Al Kentin

"Alfonzo Kentin, you can call me Al," comes the response to Luke. He eyed Anthony as he picked up the rifle rounds and Luke as he took the better portion of the rations, but now he steps through the vacant door frame and peers out into the street, searching for signs of life or signs of the purpose of the buildings before them, or even just where they were. "Mr. Bel-Fairfax," he says, not turning to face the man whose name he knew from their past encounters, "I'd think it would be best to give the rifle rounds to the best shot, don't you agree?" His tone is pleasant but his annoyance at the greed of his former associate is only thinly veiled.

Anthony looks up at the mention of his name and responds "Mr. Kentin, I merely took them in case I could...enhance I suppose is the best way to put it, so I could enhance them if I find the necessary materials and tools for my trade. You know well that my products do not disappoint and I am sure you would rather have my product than these possibly defective rounds." upon thinking of the potential defectiveness of the materials in the crate Anthony checks the expiration date on the rations.

"Nice to become your acquaintance Al." Sensing a feeling of distrust in the man, I ask "Would you like to carry some of these rations? It makes sense to distribute the weight equally. Also, I quite agree with you the rounds should go to the best shot. And while I can't say for sure you certainly seem like you have the training. No mere military grunt however. Special ops?"

Sylvia nods at Anthony and then looks at each person in turn, taking in all the names and different conversations. In truth, she had never heard of Alyss Wilder, but she knew better than to mess with even the slightly egotistical, so she just kept quiet.

Hearing a loud crack, she turns her head to the now obliterated door. 'Wow,' she thinks, taking a peek outside before turning back to Anthony as he starts talking.

"Uhm.. sure," she replies, but then a thought occurs to her. "Hey what about something to drink? I think we should really look for that first." The words just kind of spouted out. She doesn't remember the last time she spoke so many words at once unless she had to give an oral presentation. Blushing deeply, she averts her gaze back to the light that the now broken door has shed into the room and welcomes the mini squabble going on between the two men for the distraction it is, however short it may be.

Anthony looks back at Sylvia "That is a good point, since we found canned food and ammunition in the crate we don't need to search for food right now, and if Al would like to search for the rifle that goes to these rounds than perhaps I can try to enhance that as well."

"You're probably right, Mr. Bel-Fairfax, but we don't know where we are and I'd rather have defective bullets in my pocket or in my gun than fancy ones made useless in someone else's." He turns to Luke and manages to break a small smile as he accepts the rations, his opinion of the young man shifting somewhat for the better. "Thank you, my boy," he says with a less buisnesslike tone. "I was a Brigadier General in the army, but I'm still quite the shot with a rifle, if I may be so immodest."

Looking around the room and seeing nothing of use, Sylvia decides it's time to go take a better look outside. Keeping somewhat close to the wall, she slips out the doorway and, staying close to the others, starts looking around, searching for any signs of life or anything at all, for that matter, that would give a clue as to what's going on.

"Very impressive. I'm glad to have a man of your rank and skill helping us." Looking at the others walking away toward the buildings I say, "We should catch up. We all need to work together. I don't know about you, but I would like to know who put us here. I WILL make them pay." Realizing my momentary slip-up, I recomposes myself and starts walking toward the others, calling out to them asking to stop.

Catarina hears a voice telling them to wait, she signals the other two with her, stops and turns around, "So I guess, we're ALL going to look around together now?"
