James took his time today. He was walking to the bar again from home, and the day was young. The bar seemed to be a very popular place, good drinks, good... well OK people, and it has the mission board. Having never gone on a mission before James wanted to look for an easy one. The bar had to be one of his favorite places, mostly because of the drinks though, he spent most of his time there, talking to the usual bartender, but last time he was here he actually spent his time talking to an attractive girl... her name was Rayne.... he thought. James laughed at himself and walked into the bar. The usual smell of alchohal and food filled him and a smile crossed his face. James looked to the bartender and waved, she smiled and started on his drink; It would seem she knew him too well how, and he walked to the bar. The drink was place infront of him as he got close and he dug through his pocket pulling out his wallet, and placing a card down on the counter, he paid and the bartender nodded "Thank you," James nodded and walked over to the Mission board. The small cork board was nailed into the wall. Several mission were pinned to it on different types of paper. he scanned over each one, wondering what seemed good for him to take....

Uri yawns and makes her way into a noisy bar god knows where... She didn't know what day it was, let alone what town she was in. She curses her bad directional skills and her inabilty to read a map... If only she had the money to spend on anything high powered that would actually help her though. She brushes back a few stray strands of black hair that had escaped her pony tail. The bangs over her right eye are longer than over her left, covering that half of her face and dyed a deep red; the same red that was dyed under the layer of her natural black hair in the back. She looks around at the crowded bar, not really knowing what to do. She sees a cork board over by the wall filled with flyers. 'Hmm.. maybe I could find out where I am...' She walks over sleepily. She hadn't been sleeping well lately, living out on the streets was tougher than she thought in such a big city. She rubs her eyes, noticing that a lot of people were looking at her weirdly. She looks down at herself, she hadn't dressed too weird today. She was wearing her favorite black track jacket, unzipped, with the right sleeve rolled up. Of course her slinky was there from where the jacket ended to her knuckles. Her lime green t-shirt underneith might be attracting the attention, but it really wasn't that bad. Even if it did clash with the hot pink striped salks she was wearing under her black boots. They only showed a little between the top of the boot and the bottom of her capris. Uri shakes her head, not really caring what they thought of her. She didn't need their approval of how she dressed or acted. She looks up at the flyers, looking for some clue as to where she is and where that god forsaken school of Magi's is. "Damn... these aren't maps... How the hell am I supposed to find this school, if there aren't any maps to it?" She grumbles softly. Edited by QueenDeka, Jun 23 2010, 03:29 PM.

James stood in front of the cork board, all the mission just sitting there, it did not seem like any of these people cared about going on missions. That did not bother him one bit, it just meant that he could get a better mission for himself. He sat there and began to read the missions again trying to figure out which would be best for him to take. He snickered to himself when he heard a voice from beside him... "Damn... these aren't maps..." A girl in slightly stranger clothing than James was used to seeing stood there beside him. She had one sleeve rolled up, and a coil wrapped around her arm down to her wrist, a lime green undershirt, and neon pink, striped socks. They way she dressed actually reminded him of the city at night, he smiled. "You seem a bit lost there," he laughed, and held his hand out to the woman. "I'm James." He gave a friendly smile. With the way she dressed she seemed like an interesting person, and interesting people usually make some of the best friends he has found out from past experience. He examined the girl again hoping that she was kind to him, he looked to her eyes, violet almost red in color. People say the windows are the eye to the soul if that was true, this woman's soul would look to be on fire. |

'Great... you promised Nik you were going to find this damn school... He should have KNOWN that you were bad with directions and been more specific!' She starts to turn to walk away, maybe find a police officer or something. "You seem a bit lost there." A man's voice broke through her mental cursing. "I'm James." As Uri turned, the man who was talking to her held out his hand. He smiled at her warmly, obviously trying to be friendly. Before putting her hand in his, she took a few seconds to look this stranger over. He didn't seem like he was up to anything, not that she was worried. She pushed her slinky up over her thumb so her right hand was free and shook his hand. "Eh... I'm always lost. I'm Uri." She says with a shrug. She had gotten used to not knowing where she was... but this time she had something she needed to do. "Where exactly... am I?" |

