Show Title: AMC: New Beginnings
Character/Actor: Val Malone (Matthew Ashford)
Scene: Episode 18 (May 13, 2008)

Kelsey is already in her office at WRCW working on the script for the next show. Val comes barreling in late and almost knocks over a table, creating a ruckus. Kelsey just laughs when she hears Val apologizing. Val comes by Kelsey’s office on his way to the studio finally. Kelsey yells at him to come in. Val comes in and sits down.

“So what’s on for today?” Val asks.

“Same old same old. Nothing new.” Kelsey says.

“So what’s up then?”

“How would you feel about getting closer to our friend Alfred and see what you can find out from him about Skye Chandler and Weyland-Yutani?”

“That depends on what you mean by get closer?”

“What do you think it means? Get close to him. Ask him out. See what he tells you.”

“There’s only one thing wrong with that. I am not gay and I don’t think Alfred is either.”

“You’re not gay? Sorry I just assumed,” she says looking at Val.

“What does that mean?”

“Nothing. Just forget about it. Are you sure that Alfred isn’t?”

“Well not from what I learned looking at some stuff at the library late last night. He has had several dates and romances over the years including a long infatuation with Liza Colby who used to own WRCW.”

“Interesting.”

“I guess you will be the one getting close to Alfred to see what info you can find out.”

“We’ll see. Have you seen Diana around this morning?”

“No but I can try to find her for you.”

“That would be great. Tell her to come to see me and bring the report she has compiled on Weyland-Yutani with her.”

Val stands up and works to deepen his voice. “Yes ma’am I will.”

Kelsey just grins as Val walks out – trying to walk as macho as he can.
