Personally, I think that if a dog attacks a little girl you should have them put down. I have a few friends who don't agree with me. But I would love to hear what you think.

I got my eyes on you.
I think it depends on the situation. If the kid provoked the dog, then you can't put all the blame on it.

But if the dog did it for no reason, then it's sort of an iffy matter. I don't like the idea of the 'death penalty', in any situation.

Well, he did it for no reason and it was his third attack on against a human. That's why I asked. We already put him down, but it made me cry. He never attacked anyone who lived here, just everyone else. But we didn't really have a choice because if someone pressed charges we would be in a lot of trouble and they would kill him anyway. So yeah, fun weekend.

I cant say I agree with putting it down but at least it wasnt one of those cases where all it did was bite someone who provoked it and then had to put it down because the parent was calling for blood.

If a girl attacks a dog, should she be put down? The girl also knows better, so doesn't that make it worse?

If it is a mean dog, yes if it is a nice dog no. My friend was bitten by his dog on the face, but see the dog is afraid of lightning and my friend wouldn't stop bothering him while the dog was freaking out. So by accident he bit him, and he was maybe 11?

Its a sticky situation; but when there is a chance that the dog will attack again - putting a human life in danger... I would agree that the dog/animal should be put down. I guess its all about priorities; society and we, as humans value human life above that of other creatures. Its sad when an animal is put down though :( And they do that a lot. I heard that Pets Paradise used to be in a lot of trouble, because they would put down all of the animals they couldn't sell. So now they hardly have any in their windows.

However sad it is I think a dog should be put down if it attacks a human because it's more than likely to happen again.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
