Description: The Spotted Turtle does not have a great tolerance for warm conditions and comes out of hibernation relatively early.
Scientific Name: Clemmys guttata
Lifespan: 30 to 50 years
Average Size: 4 to 5 inches
Origin: North America

Feeding
The majority of food that you offer to your Spotted Turtle should be a mixture of insects. They like to eat worms and night crawlers but you should also offer them crickets, snails and even crayfish. You will also want to offer this turtle a variety of vegetables.

Habitat
Humidity: You will want to keep the humidity between 50% and 60% for Spotted Turtles.

Physical Design: The Spotted Turtle will require a portion of its habitat to be dry while the rest should be aquatic.

Size: A 20 to 30 gallon aquarium should be large enough for 1 or 2 Spotted Turtles.

Temperature: The temperature of the air in the Spotted Turtles habitat should be between 80 degrees F and 85 degrees F. They will need a dry basking area that reaches 90 degrees F.
