Please post what it is you want out of the guild here, or if you are not wanting to post your expectations for everyone to see you can PM them to myself. With Cataclysm on the horizon guilds are going to become a more important part of WOW then ever before. Guilds will level and have unique talents and recipes and heirloom items (if I heard correctly) of their own. Guilds of medium size such as ours will have the same opportunities as the guilds with a larger player base as the top 20 players will contribute to the experience pool for the day. That being said I believe that now is a good time to lay the foundation for the guild identity that we, as a collective group of players, want to have our guild stand for. So below will contain my own vision of what it is that I desire, but that does not mean that my vision is the final vision of what our guild will be. It's just my desires as a player. 1) To understand what it is that I like to do in WOW means simply that I am a self professed Achievement Whore. I will do anything in the game that will give me more achievement points. For me the achievement system is this big checklist of things to do in WOW. Some are easy for me to do by myself while others are hard and require a lot of prep time, and then there are others that are just time consuming. (aka Hero of the Zandalar...I will get that one.) This is why I don't spend much time on either my Paladin or Rogue as I always have something to do. 2) My goal in this current expansion is to watch the Lich King die before Cataclysm comes in. In the entire time I have been playing WOW I have never been able to see end game content. I want to see this content while it is still current and epic feeling. I don't need to be server first or anything like that...even if I get him the night before the next expansion. I just want to get him before my level cap exceeds the target level for the instance. 3) I am a husband and father and therefore understand that WOW is not life or a job. It shouldn't feel like a job and therefore I want to avoid a "you must be here when scheduled" type atmosphere at all costs. Most people already play more than enough time that they shouldn't feel that on top of what they do they need to spend 15 hours a week on top of that just to participate in guild events (whether it be guild PVP or raids). There are enough of these guilds already that I don't think our server needs another. So that is my vision of things and how and where I like to spend my play time. My hope is that with knowing what everyone wants to get out of a guild and how they wish to spend their play time we can build a successful guild where everyone feels like they can contribute in some manner.
