"So... you tried to kiss her didn't you?" the nurse teased. "I would never dream of such a thing with that short-tempered eagle-eyed malcontent!" Lawrence quickly replied, bitterly. "Right right, fine. Well, there's been a recent surge of injuries in the school lately, I'm a little swamped with paperwork, wouldn't want to get sued you know? Anyway, I think my Assistant Nurse can keep you company for a while. I'll send her a message." The nurse typed away on her computer, an awkward silence filled the room as the Sebek Knight held an icepack over his eye. He was sitting down on a plain white cot in the nurse's office. This wasn't his first time in the Nurse's Office either, Akane had injured him before. A rock thrown at him when he had won their last duel using Celestia. A bruise on his leg when he "wasn't really playing against her" and lost against her Armed Dragon the time prior. He sighed, there was just no pleasing some people. "Uhh, by the way, whenever your mom or dad can fax those immunization papers over, that would be great." the nurse went back to her paperwork filing. |

"Don't let him fool you...he deserved what he got." a female voice called out from the doorway. Currently leaning against the wall next to the door, arms crossed, Nanayo couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the young knight sitting there nursing the black eye Akane had given him. Having tailed the Sebek since he left the cafe, it hadn't taken the raven-haired girl to catch up to him. Of course, once she got within about twenty feet of the young man, she had slowed her pace to allow herself to track him properly...without being seen of course. Then again, that wasn't exactly hard...considering he only had one good eye to work with at the moment. Slightly startled by the sudden intrusion by a third party, the nurse swiveled in her chair to address this new entrant. Upon seeing who it was though, she relaxed a bit. "Oh! Nana-chan! You scared me for a moment there. I really would appreciate it if you'd start knocking before you come in..." the nurse said with a sigh, before turning back to her work. Judging by the relaxed tone, she and the tall Osiris were already well acquainted. Not surprising, seeing as Nanayo's random excursions and eccentricities usually meant more work for the kind, middle-aged woman. Stepping away from the door frame and into the room, Nanayo grabbed a chair from next to the wall and carried it lazily over to the cot where the Sebek now sat. Setting it down with the back facing the bed, the Hummingbird took a seat, resting her arms across the top of the back. Leaning over and perching her head on top of her folded arms, she was in good position to address either of the other two people in the room. "I saw the whole thing..." the Osiris began, as she finished getting comfortable. "Truth be told...ANYBODY who knew Akane would have seen this as the only possible outcome. Especially..." Nanayo paused, deciding to stretch the truth just the tiniest bit. "...When this poor sap fell over in his chair and 'inadvertently' groped her. It was hilarious. Akane was SO pissed!" she continued, as the nurse began to laugh quietly. "Hell, I'm surprised a black eye's all you walked away with. Though I suppose you're lucky in that sense..." she finished, closing her eyes and grinning at the young man. |

(OOC: Why where you up at 6 AM!?! 0_0) The white sterile hallways had become a second home to the white haired one. Well, third home technically. First was her German monastary, second was Room 204. She had originally planned a quick getaway to the river when her PDA went off, informing her a new arrival had come. She cringed as she wandered over to the Nurse's Office. Recently, there had been a lot of injuries, mostly on Ra Yellow male students. Though the nurse would do the majority of the work, patching the students up, Billie's role was mostly one for raising morale. But how could she raise morale, especially when she felt so low? The Ra Yellow students would share horrible and graphic stories, a student by the name of Keitaro's condition in particular had raised more then a little alarm. Despite the graphic violent actions taken against them, not one of the patients agreed to release the identity of their assailant. Whether do to fear or shame or otherwise remained unclear to either Ms. Hatcher or the head nurse. As she approached the door, it sounded like an arguement of sorts had broken out. "I saw the whole thing... truth be told...ANYBODY who knew Akane would have seen this as the only possible outcome. Especially... when this poor sap fell over in his chair and 'inadvertently' groped her. It was hilarious. Akane was SO pissed!" Perhaps this was a bad time? Especially since she... wasn't a person who knew Akane, the conversation was probably none of her concern. And considering she recognized the voice of the girl, she didn't want to run into that troublemaker again. "Hell, I'm surprised a black eye's all you walked away with. Though I suppose you're lucky in that sense..." "That's enough Nana-chan! As much as I appreciate your... lively spirit, your teasing isn't exactly helping in the recovery process." "Someone needs to clip your wings Hummingbird!" Billie could scarecly hear. Despite the fact that he spoke it with a bit of a menacing tone, he had spoken the sentence rather low, as though half of him wanted her to hear it, and half of him didn't. "Lawrence you too. Stop getting into fights. Obviously you're doing something to provoke this Akane girl so whatever it is, just stop it. No offense, but when you come in every other day it just causes more work for me and my Assistant Nurse." Leaning on the side of the wall, to avoid being seen, Billie could not see the nurse checking her watch. "Speaking of which, where is that girl?" Billie sighed. Looks like she was needed. "I-I'm right here." she stuttered. Wilhelmina knew every person in that room, and she had reason to believe each and everyone of them had something against her. |