"Eh... I'm always lost. I'm Uri.Where exactly... am I?" She sighed and took his hand. He laughed lightly, and nodded "It's alright, Dalion can some times be a bit confusing." he said, his friendly smile still burning. "Right now though you are in the Mission bar, as most call it, the real name is the Tavern." Uri seemed like a really nice person, a bit forward on things, and she was a bit fiery. On top of all that though she seemed to easily get lost. 'A magi i see, she might be useful on a mission.' he thought to himself. "If you want i have a map, I could show you to the school, its not that far." he offered. "it wouldn't be a problem at all." he was a really nice guy, really one to show off as well when he could. "Eh!? Really? You'd take me to the school? It's really that close? Shit... I thought I was going to be lost forever..." She exclaims a little too loudly out of excitement. The Tavern's noise lowers as people turn to stare at her. Uri shrugs their exasperation off, looking over this guy... James? She slips the slinky back over her thumb and puts her hands in the pockets of her track jacket. 'What could this guy really do to me besides get me more lost... I'm used to that so...' She gives him a little smile. "That would be awesome." |

James laughed, the girl, Uri seemed a bit happy that he agreed to take her to the school. With her loud expression the bar was silenced for a moment before she shrugged it off, and they went back to drinking. James, still with his drink in his hand smiled, then downed his drink. He pulled back from it when he finished and put a hand to his mouth his eyes closed in pain, forgetting he drink was still hot. "GAH!" he gasped and shook his head. "Damn that was not a good idea" he groaned and sighed. "but right," he soughed "to the Magi school." James walked to the Tavern's door, checking his back to make sure his long blade still held its place there. He smiled to Uri and opened the door waiting for her. |

Uri supresses a laugh at the poor guy for burning his mouth on his drink. He had been nice to her so far, it would be rude to laugh at his injury. He smiles at her as he walks to the door of the bar and opens the door for her. 'A gentleman too huh?' She walks out of the Tavern and onto the streets of Dalion. The place was huge, she didn't know how people could ever find their way around here without being lost. 'If the school is here, how am I ever going to survive?' She shakes her head and looks both ways on the sidewalk, wondering which direction the school was. She wasn't perticularly happy about going to a place with all of the kinds of people she hated, but she had made a promise... "Where to?" She asks, truning to her guide. |

James smiled as he watched Uri exit through the door. She shook her head and looked around, she didn't look very happy to him. James walked out behind her the door closing behind them. "Where to?" She asks, turning around to look at him. James nodded and reached into his pocket, digging around for a sec, and pulling out a small cylinder. he pressed the cylinder in, then pulled it apart, a thin electronic screen connected the two halves now, and lines appeared, with a small flashing dot one one side of it. It looked like a fancy GPS and it was, it was a special map he acquired from a shop, thought it only shows the lay out o the city. "Right so we are going to the magic school" he said and the dot on the screen moved making a line from where it was at first moving to a building. "OK, it looks like it is just this way" he said and closed the map pointing to the right, "i would say it is around a 15 minute walk, so it's not that far like i said." he laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, placing the tube map back into his pocket. He nodded to her and started to walk. |

Uri looked in amazement at the high tech GPS unit he carried. It flashed and pointed in the direction of the thing he SAID he wanted. 'Wow, this guy must be loaded! That's what I need!' "OK, it looks like it is just this way" he said and closed the map pointing to the right, "i would say it is around a 15 minute walk, so it's not that far like i said." He puts the GPS back in his pocket an starts to walk. Uri shakes her head and follows after him, not wanting to get lost again. "Where did you get that thing?" She asks, talking about the GPS. "That's what I need, I am always getting lost and paper maps never help me. My teacher always called me hopeless." She says with a laugh. At the mention of her teacher though, she could feel her chest clench up. It had only been 2 months since he had passed away, it still was weird for her to think of him as gone. Lost in her thoughts, she walks into a man who also wasn't paying attention to where he was going. She stumbles back, but the man falls onto his butt on the pavement. Uri looks down at him, raising an eyebrow in question. "S... sorry!" The man says quickly and pushes himself back up onto his feet. |
