Coming from the area behind the waterfall, Vernon began to wonder about the series of events that had lead him to his current situation. To really grip the situation, he wanted to go to a place where he could really feel like he could get a grip of everything. He wondered if the peaceful look of the Beach would be a good place to try to get some time to think. Only one way to find out as he began his walk. At the Beach Vernon wiped sweat off of his brows from the long walk to the Beach. His large 7 foot tall frame acquired him long strides, but it still took awhile. When he got to the Beack, he sat down near the edge and looked out over the open water. "Everything that has happened so far has to be for a reason. But one I don't understand is... why did I get Osiris?" he asked himself as his red eyes seemed to stare into the glaring water from the setting sun. "I know I could have done better, I swear I did. But.. is this all I am good for? Just.... the bottom of the pack? The bottom of the barrel? I.. just don't know anymore." Vernon said gently out loud. |

The sun had finally set. The now sober Pirate had been walking around for hours, he eventually got rid of his empty bottle of rum. He decided he would stay in his ship before getting a dorm room. He headed back down to the beach. Looking at the moon reflect off the ocean waters. He walked further down, getting closer to his ship. When he noticed a boy, sitting on the beach close to the water. "Hm, I wonder who this might be." the sober Pirate said to himself. He walked up behind the boy, trying to see what he's looking at. Davy sees nothing in the distance. "Ar. The Seven Seas lad. What a beautiful site. Is it not?" he asked the boy. |

[OCC: Is it night?  ]What brought him to the beach? Perhaps someone challenged him for a duel, or maybe he's on a date ? Nah, Kenichi just enjoy walking on the beach, with the sound of wave crashing, soothing one inner soul. Life is stressful, and what's the other way to make those stress disappear other taking a simple walk?
"Huh, who's that?" Kenichi turned, searching for the source of the voice. For afar, he could see a towering figure, which means only two things, either Demetri or Vernon. He walked toward the figure, every steps leaves footsteps on the soft, sandy beach. As he walked, he noticed something odd. "Is that a ship?" He asked himself. looking at the piece of jumbled-up wood tied together. As he got nearer, he can see it is Vernon, and some kind of person whose he never met before. "Vernon," Kenichi paused, not sure what should he say. "Is something bothering you?" [OCC: Sorry for not RPing for a while. Was busy with life.  ]

Vernon was looking out to the ocean when he heard an unfamiliar voice appear from behind him. Being in his current condition, he really didn't feel like talking. However, another voice then seemed to pop out of nowhere. Without even looking behind him, he knew the voice was Kenichi's. He knew he wanted to keep quiet, but he also wanted to share his feelings with his best friend. "Kenichi......" Vernon said slowly as he forgot the other person's existance. He continued to look into the ocean with a sadder look on his face. "T...This world, is there more in this world for me?" he asked out loud sadly as he turned his face toward the ground. "I thought I could do my best on this exam to get into this school. I feel as though I did. But what did it get me? It got me one of the lowest dorms in the Academy." Vernon said as his shoulders slumped sadly. "Maybe this is all the world has in store for me. Maybe this is all I was ever good for. All of those dreams I had of being a great duelist were just stupid dreams I was an idiot for thinking I could ever achieve." Vernon said even sadder as a tear fell from one of his eyes. |

Uh... this was an awkward situation for Kenichi. He's not much of a person who one can comfort people. Even himself was troubled. He listen to Vernon's pledge, but remained speechless for some time. He didn't know what should he say. Saying something bad may result... well... bad. "Vernon," he began to talk, carefully arranging his words, "you shouldn't let something like that bothers you mind. We didn't need to be a genius to get to the top. It always the underdog who come up to the top. And it was always the underdog who topples those genius. Just don't give up. Giving up means that you'll fail completely," he said, giving a piece of his mind. So, what about him? Well, if he didn't sleep halfway to the theoretical exam, perhaps he'll get higher than the one he's on for now. Heck, at least they're not Sebeks. "Cheer up, you're not only the one who's bad. There's still me, other Osiris and Sebeks," he said, trying to lift Vernon self-esteem. |

(ooc Heh got tired of pretending to be asleep, though if you don't want me apart of this melancholy moment just say so.) Veras had decided that sleeping during mealtime was as impossible as flying by flapping your arms. The voices from the dining hall could be heard very loudly in his room and no amount of covering your ear with your pillow could stop it, so deciding he would find some peace and quiet the young man decided he would play his Cello on the beach. Afterall this time of day he doubted there would be many people there. Grabbing his Cello case he made his way toward the sandy retreat to see it already occupied by 2 young Osiris boys, though not about to be swayed from his course of action Veras decided it wouldn't be to bad to have a small audience. Afterall the mood seemed rather sad and the Cello was the perfect instrument to fit that mood. Sitting close enough so they could hear him but to be left from his conversation the Dark headed youth started playing a slow sad set of chords, not any particular piece though just what Veras felt the mood in the air called for. Glancing over he checked to see if they heard but didn't stop playing, after all he came here to play to help calm his nerves so that's what he intended to do. |
