Well, I kinda have a crush on a friend of mine, but I'm not really sure how to tell him. The last time I admitted something like that to someone was via MySpace, but since then I've learned that it was a bad idea. So, I'm wondering what the best way to tell somebody is. Is it simply confronting them and saying "I like you", or are there ways to ease into it. Is it best in person, or via TXT/Social Networking/letter writing. I dunno how would you react if somebody said that to you? The main thing that's putting me off telling him is that he is my friend and I don't want to ruin the friendship in the process. Having said that I still kinda want a boyfriend. =/ So yeah... that's about all I have to say. Comments? Oh yeah, and I may be seeing him later in the week with some other friends, so depending on my confidence, I might tell him then, if I get a moment alone with him...

You can just tell me  Well since I am a guy, I can tell you, its a bit more awkward when the girl starts the relationship (she asks the guy out). But if you are confident, and this friend likes you, he should say yes. Don't make him decide in front of his friends, that only makes it harder and more embarrassing. As for what you say...you could just plain out say 'I like you' Or you could ask him, 'will you be my boyfriend? I really like you' or something along the lines of that. |

I don't think it should automatically be the guy's job to ask a girl out. I don't see anything wrong with a girl doing the asking. In fact, I wish more girls would ask guys out so I could get a date even with my Asp condition. |

I remember a while back there was this girl who liked me but she got a friend to talk to me and see what I though. I remember I told the friend that I'd do it if she came over herself and asked me face to face. I think confidence is really important. If you're confidence in yourself is absolute then it's hard to say no. I know because if you take a good hard look around almost all of the really confident people you know are likely to be in relationships. I know it can be really hard to get into a place where you're confident like that, but it would probably help. |

See, I've got a mindset like that. I don't want somebody asking someone out for me. If I want to go out with him, it's my responsibility to ask. But yeah, we'll see what happens.
