(OOC: Heheh.... ^_^; ) Akane's attention returned to Lawrence as he spoke up, probably to divert attention away from the new girl. Akane simply eyed him as he spoke and departed. "...." The raven-haired girl clenched her fists, ...strangling her novel in the process. A disgruntled look stretched across her face. Why did that guy always have to push her buttons, being at the wrong place at the wrong time didn't help, either. And now, because of things, she was getting the wrong kind of attention, yet again. Perhaps her "Amazon" nickname would reappear in this school, as well. "...! Pity me, huh?" She muttered to herself. "...What did you think you were doing, anyway... touching me like we're friends.... .... I warned him, too... the jerk...! .... ...Hmph!" Deciding to make her exit she powerfully walked her way to the door. On her way there, she passed Kristy's table. One short glance from behind the girl, Akane scoffed quietly within earshot of her. "...Huh." As she got to the door, there was a tall young man blocking the way. His height remind her of Demitri. A quick shock came to her as she considered what would have happened if he were around. .... Not pleased to have been reminded of that fact, she narrowed her eyes at the red-haired individual and approached him. Apparently, he wasn't aware that someone wanted through as his line of sight was elsewhere. She noted his red, seemingly menacing, eyes, now recalling seeing him before. Though, instead of saying anything to him, Akane simply stopped before him and waited for his focus to return towards the direction in which his body faced. She didn't look up - only forward, for low-key impact. |

"Hehe...told you it'd be good." Nanayo said with a chuckle, the waiter still in her clutches. As Lawrence was recovering from the hot-tempered Akane's assault, the Hummingbird released her grip on her captive. Reaching into her pocket. she produced a roll of currency. Pulling a fifty-dollar bill from the wad, she slipped it into the waiter's pocket. "Now then. You didn't see a thing, get it?" the Osiris said softly as she returned the rest of the money to her pocket. Her tone was slightly threatening, meant to reinforce her 'kind' gesture with the threat of potential hostility. Half ecstatic at the unexpected 'tip', and half scared to death, the waiter nodded silently, acknowledging the girl's statement. "Good. Now then...that girl over there..." Nanayo continued, directing his attention to a blue-haired Obelisk girl who was seated several tables away from the incident. "Don't you think she's been waiting long enough for someone to take her order?" Nodding once more in agreement, the waiter took a moment to tidy his disheveled hair, before walking over to the girl's table. Well...actually it was more of a slow jog. And who could blame him, really? Especially after what the poor young man had just gone through... At the same time, Akane had started to make her exit too. Hugging the wall, Nanayo kept quiet as the Amazon made her approach. After all...as much as the taller young woman wanted to harass her 'nemesis' and tease her about how she had acted in a manner little better than the common delinquent...she felt that the poor girl had had enough embarrassment for one day. Indeed, as hard as it may have been to believe...even someone as malicious, violent, and hot-tempered as Nanayo Shingetsu could be compassionate at times. Although...that still didn't quite explain why she had paid off the waiter and essentially saved the Dragonfly from the humiliation of being kicked out of the cafe. Perhaps the two were closer than their heated rivalry would lead one to believe? As the clearly annoyed and slightly humiliated Osiris passed by, seemingly unaware of the presence of the taller girl, she came to a stop behind a rather rude young man who was blocking the door. Or was it beside? Oh who knows...after all, the lack of sunlight clearly made things difficult to see. At least...that would be Nanayo's excuse on the off chance she had to describe the situation later. Either way, the boy's rather large frame was blocking the door...and it didn't seem like he was intent on moving anytime soon. What a pain... Letting off a silent sigh, Nanayo happened to glance out of the nearby window where she happened to see...Lawrence? What the hell!? How did he get outside!? I mean...the exit was blocked, right!? When did... Momentarily bewildered by this sudden turn of events, the confusion was fleeting as a new thought came to the her. He was obviously going somewhere to sulk and/or lick his wounds, right? So why not add insult to injury? Or injury to injury? Or...oh forget it. She could figure out what to do to him later. He was getting away! Of course, there WAS a slight problem. Vernon was still blocking the way out...and she didn't exactly want Akane to know she was there, out of concern that she may be agitated further. Of course...that could be fun too, but Nanayo had already resolved herself to leave the aspiring class president alone. For now at least. Glancing around the waiting area, she considered going out one of the windows...but they were either much too narrow or sealed shut. Either way, she wouldn't be leaving that way. Perhaps make her way out through the side exit, across the main floor? Nah...then she'd feel compelled to do horrible things to Lawrence's would-be 'Squire'. It was then that Nanayo noticed a door at the end of the room, with the words 'Employees Only' plastered across the front in big red lettering. Thinking back to when she first entered the restaurant, the raven-haired girl remembered that there was a second floor to this building, with tall windows that would allow easy access outside...in theory at least. That is, of course, assuming that a set of stairs lay beyond this door...and not some employee coat room or something. "Oh well...it's worth a shot." Nanayo whispered to herself, as she made a mad dash for the door in question. Thankfully, it wasn't locked...something she hadn't even thought of initially. Slipping silently into the area beyond, she was delighted to find that there WAS access to the second floor. Quickly ascending up the staircase, the Osiris found herself face to face with a second door. Without a second thought the Hummingbird tore open this newest obstacle, revealing a rather extravagant employee lounge, as well as several doors leading to who knows where. Ignoring these for the moment, as well as the shocked cries of the two people she had so rudely barged in on, Nanayo darted over to the windows. Leaping through them and onto the overhang outside, she looked frantically in both directions down the walkway, hoping to find her quarry still somewhere nearby. She was in luck too; as he was still in the general vicinity...though he had already gained quite a lead on her. That wasn't a problem though. After all...he HAD to be weighted down by all of that equipment. Hell...even if he wasn't, logic dictated that more agile Osiris girl would still be significantly faster than him, right? "You're not getting away from me, Lancelot." Nanayo said, a wicked grin adorning her pretty face. Hopping down from the overhang, she took off after the Sebek at a breakneck pace, fully intent on making his life miserable for a little while longer. Vernon continued to look around the right side of the cafe. He noticed all of the quaint little things that made it different from a resteraunt. He continued to look around until he noticed something. Beside his monstrous shadow was another, smaller one. He looked down and to his left to see a female beside him. He thought about what she could want for a second before remembering he still was blocking off the door. "Oh, I am sorry, Please excuse me." Vernon said as he took one gigantic step and turned 180 degrees. The doorway was now clear and he had a view of the girl who he thought was leaving. |

