Ba dum - pish! Posts: 143 Group: Battlefield Captain Member #2 Joined: Dec 25, 2008	This battle would be fairly straightforward for Condra if it wasn't for the pillars. The could effectively control the wooden structure with her fire, provided that she knew where her enemies were coming from. She might even be able to fend them both off at once by setting the perimeter aflame, and keeping the fire in check so as not the destroy the structure. Yet, the pillars complicated things. They blocked line of sight. They weren't that thick, yet they provided cover from ranged attacks and hiding spots for a stealthy foe. The hard packed dirt made no noise of Condra padded over it, her rough leather shoes leaving faint traces of her passage. Her enemies hesitance to strike at her was beginning to work in her favor. The flame on her left hand had begun to grow, doubling in size with a crackling hiss. It snaked down from the tips of her fingers to her palm, leaving behind a thin wall of fire as it went. Her hand was quickly coated in a glove of burning gas. She redirected the burning parcel on her sword back to the hilt, reaching up with one finger and touching the middle portion of the blade, the fire on her finger parting and letting her test its heat. It was hot, not hot enough to allow the sword to bend, but hot enough to cause more pain and small burns. Condra slipped around a stone pillar, crossed the few more yards to the wooden platform and then stepped up, the old structure creaking as her feet hit the floor. Still moving at a leisurely pace, she stalked into the center of the gazebo. There was one tense moment when the one eyed man was out of her view, behind a pillar, but it quickly passed. From her new vantage point she could see both of her enemies, including the one who had moved closer. A closer target? Lovely. The fire mage would wait a bit longer, building up more power and then striking at Corem. He was close, and easy target for the barrage of flame that would soon be coming his way.
