Light rushed out of the room, and towards the Nurse's Office. He struggled to push open the door, as he rushed inside while still holding up the drunk. This was his first time in the Nurse's Office. Hopefully the last. It seemed like a normal office, except for a fridge, a desk, a phone, and it was pretty much a kitchen, office, and an examination bed all at the same time. He lifted the drunk with both arms, and set him on the bed. He sat down in a nearby chair, and waited for either the idiot to come to, or for the Nurse to come in, and snap this guy out of it. "Maybe the dumbass will learn to stop intoxicating himself." Light said to himself. |

Ruby followed close by Light. She hadn't calmed at all, but seemed to worsen with each passing moment. Tears flooded her eyes, running down her cheeks as she reached the peak of panic, victim to the disorder which plagued the females of her family. Thoughts flooded her mind, unable to make sense of any. The moments past were all a blur, all that were on her minf at that moment was where the nurse was. |

Light saw Ruby look worried. He got up from the seat, and tried to comfort her. "Ruby, sit down. I'm sure he'll be all right. Though it seems critical, I don't think he can possibly be dead." Light said, as he helped Ruby onto the chair. Then he walked over the the drunk on the bed, and put two fingers on his wrist, and his ear on his chest. Everything seemed fine. "He definately isn't dead. I feel a pulse, and his heart it still beating." Light reassured. |

Ruby acknowledged that she were indeed being addressed, but she payed Light no mind, hyper-focusing on her thoughts. She slowly brought her shaking, hyper-ventilating form to a nearby chair, burying her tear-stained face into her palms, sobbing quietly into them. Before long, she would remove her palms from her tear-stained face, parting her wet lips to speak. "Water.. Please." She requested. |

[From: A Brief Respite...] Quickly proceeding to the nurse's office, Demitri opened the door and walked inside. There he found the unidentified Obelisk from the library, the young woman who had apparently put him into his critical state after being victimized, and the eerie gentleman who had assisted her in their transit. He began to walk over to the Obelisk who, in while in critical condition, seemed to be resting comfortably. Well...as comfortably as one walking the line between life and death could be, anyways. Taking note of the girl, he noted that she seemed to be in worse shape than he was; she was sobbing uncontrollably and appeared to be having a nervous breakdown. Understandable, considering the situation. Upon hearing her request for water, he quietly walked out of the room. Finding a nearby drink dispenser, he acquired a bottle of water and promptly returned. Without speaking a word, he set the bottle onto the table next to her, then returned to his examinations. Noting the pieces of glass still stuck into his head, as well as the needle in his arm, he couldn't help but wonder why on earth nobody had thought to remove them yet. |

Light turned to the Obelisk who quickly walked in and out, and left a water bottle. "That was fast..." Light said with a sigh. He picked up the water bottle to hand to Ruby, but it was hot. Hot water isn't any help. He put it back on the side and turned around. He walked towards the water cooler, and picked up a cup. He started pouring the cold water into the cup, until it was almost filled up. He then turned around again to return to Ruby. He left the cup by Ruby, and sighed again. "It's not good to cry so much, Ruby." he said. |

Ruby grasped the chilled water bottle retrieved from the cooler, removing the top, and downing the contents of the bottle in record time. Before long, her tears ceased, drying on her fair skin. Her frame continued to convulse and shake, her heartbeat, though still erratic, much slower than before she downed the cold beverage. She continued to hyper-ventilate, her chest heaving. "Thank you." Ruby mumbled her thanks to the other men. |

He's lost a lot of blood...but otherwise it doesn't appear to be fatal. There's a bit of a crack in his skull were the bottle appears to have impacted, and there appears to be a large bruise forming on his temple. Perhaps he hit something when he fell. The side of a chair, perhaps? The more he discovered, the more thoughts and theories that popped into Demitri's head. He had so many questions. Though now was no time for such things. First things first. The shrapnel. as well as that needle, needs to be removed. Where on earth is that nurse? Looking around the room, Demitri spotted a small sign hanging from the inside of the doorknob. Upon the sign read "Out to Lunch" as well as an estimated return time. Looking at his watch, Demitri was irritated to find that the nurse wouldn't return for yet another thirty-four minutes. Damn. I suppose there's not much choice but to wait...and even then they'll probably just freak out and call a nearby emergency ward. Ah well...it can't be helped I guess. Looking back at the gentleman laid out on the bed, he decided that removing the fragments and dressing his wounds needed to be done. He quickly removed his coat and hung it up on the rack near the door, making sure to adjust the collar of his shirt to conceal the scar on his neck. He then proceeded to the sink and washed his hands. Walking over to the cabinet at the far end of the room, Demitri quickly acquired a pair of tweezers, a roll of bandages, antibacterial prep pads, a pair of latex gloves and several other small bits and pieces of equipment. Placing all of this on a small tray, Demitri took it with him as he returned to the bedside. I'm no doctor, but I should be able to do this much at least. Putting on the gloves, Demitri took up the tweezers and began his work. Starting with the needle, he carefully removed it from the Obelisk's arm, taking extra care not to break the tip or such. Placing it into the hazardous waste bin, he then began working on the glass shards embedded in the head. One by one, the small shards were removed and placed onto a small piece of paper on the tray. Again, extreme care was used to avoid breaking pieces off the shards. What seemed like an eternity passed as Demitri continued his work. Finally removing the last shard, he let out an audible sigh. Taking up the prep pads, he then began to wipe down open wounds. Once the majority of the blood had been removed and the wounds were sufficiently cleaned, Demitri picked up the roll of bandage and carefully began to wrap the young mans head. Avoiding any jolting or other sudden shocks, he quickly wrapped the bandage multiple times. Once enough had been applied, he cut the bandage and gently tied it down. Standing up, Demitri stretched. Removing the gloves, he deposited them in the waste receptacle, then washed his hands again. Retrieving his coat from the rack, he quickly put it back on. "Phew. That wasn't exactly pleasant. Thankfully, despite looking quite excessive, the wounds themselves aren't bad all things considered. Though to be quite honest...it would seem this isn't the first time this has happened to him." Turning his attention to the young woman, he was relieved to notice that she seemed to be calming down. If only a bit. He watched as the other young man seemed to be trying to comfort her, but she appeared to be paying him little mind. I can't begin to imagine what could be going through her head right now. I'm tempted to inquire...but perhaps I'll save that for another time. |

OOC: lulz his brain is swelling, and the only reason he isn't dead is because the crack(s) allow for the swelling. He's in a coma until I say otherwise. We need a nurse. =/ |