[OCC: I was away for 2 days and the topic went 6 pages?  ]Kenichi was apparently chatting with the manager. Originally intended to complain about the bad management and poor hygiene, he was drawn to the manager friendliness. After hearing the manager explanation, she (yeah, the manager is a 'she') started to tell his hard work getting the cafe up. Dazzled by the story, he stayed to hear. She was getting to the last of her stories when Kenichi heard the 'knight's shouting. "Excuse me, I think I've been here to long enough. My friend should be waiting right now." he said. The manager just smiled. ============================================================== "Oh my goodness.." Kenichi gasped. The table where the knight and Miss Akane was empty, the chair on the floor. The atmosphere was unnatural, as if some fight had happened before. To his relief, he also saw Vernon. But then again, he had a maiden to attend to, so Vernon can wait later. He returned to the table where the girl sat. "They offered their deepest apology," he said to Kristy. "Um... anyway... have you seen some weird guy in an armor? He was there a while ago.." he asked her, not knowing what had happened between Akane and Lawrence. |

"Um...yeah" she stammered looking up at Kenichi, "He was talking to that girl when she punched him square in the face!" The girl told Kenichi through scared eyes. "I wen't to help him but he just got up and left not saying a word to any of us besides that scary girl" Kristy informed. "I dont want to meet her again" she said breathing a sigh of relief knowing that the angry girl had stormed out of the cafe. Kristy was waiting for Kenichi to go after Lawrence, because he wouldn't have asked where the Sebek was unless he was following him. Anyways Kristy just wanted to get out of the cafe as soon as possible, never before had drinking coffee been so eventful. She closed her eyes and frowned leaning back in her chair. If it was embarrasing for Kenichi to talk to her it was embarassing sitting here after getting frightened and spitting coffee everywher. (lol short post) |

"Akane punched him!?" his eyes widen in bewilderment."That was....unexpected," he said. Since he said too much about this love thingy, Kenichi assumed that he knew how to charm a lady. He shrugs. Maybe Akane was too much for him to handle. Kenichi could see that she was getting uncomfortable. Maybe it is because he had made her wait so long. Or maybe... she was uncomfortable around him. No matter, looks like his business here was done. But still, he do enjoyed the conversation, although it looks like she's doing more talk and he was just sitting around, blushing like some kind of idiot. "Well, I guess I'll be going then. See you, Miss Jone," he said, clumsily rose to his feet. He walked towards the exit. He was thinking where Lawrence will probably go. Near the exit, he almost bumped with a towering figure, "Sorry," he looked up, and noticed the red eyes and hair. "Vernon?" |

Vernon was still trying to stifle back laughter from overhearing what the girl had said. "Lawrence got punched in the face by a girl. Oh, I wish I could have seen that." he mumbled as he let out a little laughter. His laughter was quickly subsided when he heard a voice call his name from beside him in the form of a question. He stopped laughing and looked to where the voice was coming from to see none other than the person he was looking for, Kenichi. "Hey Kenichi, what luck running back into you in the first place I looked. How have you been?" he asked him as though nothing had happened. |

The short girl frowned when Kenichi left, she was having fun with him but now it seemed he would run off after Lawrence. She had shrugged and looked down at her empty mug and sighed again. It seemed time to leave, the waitress that had given her the coffee walked over and left a bill on the table. Taking out some pocket money she dropped it onto the bill and got up walking towards the door. She walked past the red haired giant and exited the cafe with a smile on her face. |

"Thank you," Akane replied dryly before departing. At least the tall, red-haired young man was polite enough. Now, as she headed back to the Osiris dorm, she considered getting back onto her routine scheduling. Even a light jog would help her relax and reflect. She sighed. "What kind of day is this turning into...?!" she quietly complained to herself. [To: (Jenna's/Kana's/Akane's Room)] |
