Confessions of a Chocoholic - I had a really hard time coming back from the cheat meal. Its like a lays chip, "no one can eat just one." Argh! I have to get over this hump!!!! I tried to freeze the sweets until next cheat meal but they wouldn't stop screaming my name, so I threw them in the trash! I've been on Holiday...I've worked out and tried to be strict on Paleo. The zoning wasn't going well due to the fact that I was at home and not on a schedule. I thrive on routine. My portions were out of control and my workouts have been feeling it. Especially those burpees. I also learned that pistacios make my stomach hurt and Almonds are loaded with fiber!! I heart the heck out of Almonds and I think everyone should eat a few oz a day of them! So today I go back to Zone/paleo - Just in time for the weekend. Loved the post on the CFCP blog today. I needed the pep talk! I have already measured out and set aside my zone snacks and meals for today (minus dinner because its burger night! Bunless burgers...I quit taking iron supplements and feel like that is the cause of my red meat cravings. Still testing this.) |

*** SUPERHERO NOSE DIVES OFF WAGON ****** This should be the newspaper title for Tuesday's Top Story! Monday I ate like crap. No dinner, just a binge of sugar. I don't have many sweets in my house so I got creative. Then made a trip to HEB for a slice of heaven! Mile High Black Out Cake. I will leave it at that. Tuesday I woke up bloated and achey. My hips, knuckles, knees....it all hurt. My body's response to the sugar attack. So I'll get back to the logging. Apparently I need to log to keep myself in check. |

Intermittent Fasting. I'm going to try it. I've been researching and now I am in the testing phase. Robb Wolf suggests starting off with 2x per week at a 11-15 hour fast. Do not try this unless you have cut out refined Carbs and can be strict about your bedtime *cough cough* I will doc my feelings/findings/results here. |
