Hauppauge HD PVR

My Hauppauge HD PVR came in yesterday, if you don't know it's an HD Recorder. It records in HD to your computer using components (I would have prefferred HDMI, but apparently that hasn't been invented yet). I set it up and everything, installed all the software. Now heres my question.

When I stream the Hauppauge the video and Audio sync up perfectly and there is no lagging. Same with recording, the preview has no lag and the audio and video syncs up perfectly.

But when I play the output video, it lags like hell and the video just goes more and more off sync. I'm using the software that came with the Hauppauge, and that's Arcsoft Total Media Extreme.

I've tried playing around with the settings and nothing changes the problem I have. What could be wrong with it? I'd like to know because I spent a good $300 on this thing.

I got my eyes on you.
Man, I have no idea. D: I even did a quick Google search but couldn't find any decent troubleshooting results. >.< Sorry I can't help you.

I guess the solution would be to use a Screen Recording program like Cam Studio. That's gonna be terrible.

*sigh*
