So I posted this on another forum and like to know everyone opinions about this here. "So I was listening to the radio on my way home from school half asleep and this girl calls in with a problem. Shes been dating this guy for 2 months and so this one night they are out at a club. She was hoping that they could go back to her place and a little something would go down until the guy say that hes a virgin. Now shes unsure what to do. My question is why is that a bad thing? I think she's looking for some that already knows how to play not someone that doesn't know how to do it. Shouldn't really be a relationship killer. Maybe from the ages 21-31 it would matter, but after or before it shouldn't(sort of). I'm still a virgin and 16, but I have had open chances to lose it. |

Relationship killer? Mmm, probably not. If they're one of those 'no-sex-until-marriage' guys, than it's somewhat reasonable. I'm surprised its the guy that's the virgin though. |

Irrelevant in my opinion. It's something that should happen when the time is right with the right person, not a label strived to get off of yourself. I'm 28, lost mine at 19, but am still with the same woman I lost it to. |

Agreed! Congrats on still dating her! (thats what? At least 10 years?) Im 14, never anything. But, I can wait until the right person. Even if it means a few more years. I often think about having a girlfriend and what its like, but I probably won't know at least for another year (my mom has a thing about us kids not dating until 16, my sister couldn't and I can't. At least not like going on dates. I dont really know). |

Nothing wrong with it at all. The problem the girl has, I'm sure, is she probably likes the guy; but if he's not good in bed; may not want to be with him. And not want to hurt his feelings. People make such a big deal about sex and whether you've had it or not. It's really none of anyone's business whether you're a virgin or not. That's your private life. And just because you've never had it doesn't make you a loser. Maybe you just don't want sex at the moment because you're too busy with school or your job and you don't want even a slight chance of being burdoned with a baby(condoms are not 100% effective). And the media certainly doesn't help. All these movies and TV shows are always sex, sex, sex, that's all anyone ever talks about. I get tired of hearing about sex all the time, though you probably wouldn't expect someone like me to say that

I'm 18 and still one. Not ashamed of it despite what my non virgin friends think. I'm just not worried about it now, no rush. If it happens then woohoo, if it doesn't happen before I'm in my late 30's then somethings wrong. |

I dont think there is anything wrong with it. If you choose to wait for the right person or for marriage more power to you. Personally I dont understand how people can do it if they dont love that person. |
