(Just as some friendly advice, if you're more specific about your movements and attacks, then its harder for me to exploit your movements by interpreting them wrong. Saying that you slash your sword at my side could mean a lot of things, but choosing specific targets and body parts that you're moving is a lot better) (Will, I was posting as you posted yourself, but Condra would be unaffected by the flair as she's not looking in your direction. Also, Rival is now pretty deep in the cornfield. As you're in the corn too, it would be near impossible for you to see him) The man retreated. Wonderful. Condra feared no flame that she could see, as she had direct control over all that was close enough to burn her. Her skin was also almost impossible to scorch. Truly, the man had not made a mistake by charging her, but he had made a mistake by moving into the corn. On the hard packed dirt, her fire abilities served as artillery and a boost to her fist fighting. Yet in the corn, they allowed her to turn the terrain into a field of death. As her foe vanished into the corn, Condra turned her body and followed. She pushed aside the fire with her mind, clearing a path for her through the blazing inferno. The fire, being feisty, tried to lick against her skin and burn her. She turned it away, whispering quiet thoughts to it. It obeyed. It always did. Condra's feet picked up pace, her body moving into a run. Her foe's footprints were visible in the loose farming soil. Her sword was at her side, ready to stab out. Then there he was. His own blade was cutting his sash in two, the blade angled downwards. The fire in the corn was too far her to use against him. Her left hand sparked and filled with dancing flame, and her arm shot out, throwing the burning parcel at his chest. He could dodge easily by jumping to either side. After the fire leaped from her fingers, she lunged with her sword at his chest once more. If he dodged the initial fire attack, she would turn her sword in time to strike him after he moved. Jumping to avoid an attack twice in a row was a difficult feat. |
