Sylvia looks at Tyson and wonders how the hell he heard her. She thought she was just mumbling. Was she really being that loud? She glances at Anthony and then pulls her hood tighter over her head, walking in the opposite direction of the two, back over to the kegs. Spoiler: click to toggle

Spoiler: click to toggle Jack stares hard at his two companions. He notices nothing special about them, except a small bug perched on the lapel of Luke's shirt. As he watches it, it turns towards him. Its tiny, beady eyes pierce him. He feels as if they stare into his very soul. Luke flicks his hand at it absentmindedly, and it flies away. Spoiler: click to toggle Luke glances briefly at the floor under the desk before he is startled backward by Al's words. He notices a glimmer of brass underneath the dust, possibly a handle. Spoiler: click to toggle Al takes a good, hard look at the odd bit of flooring. It's square, and there's a hairline seam along the edges of its shape. A heavily tarnished brass handle sits limply, an obvious method of opening the now similarly obvious trapdoor. Spoiler: click to toggle All three girls can clearly see that the kegs have been used recently. There's a tap in each one, and the ends of them seem moist. The last use couldn't have been more than a few minutes ago. Skid marks in the dust show that the kegs must have been dragged here, but from where? And more importantly, by whom? Anthony looks around the room, hoping to find stairs, or perhaps another door. Unfortunately, there are none apparent, it seems to be a small, one room saloon. |

Anthony sighs and turns towards the door to see how big the Saloon is from the outside, to see if there is even a possibility of rooms. |

Jack notices Luke and Al's interest in the floor, and completely ignores it and busts down one of the two doors. He's starting to trust the old man, though he's nit sure why. "when has he lead you astray yet?" Thinks Jack. |

"Augh dammit, Jack!" Quickly, I vault over and flip the desk onto its side so that it shielded Al and I from the trapdoor and other two doors. I sat, waiting for a moment. Nothing seemed to be happening.. "Jack you idiot!" I whispered, hopefully loud enough for him to hear. "Didn't you just hear Al? What if those were booby trapped?" While siting there, I take a closer look at the gun safe. I've seen more than enough people try to break into safes.. Perhaps I could reproduce that, as sickening as the idea was. Alyss looks for a glass she can use to see if the kegs still have any liquid in them. She quickly glances at the others in the room. "Hey Sylvie -- um, do you mind if I call you Sylvie?" |

"Hm?" Sylvia glances up at Alyss then goes back to looking around, trying to avoid direct eye contact with the girl. "Yeah," she says quietly, looking around for anything that might be of use. |

Al is momentary taken aback by Luke's surprisingly fast and prompt response, but quickly regains his composure. He decides right then that Luke was a man he wanted at his side, as long as this ragtag bunch was stuck here together. "Damnit Jack," he growls, "I said check the door not kick it in! It has a knob, and maybe we'd like to be able to close it again if there's a bomb or a guy with a gun waiting on the other side!" He shakes his head and motions Jack towards the front door. "Go watch outside, make sure the man with the ten gallon hat isn't skulking around and don't let anyone in without my say so." Turning away from him, Al then moves around the desk and takes hold of the handle of the trap door. "If that man had triggered a bomb it probably would have gone off by now, but stay behind the desk anyway, just to be safe." With that he tugged hard on the handle, attempting to open the trapdoor. |
