Always wears a watch on her left hand. Non-uniform clothing is blue. Known family: Parents William and Robyn Sanders, brother Jay Sanders. Biography: Aoi lost her biological parents when she was very young. Her parents' closest friends felt obligated to adopt Aoi into their family. As she grew up, she found herself taking an interest in the hobbies of Jay Sanders, her new older brother. She had always looked up to him, and decided that any game he played would be a fun adventure. She became Jay's foremost rival in several of Industrial Illusions' hit games - Duel Monsters, Dungeon Dice Monsters, Monster World. Her brother decided that it would be interesting to see her go to some Duel Monsters tournaments. Confident in her abilities, she agreed to his plan. She selected her cards to accommodate her passion for the ocean. Her Umi deck was moderately successful in the tournament, breaking even with wins and losses. Despite these losses, however, she still considered herself to be one of the stronger duelists in the region, and her pride increased with each passing victory. After a few more years, Jay enrolled in a special academy, one themed around the game of Duel Monsters. While she missed her regular opponent, Aoi understood that Jay was pursuing his passion for gaming at the elite school. Jay was admitted as a Ra Yellow, but ascended to Obelisk Blue after his first year. During his time at Crimson Wind Academy, Jay gained notoriety with his machine deck, and his signature card, Boss Rush. After graduation, he returned home to enter more tournaments, doing substantially better than before. Aoi learned several more tricks from him before heading off to Crimson Wind herself. Aoi was accepted into Crimson Wind Academy as an Obelisk Blue. She feels that she can surpass her brother's accomplishments. Jay continues to support her as he can, competing in tournaments and sending her valuable prize cards. Aoi primarily uses variations of Umi decks, though she also has a passion for Zombie cards.
