These lines keep appearing on my screen, and I have no idea why.

At first it was just one, then two days ago a second one appeared, and now a third one has showed up and it's really starting to irritate me.

Does anyone know what may be causing it, and if it can be fixed?

They're solid lines, but the color is not the same through out, they're around the center of the screen, and they won't go away. I've tried shutting off the computer and taking out the battery and all that stuff but they're still there.

I had the exact same problem a few mounts ago. A friend of mine got rid of it. I seriously have no idea how or why do they show. I'll ask him if you want ?

It'd be nice if you could, especially if he could tell me how to get rid of them.

Even if he can just point me in the direction to figure it out myself I'd be happy.

Tell me what OS you're on. Also tell me if you're using a laptop or a desktop. I studied to be an IT before I changed my mind about it.

Instead of typing up a wall of text, I figured it'd be easier to link an article. Chances are that you're going to have to get something replaced in the end, though. =/

This depends on the issue. It could be one of two things. The first one means your fucked, because your screen is internally damaged and the lines aren't caused by technical issues. That happened to an old Dell I had. The second could just be the mis-read by your computer, running a full systems test from Admin works sometimes, other times....call Dell lol.

P.S. It's funnier for me because I answered calls for Dell this summer....and I basically just pretended not to get angry with people, be nice, and then when they asked something actually technical I would send their call to a more directed section of support.
