So, with the demotion of Azsxdc and the clear growth in the forum, Dashing is looking for some new staff members. Because there are so many great choices, I'm going to have some moderator applications, to see who wants the job and who may be good for the job. First and foremost, please have at least 75 posts and be a member for over a month. We want our moderators to be familiarised throughout the forum. Next, you'll have to fill in an application form. This will act as a test of sorts, to see who is best for the job. This will be done via PM. If you would like to take the test, PM me and I will send it to you. Then, PM your responses back to me. Don't be skimpy on your responses! This is serious business. You have until July 25th to get your applications in, so be quick! The new moderators will be promoted and announced on July 26th. So, good luck to all those who enter. |

Well, he went inactive, so he got demoted. Then he PMed me saying that he no longer wanted to be part of Dashing and requested his account be deleted. ...so it was. And that's the end of the story.  He would have been monkey food if he didn't leave.--- Oh yeah, and just a note. If anybody wants to resubmit their test, just reply to the PM again with the test filled out again. The Results Are In! The new moderators are Cubemaster54, Richjohnny and Balooneybob. Thanks to everyone for entering. Why were they chosen? Cubemaster54: Cube's application was the most outstanding of the submissions. The point that put him above everybody else was his responses to the second-last question. This question was designed to see how creative you could be in thinking up ways for us to improve. Cube was the only one to answer with something besides 'the current staff maintenance is fine'. After all, if the current maintenance was fine, why would be need more moderators? He also had the credentials of being an active member. Balooneybob: Hannah seemed to be very enthusiastic about becoming a moderator, which was shown in her application. Her responses were the longest and most detailed of any of the other submissions. She also had the credentials of being an active member and part of the 'Exclusives' group. Her major downfall was her slight misinterpretation of a moderator's responsibilities, which can be improved with some mentoring.  Richjohnny: Johnny gave a very nice application as well, not to mention he also had the credentials of being a moderator at the old forum. Unlike Hannah, he seemed to have a strong grasp of a moderators responsibilities. He also gave an attempt at the second-last question, like Cube, but wasn't quite as effective with it. His major downfall was the simply that he has not been 'as' active at the new board as he was at the old one, though he seems to have become active again, which is a plus. So, there are the results! There are the justifications! To those who didn't get chosen, I'll personally PM you about your pros and cons in your submissions if you wish. Edited by fantanoice, Jul 26 2009, 02:32:56 AM.