(OOC: Gotta love work! Oh well...at least it wasn't an opening shift. Getting up at 2 a.m. suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. XD) ============================================================ "Ha...you got your ass kicked by Akane and you think you can handle ME? You're an even bigger idiot than I thought!" Nanayo scoffed. "Nana-chan...please don't talk like that. Not here." the nurse repiled, her tone firm. As well she should too. After all...this was a place of rest and recovery, not a battlefield. "Oh please. He's a big boy, right? A noble knight? He should be able to..." Nanayo began to reply, before being interrupted by the sound of the door creaking open. Wincing a bit, she couldn't help but a bit agitated by the new arrival. Well, well. If it isn't everyone's favorite little princess... Remaining silent for a moment, a slight grin suddenly appeared on the Osiris' face. Thankfully for Billie...Nanayo was in better spirits than she had been when they had first met a little under a week ago. That...and she was having fun with Don Quixote over there on the cot. "Hey squirt!" the raven-haired girl called out, raising a hand in greeting. "What brings you all the way out here?" "About time you showed up." the nurse interrupted, clearly annoyed by the Billie's entrance for some reason. "You know, this constant tardiness is really becoming an issue. In the medical profession...time is of the essence. Your lackluster performance COULD cost someone their life!" |

Lawrence was in no mood to argue with the annoying Osiris girl. He kept his hand over the icepack on top of his eye. "I-I'm sorry." Lawrence could see the white haired girl's eyes were cast on the ground in shame. "I-I still had detention. Today was my last day and-" "Listen, I know you have class and all that, but you knew the terms when you chose to work. But anyway, I called you here for another reason too. I sent out an order for some special medication as well as new supplies, so my Assistant Nurse is in charge of the office until I get back." She blinked, realizing what she had said. Lawrence could tell it was probably a pretty... overall bad idea to give the nervous little girl so much responsibility and pressure, but he figured that if the girl was to ever be a full fledged nurse, she'd have to take charge eventually. The nurse turned her computer off, and calmly walked over to the door. "Behave while I'm gone children." and before any of them could protest being called children, she was gone. Lawrence sighed, in annoyance. He had reason to believe everyone in this room had something against him. First of all was the Serpent Girl. First impressions last, and the white haired little monster had stabbed him in the stomach the first time they had meant. No seriously. Unbeknownst to either of them, she was under the control of an evil Dragon, but that's besides the point right now. Apparently he didn't forgive her, which was pretty understandable. Next was the Hummingbird, who been an insolent child since the moment the pair had met. Violent and mean spirited, she almost made the girl who tried to kill him 4 days earlier look like a saint. "Uhh... can I check to see if the swelling's gone down yet?" "No!" Lawrence shot back, put a hand on the handle of his sword. He leaned backwards to prevent the menace from so much as touching him. "Uh-uh... okay. F-fine." The Serpent Girl turned over to the Hummingbird. "Uhh... unless you're visiting someone or injured, I don't think you're allowed here." She had her hands on the small of her back, her eyes not looking at Nanayo. |

"I'm obviously visiting someone." Nanayo replied, suppressing any signs that she may be annoyed by the current situation. Pointing her left thumb towards Lawrence, she seemed to be indicating that she was there to check up on him. "This weakling right here. Why ELSE would I be here? Honestly...though I have to admit. I never expected a little girl like you to be interested in medical science! You're just full of surprises ain'tcha?" the Osiris continued with a smirk. "It's almost as surprising as the fact that our dear knight is afraid of girls half his size!" |

"Lawrence isn't scared of girls half his size, right?" the white haired girl took a step towards him. "Stay back Serpent Girl!" The knight had managed to remove his sword, holding it in his right, as he held the icepack over his left eye. "F-fine... but stop calling me Serpent Girl! My name is Wilhelmina Hatcher, and you can only adress me as such. Or Billie. Call me that. But don't call me Mi-" "I do not care what idle commands you make of me Serpent Girl, but seeing as how your own master seems unsatisfied with your work, I suggest you both quickly leave me to my rest before I give her an abysmal report on your performance." "But this is where I work!" "Work elsewhere." responded the "noble" knight. He was in foul mood, considering the events of the day so far. Billie looked up at Nanayo. "Uhh..." she seemed uncertain of what to say. Edited by Billie Hatcher, Aug 20 2008, 09:14 PM.

"Stop being such a damn baby. Don't you have ANY pride at all?" Nanayo said bluntly, glaring at the knight. She was still hunched over the chair, in that 'relaxed' position she had taken earlier. Even as the knight drew his blade, she showed no signs of concern whatsoever. "I mean...she only wants to help. You should be thankful that anyone cares at all. Especially after that stunt you pulled at the cafe..." the Osiris sighed. Of course...she didn't know about the scuffle the two had had while Billie was still possessed. How could she, seeing as she had returned to the island after the fact. "Why don't you just take a nap or something. You'll feel better after you wake up." |

"Pride!? You may have an abundance of pride, but you seem to lack a huge amount of RESPECT towards anyone or anything!?" the Sebek exclaimed in a rather loud tone. "Truthfully Hummingbird, didn't your mother teach you any manners when you were a chick?" The white haired Serpent Girl sighed in exasperation, just about tired with all this arguing. She looked at Nanayo, wondering what her reaction was going to be. |

(OOC: OSHI~!} ============================================================ "...Say that again." Nanayo hissed, getting up from her seat. Her pleasant expression was gone in an instant, replaced with a feeling of unimaginable rage. Her eyes, normally a brilliant blue hue, now flashed green as the the girl's fury began to erupt hotter and faster than a volcano. Again disregarding the weapon in the Sebek's hands, the infuriated Hummingbird drew closer to the cot, her fists clenched in anger. As she stepped into the sunlight being cast into the room through the tall windows, the deep crimson highlights in her hair seemed to glow...as if reacting to the fiery emotions welling up within the Osiris. Beginning to look like some sinister angel of death given flesh, it was clear that Nanayo was VIOLENTLY pissed off...and that was putting it nicely. The only question was...what had set her off like that? |
