A yes/no/no preference is what we're looking for here. I say no, because it doesnt feel like an actual RP that way, it feels like Yugioh GX and some of the unnamed characters are given a personality. I dont have a problem with people creating characters close to an anime' character, but I think that everyone should create their own for a truly unique experience. |

I want to say no. I want this place to be original. Reason why I chose to be my new "Tai" character over Asuka/Pegasus (Rwar!)/Amon character which I still have the templates for lol. Also people generally only want to roleplay with the Canons. I frown at that even I if it makes me get alot of attention ^^; |

I feel that slightly unfair, that would mean I cannot use Johan, it should simply be a select few who are allowed but cannot use characters like Judai who "take up an entire plot". So to speak. Because the characters allowed should be the less-established characters like Johan, Junko, Rei, etc. These characters are ones that can be worked the same as an OC character.

But than that's just unfair to everyone who ISN'T Johan, Junko, or Rei. They already have their characters established, while other people still need to develop their characters and let them shine through. Especially crippling is that it's the "expert RP-ers" who'll be using the canon characters. They'd be good writers who are wielding characters with already established back stories. So the... less then expert RP-ers would have to work, not only improving their writing skills, but also on creating a good, believable character. |

I wanna say no, but i really like being Edo because everyone's all like "EDO PHOENIX OMGZ!!!!111!!!!" in the RP. It's fun having that reaction. Plus, I'm the only pro duelist in the academy lol. |

I say no. An Academy is supposed to be people learning to duel. With people like Edo, Johan, etc. who already have lot of experiance, it feels like the rest of us get ignored alot. I say everybody has created people who are trying to work their way up. |

Well I refuse to allow myself be stripped of Johan. The last time I tried to work with my fanfiction character which caused my fiction to get deleted just caused me problems. EDIT: Also I wasn't saying "Expert RPers" like myself should be the only ones...by select few I meant people the admins deem worthy. Edited by Johan Anderson, Feb 2 2008, 04:12 PM.

I guess we can make a notable exception for Johan... since he IS meant to be a transfer student, we can say he got transfered to CWA... But still we shouldn't allow too many Canon characters. |
