(What hand is your sword in? I'm guessing its your right for my post) Only a fool would leave their eyes open upon seeing the orbs. Condra right eye squeezed shut as the flare went off, protecting it from the light. Her other eye could not see the orbs, and was thus not effected. As the light faded away, she saw the one eyed man switching his eye patch from eye to eye. So he had two working ones after all. His maneuver had protected him from the flare, but created a gaping weakness for him as well. With his eye under a patch for so long, the sudden exposure to the noon sun would leave him momentarily blinded, and it would take time for his eye to adjust back to the light. His sudden charge at her was a foolish move as well. With his eye adjusting to the light, it would have been better for him to wait until he could see properly. He was fast, that was for sure, but that was his downfall now. As he approached, Condra stepped back on her left foot and placed her own sword between her and her foe. He was wielding a longsword, and while she wasn't sure of the exact length, most of them were around three feet in length, same as her blade. Condra's sword hand sparked as ball of fire sprouted from her fingers. It leaped onto her cross guard and then onto the blade of her sword, stopping a foot away from her hand. Then the man was upon her. He swung his sword in a deadly arc towards her chest which was facing at the corn. As he began his swing, she stepped towards him on her left foot and stabbed out at his unprotected stomach with her own sword. The bottom on his blade hit against her armor, cutting through the leather and then stopping at the chain links underneath. Leather worked wonders on slashing attacks, and it had caused his sword to lose enough momentum to be stopped by the steel links of her shirt. She would feel that strike later, and it had already begun to bruise, but it had caused no terrible damage. As Condra's blade darted forwards, the fire leaped from the steel and whistled towards her enemy's upper chest. Dodging backwards would be useless as he would still be scorched, and stepping to her right would trap his blade against her body. A simple attack, yet a restricting one. Perfect. |
