Hello all, We had our catalytic converter replaced about 4 months ago by a mechanic but it was side work for him. About 2 months after it was replaced it was acting up again and the check engine light came back on. He said he messed with it and it seems to be ok but it might me a faulty one. Now 2 months later it is making weird noises and the engine light is back one. I am wondering if he screwed us over and never really replaced it but just cleaned it out. Is there any way for me to be able to tell? He said he also replaced the O2 sensors and the plugs. He never showed us any receipts He said it is still under warrenty though. He said he bought it from Chrysler. Also if he did have to replace it again would we have to pay him more labor? Any help appriciated I did not find the right solution from the internet.
