Anyone here ever take the MBTI test?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator classifies you under one of the 16 "personality types" based on your answers to a series of questions. You can take the test here.

Once you've taken the test and got your result, you might want to check out this website to see what famous people have the same type as you.

I realize that you can't really classify a person like that, "we're all individuals" and whatnot, but it's interesting to see what it says about you, and it'll be fun to see what you guys all got :P

So what was your result, and what famous people share your type?

My result: INFP (Introverted iNtuition Feeling Perceiving)- The Idealist

Some facts about this type:
  • Idiosyncratic dreamers with strong imaginations
  • Strongly linked to the Avoidant personality
  • Somewhat linked to the Dependent, Histrionic and Negativistic personalities
  • More common in women than in men
  • Repress their Extroverted Thinking function, meaning they sometimes preserve their own opinion in the face of facts and evidence to the contrary
I guess that kind of describes me XD

I'm quite idealistic, and it is very hard to sway my opinion. However, I hate and avoid conflict, so I'm non-confrontational, and can often bend to peoples' will. I also daydream a lot, and I'm quite disorganised.

Here's some celebrities who have the same type I do:

Jean-Jacques Rousseau, George Orwell, C.S. Lewis, Virginia Woolf, John Kerry, J.K. Rowling, Homer, Edgar Allan Poe, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Andrew Garfield, H.P. Lovecraft, Harper Lee, James Joyce, Vincent van Gogh, William Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Neil Gaiman.

A lot of writers to live up to there :P

INTP (Introverted, Intuition, Thinking, Percieving)

About INTPs:
Amongst the types with the highest average IQ
Strongly linked to the Schizotypal personality
Repress their Extroverted Feeling function, meaning that they may irrationally submit to certain conventions in a suspension of their usual critical analysis

I'd say this is exactly what I would have predicted. The only thing is that with people I know, I'm extremely extroverted. The Northeast and Aeoliland can attest to that!

Some famous people like that:

Abraham Lincoln
Albert Einstein
Charles Darwin
John Locke
Richard Dawkins
Marie Curie
Milton Friedman
Immanuel Kant

Sherlock Holmes, Albus Dumbledore, Data (from star trek) ;)

I took that test a few days ago and it seems like I am an INTP. The result is not 100% accurate aince I answered many questions without actually thinking about them properly.

ENTJ
Extravert(11%) iNtuitive(88%) Thinking(25%) Judging(22%)

You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (11%)
You have strong preference of Intuition over Sensing (88%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (22%)

Not sure what to say about this. Especially the slight preference for extraversion took me by surprise, but would be in line with my most recent observations of myself.

Not sure where everyone got the "About" thingys :P. I couldn't find it on the site.

EDIT:
About ENTJs

No-nonsense, efficient organizers with a flair for strategic optimization
Strongly linked to the Compulsive personality
Somewhat linked to the Sadistic personality
More common in men than in women
Repress their Introverted Feeling function, meaning they sometimes forget what is important to them

Yeah, introverted and extraverted don't necessarily mean what people think, you could have a shy extravert, or a sociable introvert. The difference is that extraverts 'gain energy' from social situations whereas introverts feel drained :P
