Waiting for Kira.

Ruby had left the class taught by the mysterious Mr. L, clutching the note passed to her by her fellow student, as she returned her dormitory. Wandering into the Library, she found a secluded table. Fetching her headphones from her blazer's pocket, she clipped them over her ears, Rave music playing quietly whilst she searched for a book to entertain her whilst she waited for Kira to find her.

Suddenly, as if on cue, a crash was heard. Like before, this preceded the coming of the Obelisk blue student, newly admitted from the medical ward. He stumbled his way through the library, his blue blazer slung over his shoulders now. He had elected to come to the library for no particular reason, but his boredom compelled him to go somewhere.

He raised a bottle of citrus vodka to his lips, and took a swig before noticing the girl at the table across the library. Upon noticing her, he stumbled his way in her direction, only falling over once before reaching her, a new personal record.

"Hey, baby. Whas your name? I was wonderin' if maybe you'd wanna come back to my dorm room for a little fun?" he asked, his words slurred due to his obvious intoxication. Was this boy EVER sober?

Ruby's eyes moved from that of her book to the doorway of the library, curious of the crash she had heard over her Rave music. Reaching into the blazer, she paused the media player, and flipped the book upside-down, saving her current spot in "Ender's Game". The blue-clad man who had entered was the same who had caused the abrupt end of Mr. L's class. Shaking her head, she resumed the media player, Rave music continuing to softly play in her ears as she lifted her novel, continuing to read, uninterested in the intoxicated man. In the corner of her eye, she watched the drunken man trip over himself, coaxing a small giggle from Ruby.

As the man approached her, and began to hit on her, she simply parted her fair lips, vocaling her distaste in the man. "Piss. Off."

He took another swig from the contents of the bottle before setting it on the table and moving half-way out of her sight. He was a bad person, and he had been since he had been "programed" this way. He was, after all, nothing more than a human computer. The events in his life had led him to this, and he intended now to answer their calls.

"Oh, don't be that way," he said moving his hand forward to grab her arm. A hint of annoyance entered his voice during this exchange. He didn't like being ignored, least of all for a book.

"You don't know what you're turnin down," he said as he moved his hand ever so discretely toward her mouth, that way she wouldn't be able to scream when he took her away. It wouldn't be the first time he had done something like this, and if he had learned anything from previous events it was this; screaming was bad for a person doing what he was about to attempt.

Ruby sighed. The stench of the other man's alcohol quickly began to irritate her as he approached ever closer, setting the distasteful beverage on her table. Her heart began to beat faster, as the drunken man continued to express his wish for bringing her back with him to his dorm, panic ran through her system. Closing her novel, she started to raise, before the intoxicated blue-clad man's hand made it's way to cover her mouth. In an instant, her right hand darted over to his own, grasping it, her thumb and ring finger tightly applying pressure to pressure points on the back of the hand, and the palm of his hand, fluidly twisting the hand off her mouth, into a wrist lock. Grabbing for the half-empty bottle of citrus vodka, bringing the bottle over his head, yelling out "Piss off you damned drunken pervert!", breaking the bottle over him, spilling the contents over the man's body.

"Well then..." Light said, as he came in, seeing Ruby beating the crap out of the drunk that had interrupted the class before. He walked in expecting to be waiting for Ruby, since he generally thought girls would take hours getting ready for anything.

But in fact, Ruby had been waiting for him. And not only that, but she was probably so bored, that she started knocking out the drunk, because of boredom impulse. Light had thought carefully what he was about to do. True, it was only supposed to be a pastime, but lately, it had become an obsession. An obsession that he was determined to complete by solving. He walked up to Ruby, who had just smashed the alcohol bottle on the drunk, knocking him out cold. He was careful to walk over the body while nearing her.

"So, Ruby. How long have you been waiting for?" Light said with a smile.

Rounin stood in utter shock for just a moment, before he collapsed to the ground. He was unconscious since the moment the bottle had made contact, but it took a moment for his knees to buckle beneath him. However, once they did, he fell, and his head slammed hard against the table, which made direct contact with his temple.

Rou was passed out on the floor, blood gushing from his head where the bottle had connected. He also had several minor scratches along his face and the top of his head where the glass had broken, and other bits of it were stuck inside of his head, and even his skull. At the top of his head, where the bottle had connected, it could be further observed that his skull was slightly cracked.

As he lay there, his body did not move, other than taking shallow breathes. His blue blazer was wet, and wreaked of alcohol. His face was a covered with blood, as he had landed face down, and the blood from the wound was accumulating around, and under his face. His life was surely in danger, he showed no signs of life, other than breath. He did not fidget, as was typical for people sleeping, he stayed completely still.

The student of the Obelisk Blue dormitory was still bleeding, and his face was turning pale from the massive loss of blood. The blood continued to flow profusely, almost as if it were a river pouring from the man's body. His stillness was eerie, his breathings were shallow, and scarce. He was surely injured far worse than the girl had meant.

As he lay there, no movement came, no actions came from the boy. He seemed unconscious, but it was obvious that his case was far more severe than that. The blood gushed, and soon there was a puddle ranging three feet from the man's fallen body. Would this be the end of him?

Upon closer investigation, it would be revealed that he had fallen into a coma. The papers would classify it as a case of self-defense, and that the man was clearly intoxicated, and that punishments should be lenient were he to awaken. His life up until that point had been tragic, and driven him to these events. Yes, he would receive punishment, but they would most likely be the minimum amount of punishment for such a crime. Todays society does have such a soft underbelly for people with such troubled upbringings.

Ruby's breathing became eratic. Her heart easily reaching 150 BPM, common signs of panic. Bending over, she grasped the blood-stained blue-clad student, hoisting his body weakly, caling out to Light. "Help me bring him to the nurse. We'll chat after he's safely in good hands." Even though she had just smashed the man for attempt to sexually assult her, her prime concern was not of her's and Kira's meeting, but making sure she hadn't killed the man.

"Haha, all right." Light said, smiling again. He bent down on his knee and lifted the drunk up. He put the victim's right arm around his neck, & grabbed it with his right hand. He put his left arm on his back, and got up.

"This idiot should stop drinking so much, he smells like crap." Light said, as he picked up the student, standing up. Ruby was doing the same with his other side, but Light told her not to.
"Just open the doors in the way, Ruby. It's fine, I got him." Light said, as he started walking out.

Ruby was shaking, unable to shake the feeling of panic. Her world seemed to move in fast-forward, a common sign of anxioty or an adreniline rush. Quickly, she made her way to the doors, holding them open for Light. "Please hurry." She urged him.
