I'm a bit sceptical about that. While it may have some truth for the individual about individual habbits, as a whole, I'm more inclined to lean to the nuture side of the argument.

Also, about the debate that seems to have branched out about who influences you the most. Well, in a way, both sides are right.
Some people believe that there are two periods of "influence" that people go through. The first, Primary Socialization, is where we learn the very foundations of our culture, and how to act in accordance to our society. This usually takes place in the home, and involves family and close family friends. Considering it is from this that we build on at later stages of life, it's easily arguable that this is the most important part of Socialization. It can also have the most diastrous effects when either corrupted, or not present at all.
Now, while most people agree on the concept of Primary Socialization for the most part, Secondary Socialization is a tad more debatable. To keep it fairly simple, in most first world countries, this starts as the child enters full time education. It is then the main agency of socialization (the influencers) shifts from just the family, to a myriad of other agencies. These including peer groups (friends), the school, the mass media, the government, and religious influences. Each group of thinkers has a different idea of how this influences us. Functionalists believe that it is this that causes society to...well, function. Marxists believe that it leads to a society that in which the Bourgeoisie (the rich) dominate, while Feminisits believe that it leads to a Male dominated society.

Keep in mind that this was a generalization, but that gives a rough outline of what I believe.

I don't think it's neccesarily your genetic code that makes you like your parents, I think it's more about being around your parents and subconciously copying their behavior whether you want to or not.

I'm not so sure. If you watch a show like "Find My Family", the orphaned children have very similar personalities to their birth parents.

It's very easy to see what you want to see to prove an argument. Also, shows tend not to always be completely unbiased :P

There were these twin brothers who had never met who had the same car, same type of picket fence, and even wives with the same first names. I only wish I could remember the name of the study done on them ;_;

I personally think it's just how you are raised, where, what events took place.. genes have nothing to do with it.. maybe if your a certain race and people are racist towards you that could cause anger with genes.

I don't think genes have such a great matter when it comes to people's behaviour. In my mature opinion, you choose what you wanna be and nobody else can make that choice for you, so choose it right !

There is no definitive proof on this issue. There's evidence, but no proof :P
