The Grand Central Duel Arena. The largest dueling grounds on the campus. The dark shadow of the massive arena stood against the blazing orange sky. The sun was setting, and the appointed time was drawing near. The girl stood on the dueling platform, her deck resting in front of her. Her blue hair hung about her as she waited. The greatest duelists of the Ra Yellow dorm would be coming, and she was ready for them. Aoi smiled. This would prove to be quite fun. |

I wont back down!
|
JeY was hearing around that a single obelisk challenge the best of the Ras. There were many rumors about the plight, but JeY didn't really care for rumors. He told his fellows Ras he was going, but the urged him not to. They kept trying to stop him from going... 'It's a trap! You’ll be sorry!' 'They only want to mug you for your deck!' 'The Blues are terrorizing us for terrorizing the reds!' were all lame excuses to JeY. A few things JeY managed to discover about himself the past week proved efficient enough to take on whatever challenges he was facing. Besides, an Obelisk would never stoop that low, right? JeY was confident in his power to take the challenge and prove the worrisome Ras wrong. He approached the Grand Central Arena, where this feature obelisk was supposedly waiting. He came bearing only his duel disk and his faithful friend-inspired deck. No backpack with misc. essentials or extras. The arena was dark, but he could make out the obelisk standing in position. Of course, it has to be an attractive girl with blue hair... This wont end well, I'm sure. JeY always feared embarrassing himself in front of others, but this kind of thing made it much worse. I'm here, might as well go through with this... JeY thought to himself. He approached the dueling ring. "I heard an Obelisk was looking for top Ras. Mind if I go first?" JeY called out to the girl, assuming he was the first to arrive. He bared a grin of overconfidence on his face, to trick the girl that he was just an over-rated freak. Too cute to lose!
|
(Keeping in mind that his is like, day six of time skippy-nes, Sakaki can be here (and was invited) with no issues. Just saying as a reminder so noone is all... grr!) Sakaki pranced in with a big, happy, smily grin on her face. She arrived just in time for Jey to make his challenge, but she din't mind waiting. Her reason for being here was very much the same as Jey's, though she hadn't the same kind of concern for her from her friends as Jey's had for him. It mattered not, she supposed. As long as she was here, and she got o duel. This would be fun! Sakaki giggled happily as she scampered up to the side of the arena to watch from a better vantage point. "Go get her, mister... Yellow person!" She had no idea of his name, but he was of her dorm, and she therefore would cheer him on. Looking over to the attractive blue girl, Sakaki made a thumbs down sign at her. "Mister other-yellow-person here is gonna eat you up! And then I'll take the leftovers!" She had half a mind to throw in a playful growl at he, as though to show she was a sceewy wittle Sakaki, but decided not to, instead standing next to the arena to wait for the first to begin, and finish. "I'm Sakaki, by the way! Sakaki Ahi! And... you peoples are?" |

I wont back down!

JeY looked back, surprised by the sudden entrance. Surprising in fact, the obelisk girl didn't get a chance to answer him yet. Though what was really awkward was that it was Sakaki, and she began cheering for him, without knowing his name. Though, after asking it, he felt a bit better. So, the prodigy wants to take her on too? Should be interesting... Even if he did, JeY couldn't recall seeing her duel before. The fact that someone her age achieved Ra is something, though. "Oh uhm. I'm JeY." He called back. He turned back to Aoi, though it was hard to keep looking at her like that for much longer without feeling awkward. He expected her to answer Sakaki quickly, and then accept JeY's challenge. He just hoped it would take place quickly... |

Danielle walked hurriedly from the Ra Yellow dining hall across campus. Billie was following her. She had heard that a powerful Obelisk student was issuing a challenge to the best of the Ra dorm. Her fellow Holography students seemed to think that she qualified. But she did sort of finish up with the last of them this afternoon. Why they all wanted to challenge her, she didn't understand. But she was going to go represent her dorm in this Obelisk student's gauntlet. She looked at her cell phone, which was really more like a glorified timepiece. "I think we'll be able to make it just in time...." She adjusted her duel disk as she approached Grand Central. She hoped that she'd be able to win against the Obelisk challenger. She knew there were a lot of people counting on her. And she didn't want to let them down. Especially her friends, who would be there every step of the way. |

