Its all about portion control!! A BLOCK - unit of measurement. (Its basic algebra folks. That high school algebra teacher was right, you really do need this stuff in the real world!?) Memorize these 3 letters. C – F – P or this phrase "Crazy Fit People Zone" or just "Carbohydrates, Fats, and Proteins" Read your labels and pay close attention to the Carbohydrates, Fats, and Proteins. Everything you put in your mouth can be listed as a C, F, or a P. (Even a Snicker's Bar…So choose wisely my friends.) Say it again, "Crazy Fit People Zone." C F P. Carbs Fats Proteins! Put it all together: 1 Block of C = 9g of CARBOHYDRATES 1 Block of F =1.5g of FAT 1 Block of P = 7g of PROTEIN I'm a 3 blocker and my sig-o is a 5 blocker. (Check CFJ or your Success Journal for you daily block perscription.) My body type gives me a need for 11 blocks and him 17 blocks per day. If we eat 5 times a day the total number of blocks can be distributed through out the 5 meals. Larger meals require more blocks. Snacks are quick and easy at 1 block. Meal/Snack/Meal/Snack/Meal – (eating every 2-4 hours keeps your metabolism going and burns more fat!) 3/1/3/1/3 – Me (those are # of blocks) 5/1/5/1/5 – The BF OR 3/3/1/3/1 – Me 5/2/5/5 – The BF I'll translate it back in to nutritional fact label language: -27g C -21g P -5g F = Per large meal for Me -9g C -7g P -1.5g F = Per snacks for me and BF since a 1 block snack is a 1 block snack -45g C -35g P -7.5g F = Per large meal for BF Now, Shot me with your questions. |

I'm trying to wrap my head around this... I know I can get it I'm just a little slow 'cause I don't normally break my meals down like this, but I know I need to! I'll probably do a mix of zone & just straight up portion control to lose this weight. I'm assuming I'm a 3 block for meals but need to figure out if I'm a 1 block a 2 block for snacks.
