Ba dum - pish!
(Come on man, you dodged the fire, which involves stepping to one side or another, and then I stabbed at your chest. If you're going to avoid every single one of my attacks, please at least include them in your post. And as a general tip, if you didn't say that you were keeping low to the ground in the post that I reacted to, then you weren't low to the ground)

The man was there, then he wasn't. The fire hissed and crackled as it struck the ground. It surged forwards, searching for something to light and burn on. With a crackle of glee, it found a young stalk of corn. Green, tall, flammable. It burned upwards, lighting on the thin stalk and then being suddenly pulled away. The fire complained as Condra grabbed it from its prey and then formed around her left hand. It complained, and then she gave it a sharp look. It was silent.

The one eyed man had...run past her? It was a blur. The fire missed, her sword struck against air, and then her was gone. Somehow, he had managed to slip by fire and steel and then arrive at the circle of dirt once more. And he still had his robe. Fire against naked skin was more deadly then fire against a robe. Robes could be discarded. Skin could burn.

Condra spun on her heel, sword out in front of her and pushed through the corn. The fire had begun to spread. Many stalks had turned black and the ground had a fine layer of soot over the dirt. Wonderful. She might not be hurting her enemies, but the situation couldn't be any better. Her left arm stretched out, calling the fire away from its meal. These ones came faster, they had spent more time with her, they knew her. The fire in the corn slowly died as she walked through it, pulling the flames onto her arm, giving them another home.

Then she stepped into the clearing. Her arm shimmered in its thick coating of flame. The one eyed man was talking. He had someone managed to run straight past the winged man as well. With such speed, he must be tired. His jaunt through the flames and his sprint past his foes. No man, not even one as fast as him, could be in peak condition after that. The warrior mage's fingers twitched. She wanted to run after him, to sink her blade into her skin, but the winged man was between her and him. She took a step back. Better to stay in her own burning turf then to be in the open.

Quietly, Condra stalked through the corn around the circle.