Ms. Hatcher was still in one of her moods. Classes in the morning, detention in the afternoon, work at the nurses office in the evening, and keeping up with the tournament. It was a bit tiring, and she felt a little relieved that tomorrow would be the last day of the punishment, and she'd have no classes. She was so wound up and stressed out, all she could do was eat one small loaf of bread. Danielle spoke up, Billie wordlessly followed her, walking but not really paying attention, not really remembering why they were coming this way again. "Uhh... where are we going again?" a dazed look in her eyes, as she adjusted her backpack to a more comfortable position. |

"The Firefly"
|
Having arrived several minutes before Danielle and company, Rina had gone to the bathroom, coming back to the main dueling area afterward to see Sakaki already here with Jey and the Obelist duelist, Aoi. Entering, the orange-haired girl made her way towards the trio. Like Jey, Sakaki, and the others, she was challenged by Ms. Sanders, as well. This would be the firefly's second duel against a higher ranked student. With "Kamikaze" Naruko as her first Obelisk opponent, and her first tie (Naruko's 14th intentional draw), Rina had been making small adjustments to her deck ever since. And, as always, she was looking forward to a great battle when her time came. But first, it seemed Jey was the one in front of Aoi. Rina assumed he was first to go through with the contest. "Hey hey~! What's up, guys?" she introduced herself. |

The blue-haired Obelisk opened her eyes, satisfied with the turnout of this group. She wasn't about to start before a few spectators gathered. After all, if the other Ras weren't here to watch her crush their comrades, what was the point? "JeY, I'll let you go first. I'm ready when you are." She would be the first to see her opponent's deck. With all these duels ahead of her and no deck-substitutions, she needed to retain her trump cards until the last possible moment. |

"Oh, hey Rina." Billie curtsied, acknowledging the firey redhead. She was still a little lightheaded from the past few days, but maybe hanging out with her girls would cheer her up. Looking around the central dueling arena, it seemed the windows had been replaced after her and Danielle's duel a few days back. That was good news, right? As the duel was about to begin, she spotted another girl in a Ra Yellow uniform. Much shorter then everyone else, it was no doubt everyone's favourite loli, Sakaki Ahi. Billie walked over to the pink haired prodigy of Ra Yellow. "Oh, you're here as well?" Billie blinked, as though she were thinking. She put her hands on Sakaki's shoulders and sighed. "Seems that Aoi Sandal girl has brought together the best female duelists of Ra Yellow. Me, Danielle, you, JeY, and Rina. She's no doubt trying to win it for the Obelisks in the Dorm Tournament." Was the white haired one really as level headed as she claimed? Misspronouncing the Obelisks name, forgetting JeY's gender. The days had probably taken quite a toll on her mind, and she may not have been in the best mood to duel. |

I wont back down!

[OOC: :O You're lucky JeY didn't hear that!] "Alright, sounds good." JeY said. He wasn't nervouse yet, but when he approached his position and looked out, there were more people there. He turned a little red. Great, now if I screw up, the best of Ra will see it... It was wierd about Jey, some things he could do without worrying about others caring one bit, while other things, all he cared about what was other people thought. Lucky for him, this situation was an in-between kind of thing. He shuffled his deck, placed it int he duel disk, and drew 6 cards for the start of his turn. "I'll start with Card Trooper and use effect to mill the top 3 on my deck!" He said, sending Solemn Judgement, Scapegoat, and Dark Magician of Chaos to the graveyard. He looked at his hand to form a plan, thought about what could happen. After a few seconds, he realized he was just standing there thinking. "Oh, that's it. Your turn." He said. Going to have to try not to do that too often... JeY thought to himself, not realizing looking at your hand and thinking for a second was actually really normal. |
