in the subforum) 4. NS Cultural Expo I have not heard from the main nation about this in quite some time, but this is still a possibility. 5. Leftist Alliance (Continuation of IRALL) I think this discussion should start all over again, possibly on the NS forum, to try to create a large leftist alliance, like what was proposed with the IRALL treaty. 6. International and Embassy Expansion After some recent incidents, I think it is important to look for some new regions and approaching them about diplomatic relations. We already have one embassy (UDLS) on the way, but I would like to find some other new embassies. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items for individual ministries to address: Secretary General (SG): 1. Along with me, encourage maximum participation for the Charter Revision so that it gets done. 2. Make sure everything is updated (Amendments, Charter nations, etc.) 4. Appoint an advisor, if desired Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA): 1. Make embassy recommendations to P/WAD 3. Try to find new regions to potentially establish embassies with. Also, try to create some closer friendships and alliances with some of our existing embassies. 4. Appoint an advisor, if desired Minister of Justice/Head of Supreme Court (MoJ): 1. Audit region for Civil Rights (CR), Political Freedoms (PF), and National Categories (NC) compliance 2. Make recommendations to P/WAD for nations to eject, if any --I would like to eject as few nations as possible until Charter Amendment #39 is completed, but report all of the violators anyway. --Last term, Ratateague and I would give extensions to improving nations in order to prevent ejections of nations that are trying to improve. Minister of Immigration/Regional Promotion (MIRP): 2. Try to find more info about the NS Cultural Expo Minister of Domestic Affairs (MDA): 1. Come up with new debate ideas. 2. Try to come up with a new contest or game, although we already have a lot at the moment. 3. Update all the information in the NS Wiki. --There should not be too much to change. Mainly population and a few other minor details. 4. Update all the information in the DSA Capitol 5. Appoint an advisor, if desired Minister of Cartography (MoC): (or interim MoC) 1. Verify all nations on map are: --Existing --Reside in the region (domestic puppets okay, too) 2. Add nations from map opt-in subforum who request placement on map 3. Essentially just keep the map current and updated Edited by Haltari, 26 Sep 2013, 04:07.

Goodness, I really need to sit down and follow what's going on on the rmb. Anyways, regarding the Banished Zone telegram, I highly doubt he is a spy, and I don't think we should worry about that situation unless the need arises. |

The spy telegram is certainly interesting. The Banished Zone hasn't slipped significantly in terms of PF or CR, which contradicts the message. The whole thing does seem a little fishy to me, to be honest, but I think we should press the sender for a little more information about the Banished Zone in order to make a decision. |

Gervase, I would not be opposed to that. Also, a status update on my Ministry: Auto-recruitment has been down for a while now and I can't seem to get it back up. Edited by StJames, 11 Sep 2013, 19:48.

I just received this telegram from Grobladonia, and I share many of the same suspicions as him:
I think we need to seriously discuss Socialist Assembly Marxists because I feel as if he is greatly interfering with our region. I will allow him to share his opinions and post his messages because of free speech, but I really feel like he is continuing the entire TI dispute for way too long. Regarding Banished Zone, I will ask the sender for additional info because I don't entirely trust what he is saying is true. Regarding the auto-telegram system, would anyone like to volunteer as a back-up computer? It's definitely important to continue bringing more new nations into our region. I feel like Gervase could be a good back up because he did it in the past. |

Boy, this game is starting to get irritating... If people weren't making a big stink on our RMB... In re auto-telegram It is back up and running. We needn't a backup computer at this point in time. If it breaks down again, I will let you know. Haltari, I would also agree that Gervase is a capable candidate for the backup and he should have the client key for the system. I will keep in contact with Gervase in case a similar situation should happen in the future. In re Tekolan and Socialist Assembly Marxists I very much agree with Grobladonia, Tekolan and SAM are far too suspicious and I've had those suspicions myself for a while now. I don't quite know how we could approach this, though. I would think that we could ask them to join the WA to see how they respond and what happens, but that might (1) not give us any helpful information and (2) go against our regional policy of free association. Otherwise, I am truly and bloody well stumped. In re Banished Zone Haltari, if you could do a simple reply to his message, that would be nice. I don't want Gervase to actually have kittens this time, but it would be useful if all of us could see exactly what is going on. |

Regarding the auto-telegram, it's good that it's back up and running. I would be good to choose a backup bow rather than later. Regarding the "Marxist faction," I also don't really know what to do with them. Hopefully, nothing will really change. From what it looks like at the moment, Socialist Assembly Marxists and Tekolan aren't recruiting as much, and it seems that Marxists is even trying to start another discussion. It might just be a distraction though. Regarding Banished zone, I'll send a telegram to the original sender asking for more details, and I'll what he'll give us. |

When I logged in just now, I noticed this response from Stratum Inc after I asked about more information:
So I'm assuming Mr. Andrew is the person (or nation) behind Banished Zone, and from what it looks like, Stratum Inc had some kind of argument with that nation in the past. As a result, I feel as if this might be just revenge, but it could also be entirely sincere. It is also very suspicious that he won't give us any information. I will send another telegram to try to find out some more information, but that could be a bit difficult. Without any evidence though, we can't do anything about Banished Zone. From what it looks like, Banished Zone also isn't doing anything out of the ordinary and isn't decreasing in his CR and PF, so we definitely cannot do anything based on anything that Banished Zone is doing. |
