"I'd rather remain nameless...for once you've won again, I shall be easily forgotten..." He offered drawing out his sword, not moving any further. He took note that his back was to the wall. This meant two things from his perspective. One was that he would not have to worry about opponents attacking from behind him. However, the second point was more dangerous, knowing that Condra used magic, giving her an advantage of range. This meant he had one less direction to dodge in, and seeing that dodging attacks, rather than accepting them, was his specialty, if he had any. The other opponent, who appeared to be weaponless must either be a magic user, or have somehow concealed his weapons. He was more dangerous than Condra inherently, despite what he had said earlier about her gaining another victory. You will never know the full potential of your opponents in till you fight them at full strength. He had done so against Condra previously, but it was his failure to adapt that caused his downfall, not necessarily his strength. Would he be acrobatic enough to dodge two attacks at once? Would the third party get in the way? He had no intention of repeating his mistakes, and he knew what to expect from Condra if he attacked her. She was confidant in her armor, in her skills. However the third opponent, could do anything. This uncertainty made things even more complex. In short, if he attacked him that brought out one other question. Would Condra wait for them to exhaust themselves, and perhaps stay at a distance with fire, or would she use her sword to finish one of them off and proceed to the next? This was the ultimate question of the entire tournament. Now if they attacked each other first...what would he be able to do? If a long range battle came upon them, then he was certain that he would get caught in the middle of it. He could dodge attacks yes, but not forever. He had exhausted himself too much during the last match. He would have to wait and see. There was no way he would even try to start the second round. All odds were against him. He was certain to fail. |
